Yeah the driver of the car behind the truck said that he knew that the truck couldn't climb the bridge without the container falling off. That was why he took the pics. The driver of the truck should be jailed. Simple.

thanks for your answers bro, some peoples questions here and thinking is really embarrassing, like look at peoples comments, gosh!

What should we do with this now undecided

It means all concerned officials of the agencies along its route should resign or be sacked because OBVIOUSLY it was tilted in this pix and was potentially dangerous but they were busy collecting N50 instead of doing the needful, stop the deadtrap at the fisrt sight of it by the FRSC, LASTMA or whatever.

We will we start valueing our jobs and other people's lives in this country?

What's the point of unearthing the picture of the truck prior to the accident?

Okay the right rear indicates the shock absorber could have been damaged but that's not a definitive proof of absolute blame without examining the truck or recounting the series of event just before it turned over?

Not necessarily the Shock.. Sometimes the Load in the container is unbalanced and also causes the vehicle to list.

Guys don't be fooled. The carriage of the truck in the picture has yellow and red stripes, while the carriage of the truck in the accident has blue and white stripes. Before and after indeed!!!

Wrong Mate. its blue and white stripes on the sides and red and yellow stripes behind. clearly the container wasn't securely tethered. There need to be a standard for all these logistics companies to adhered to or else we will continue to experience these kind of avoidable tragedies.

Shame no one had the guts to stop this truck. So no Customs, LASTMA,or VIO saw this truck from where it started its journey till when it got to Ojuelegba!!!

There are demons among us posing and pretending to be humans. They do horrible things and cause terrible things to happen to ignorant and innocent humans. There are demons among us. Beware of the demons on the road. Beware of them.

Wait o. Who took these pics? Does the person have prior knowledge of the accident before taking ds pics? Or do people jut go about taking pics of anything they see on d road?
Re: Ojuelegba Accident: Pictures Of The Container Before It Fell Over by christinie(f): 5:28pm On Sep 03, 2015
After a careful study of the container photograph I was able to make this lone observation:

1. The container was not strapped to the truck, that is to say that the container was not tied to the truck with either a chain or a rope.

Very risky.

But the weight is well supported by each independent damper especially when the dimensions and spacings are factored into the equation.

It's not like gravity comes into play unless you are looking at the unstable weight against terminal velocity

Look closely at the picture, on the left rear of the container isn't locked against the flat board of the truck ...
The point of unearthing the pic could be enormous ...

Someone probably who was safety conscious took the pics ....

So When YOU see such scenario in the future if u can't do anything to help everyone, just don't go near such trailer ....THATS ONE POINT ...

The load should have been strapped. Better chance not to fall off.

That's a robust and beautiful lie... The container's bed colour of the accident truck is blue striped with white while the one in this picture is red striped with white, it's another picture entirely; that's my obsevation anyway. I guess you are just trying to corroborate your story by using this as your verisimilitude

I swear I don't understand this generation anymore, it's like giving someone expo yet the person is asking how to use it. Why are kids of this generation so lazy? You saw the link and cc, why not click on it via Twitter to read the full story? Haba, to listen to news is even jamb for this generation, to read is exam, what a big shame.

Op you are very observant and deserve a job from NEMA

if our officer can be more observant like this, more accident will be averted in future.

Everything based on if the picture is true.
