I submitted an application to university of Manitoba about 2 months ago for winter of 2016, my application is still under review. Hope university of Manitoba doesn't have something like that. Thanks for your contribution bro
University of Manitoba doesn't require you to pay upfront. In fact, the deadline for payment of fees is usually few days into resumption.

Thank you for your e-mail. We can not to
anything to fasten the process as it high
commission's decision to grant you the study
permit.
You have to wait to hear back from them and if
they request another offer letter we will defer
your admission to the next intake and send you
a new offer.
Thank you
AysemThis the mail I got from my school after following the advice frm the house....

my sponsor will not release such money until they issue the study permit bro, beside the refund policy of the university if the CIC rejects study permit is another issue.
I want to know if there's anyone that got his/her permit without paying the part payment.
paying school fees does not have any effect on your visa application, its on CIC website
But u need to consider the deadline on ur admission letter

I'm new here. I applied for visa on November 2014, did my Biometrics on 9th of Dec. 2014, did my medicals January 2015, my passport was requested for on April 2015, got my visa August 27th 2015. It was not easy it took serious patience and the grace of God. I just want to know if anyone that applied when I applied experienced the same long proccessing time of more than 8 months. Thank you.
Is it a study visa or work visa?

I have checked it, i understand you situation perfectly.
Assuming u are applying for Visa after that due date, den non payment of tuition will affect u, but since u are applying before that day its nt a must u pay. Just tell ur sponsor to get set wt the money cos cic might ask you to go and pay before approving your visa, have seen cases like dat or pay about 3k out of d whole money.

Please house, my original international passport was collected with my documents during visa application submission. Is that ok? Cos I see from comments of folks on here saying they submitted their passport after CIC requested for it.
Please enlighten me friends. Thanks.

Yes it's normal if you did paper application. Passport request is for online applicants.

Wow, that sure sounds like a breakthrough. I'm about submitting my application but my undergraduate transcript isn't ready and I want to go ahead and submit with my student copy of transcript. Fingers crossed....or should I include a cover note stating how slow my school responds to transcript requests?

I applied with my student copy

It’s a long story, please it’s worth the read.
I have been on this thread since part 7, and don’t go a day without reading posts here. Thanks to you guys for keeping things going on here, and from now I will try my best in helping people out, as I have enough experience to. This is my story guys.

School: Lambton College, Sarnia.
Course: International business management (PGD)
Applied on: 10th June, 2015.
Biometrics: 10th June, 2015.
Medical call up: 7th August, 2015.
Medical started: 13th August, 2015.
Medical completed: 19th August, 2015.
Approval Mail: 1st September, 2015.

Documents submitted
1. CIC Documents.
2. Sponsor (Dad) statement of account (Business): Balance= #4million, Inflow= #103million, Outflow= #99million.
3. Tuition fee receipt: 1st semester
4. Business documents, tax certificate, Land and assets.
5. Future employment letter as heir to the company.
6. S.O.P (3 pages), letter of sponsor, Birth certificate, NYSC certificate, B.sc Certificate.
• I took a big risk of not submitting police report, as I saw it as optional.
• I am the last child and my dad’s only dependant.

Important tips
For anyone called up for medical please;
• take your time out to check your blood pressure before going.
• make sure you relax and calm down your nerves when you get there, you can try out deep breathing techniques for calming down.
• Avoid salty foods and other food that increases blood pressure few days to medicals.

When I was having my medicals my BP was high (149mmhg 97mmhg) because I was very nervous, so after the whole test, I was told to come for further tests which include serum, ECG and cardio checks. To avoid unnecessary stress, hypertension and cost, its better you try and control your anxiety level. You won’t like to experience what I went through till when I got this approval mail.

NOTE: the acceptable blood pressure readings for Canadian standard is >140mmhg (systolic) >90mmhg (diastolic).
Never give up on your dreams, and remember with God and prayers all things are possible. I wish everyone all the best.
