Obiagelli: How do you know what happens in a systematic progression? A woman in labour must have undergone other biological processes before the consummation of the gestation. Our refineries are in labour waiting for the birth of refined products. |

Obiagelli:You no get shame at all, probably you think you are talking to your illiterate cousins up north... How does getting gas to power to the thermal plants a new policy? how is that different from what Jonathan through David Ige, the GED Gas, NNPC was doing with many projects ... is there any project he silently approved that will give life to such policy?? Your second response shows that you are nothing but an empty propagandist. Shame! 7 Likes |

Obiagelli:There are two major issues that caused it... 1. Consistent blow up of gas pipelines especially the Escravos to Lagos pipeline system and the Trans Forcados trunkline.. you'll agree that hundredths of kilometers of pipelines are very difficult to police especially those ones in very swampy terrains. 2. The last minute strikes by oil workers which led to the shutdown of gas production and evacuation infrastructure. it's very unfortunate that you've pretended not knowing who built and kept in a good shape most of the power plants.. Go ahead and tell us how Buhari built any of them. 5 Likes |

Obiagelli: It will be dishonest of me to take credit for repair of Refineries – Buhari President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that it would be dishonest for him to take credit for the imminent commencement of operation of one of the Port Harcourt refineries. This is contrary to the widespread rumour especially on the social media that the refinery immediately sprung back to life as a result of the election of the President. In a Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) interview anchored by Mrs. Omotayo Omotosho which has been placed on YouTube, President Buhari pointedly refused to take credit for the repair of the refinery. NNPC Denies Spending N152 billion for Turnaround maintenance “The nominated partners, as sole bidders, came up with humongous price offers after two years of thorough and exhaustive scope of work definition and price negotiations. The proxies were also unwilling to provide post rehabilitation performance guarantees,” Alegbe said. The spokesman added that the new arrangement which kicked off in October 2014, entailed phased and simultaneous rehabilitation of all refineries using in-house and locally available resources in line with the spirit and letters of the Nigerian Content Law. The strategy he added, also embraced the direct use of original equipment manufacturer representatives to effect major equipment overhaul and rehabilitation. The statement further disclosed that it was projected that the new strategy would create 70 per cent reduction in costs which would help in mitigating the financing challenges of the NNPC visa-a-vis refinery rehabilitation. “The phased rehabilitation programme started in October 2014, after the required funding stream was established, and will last for 18 months,” Alegbe stated. “Over 60 per cent of TAM materials have been delivered to Port Harcourt Refinery and installation of such equipment and parts is in progress”, Alegbe said, adding that material orders and deliveries to Kaduna and Warri refineries were substantial and sufficient to operate the production process. http://dailypost.ng/2015/01/14/nnpc-denies-spending-n152bn-turn-around-maintenance-refineries/ 6 Likes |

rolchi:Its like you and your friend are angry the GMD was able to avoid spending so much to maintain the PH refinery. Or were you the company that dropped the overpriced quote? @Topic. I'm sure those overpriced quotes from those foreign companies had the strings of Nigeria politicians that stand to collect massive kickbacks from the highly inflated cost. One of the ways Politicians loot the Nation. |
