Five persons have been killed and one baby injured in Bokkos LGA, Plateau State in what locals are calling a continued attack by armed herdsmen.

At around 8am yesterday, five Plateau indigenes from Tanti in Bokkos LGA set out to Mai Katako market in Bokkos. The group comprised of three men and two women; one of the women had her three month old baby strapped to her back.

They were ambushed before they got to the market. The adults were shot by the armed men who proceeded to hack their faces with machetes.

The three month old baby was also shot but survived the gruesome incident and is currently receiving medical care.

Bokkos, home to the Ron, Mushere and Kulere tribes has come under heavy attacks in recent years.

Between January and May last year, 30 horrific and isolated attacks were recorded in the LGA.

Bokkos is also home to Senator Joshua Dariye, the former Plateau State Governor and the Plateau State University.

Let them continue to drink brukutu as Fulanis continue to kill them.

The middle belt has only themselves to blame if they can not defend themselves in this new jihad.

If they can't defend themselves , I suggest they strongly consider converting enmasse o Islam.

Bloody coward fools

Nigeria is a jungle and the primal law of the jungle is survival of the fittest.

Its a dog-eat-dog world we live in and you must stand up for yourself because no one will.
