angelo82:I exited my transcorp at #2.39 yesterday when i saw the weakness that it hadn't gone beyond #2.40 as against my expectation of #2.52. For now,its too early to buy anything now because they are all still expensive(imagine buying afriprudential @2.25 and ubcap@1.14and out at #2.76 and #1.34 respectively. I believe that by Friday or Monday we are likely to see more sweet cute damsels to buy than buying now. Expecting@transcorp at #1.80,ubcap@0.90,Nem@0.58,Afriprudential @#1.80,sterling @#1.20(sterling is too expensive as its earnings keep depreciating),Fidelity @1.00,Skye@#1.70. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by angelo82: 12:02pm On Sep 02, 2015 |
Brent is 48.74...............This is bear has nothing to do with oil...........Oil will still go up more.................. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sellydion: 12:09pm On Sep 02, 2015 |
angelo82: Nay, oil dictates for now. Oil price go up market sky rocket all over the world. Oil begins to fall again, market come down. What I can not say is, if this is profit taking on crude oil or not. If oil take a further swing high. The market will be fine , if low continues be ready for further bearish movement of stocks. |

For those who bought at base prices...it's just a matter of reduced profits. There is nothing alarming about the market. Opportunity for those who missed the train to join now. Jumping out Access is knee jerk response and gross miscalculation.....At least collect your dividends. |

sellydion:Add naira going down to it,also, add delay in appointments of ministers especially "finance minister" to give a clearer picture even though the economic direction is known by some blunt economic realist both here in the Nigerian economic space and outside the nija shores. |

FannySwindler:Fannyswind, are u saying somebody who bought at #4.05 and out at #5.14 should wait for one stupid dividend and allow all the gains gained to be wiped off.For me its good sb is out at #5.14 while looking for new opportunity to enter at d right time.Hmmm one had learnt so much here,so let it be. 2 Likes |

FannySwindler: Not easy to predict this Market ...If u want to exit a stock u must do your calculation very well , or else u will keep exiting and buying high ..u will just be going in circles with no Tangible Profit or even Loss |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Nobody: 1:10pm On Sep 02, 2015 |
Lancee. Am preaching what I have done. Jumped in 4.00 and jumped out 5.14. Profit made. Jumped in 4.94 now 4.97 ....even if it is to collect dividends...I will still get nothing less than 67k plus chances that it can go above 4.97 or below 4.97. Profit from sales + Profit from dividends= Max. Profit. If above ....no worries profit continues If below...no worries will wait even if its long term. 1 Like |

emmatok: Have you thought of the effect the introduction of Whatsapp, Viber, Skype, BBM and the like has on the revenues of these companies? How many people still waste credit to call their love ones when they can use services like whatsapp and viber calls for free? A huge chunk of their revenue comes from international calls and how many people still use their phones to make international calls when you have free services like voip calls? Telecom companies are currently having huge drop in revenues due to the recent invention of whatsapp, voip and others and there is possibility that this will continue. Why do you think MTN is coming to the market to list? Where were they all the while telecom business was still booming? Now the tin don red for them and they have decided to list. I think due diligence is required when it comes to investing in telecom companies. I don't know why I see them as thieves. 6 Likes |

angelo82: Check again Brent is currently $44.57. 0ne thing most people fail to understand is there's actually another GLOBAL MELTDOWN going on but the powers that be are controlling it in a way that it won't boomerang like the previous ones, In order words this time around it happening on a slow and steady basis. that's why we keep witnessing a new low frm time to time. |
