Egusi soup is sweet. But i like it better when mixed with vegatable soup. Afterall, variety, they say, is the spice of life.

I'm ok with two lovers. Having one lover for me is tasteless and monotonous.

That's interesting. I just hope you're not the type that talks about Adam & Eve when it suits your argument. Remember that it was ONLY Adam & Eve, not Adam, Eve &..

Now just for curiosity sake, what do you think of homosexuality? Is it wrong/right? Why?

having one partner is the best, i wonder how people divide their love, time and attention all in the name of cheating, these are the things that should be focused on one trusted partner.

and remember the father of faith, Abraham had more than one wives - sarah and keturah and a mistress; remember the man after God's heart, David had more than one wives and had infact slept with another man's wife; Remember, Soloman, the wisest man, according to the bible, had a trailer-load of wives and mistress; Remember Jacob had more than one wives. Unlike solomon, i don't want a village of wives. My taste is simple - just two lovers when i'm single and one wife when i'm married.

If you really curious like a cat to hear my views on homosexuality, then come over to my place.

I wasn't the person you asked but anytime I see this, I always want to do amebo.

It all depends on where your moral compass originates from. If it's religion, I guess you can say it's wrong. If you are not a religious person, then there is no reason, scientifically speaking, to say it's wrong.

Hmm even more interesting, just as long as you REMEMBER there were also the likes of Jezebel wink IMO, your examples prove nothing other than the deterioration in the nature of man (human), caused by the apple incident. God in the begin created ONE man & ONE woman, which means that's how he intended it to be until man (human) got greedy/ insatiable & they got kicked out of that little forest. Abraham & the rest came after the corruption occurred in the human nature, they were not the perfect creation God intended it to be.

Even religious folks have no real leg to stand on when it comes to judging people. Us here today are byproducts of an imperfect man. Let's all blame Adam & Eve for all the weird type relationships that are happening today. It's all religious & biblical wink

my examples prove amply enough that polygamy has and always had been there and the supposed revered men of God and heroes of faith had their fair share of it. For the fact that God created one man and one woman doesn't necessarily mean he intended a man to marry just one wife just as it doesn't necessarily mean God intended the world to be occupied by Just Adam and Eve. God had to give express directives that he wanted them to multiply. There is no express directive God wanted a man to marry just one wife. Yes, God said multiply and replenish the earth. Did he say how? No! Did he say their children should marry only one person? no. So, stop implying and adding what was never there. (as an obiter, it would even seem God permitted incest at the time as Adam and eve were his only creature at the time. Their children were expected to marry themselves if they were to reproduce and it continued through the time of Abraham who married his cousin Sarah).

Just one question. After the fall out from the jungle, did or didn't God allow polygamy at the time? Yes He did. How do i know? God never reproved abraham or Jacob for marrying more than one wife and whatever you don't reprove, you approve. so, God by not reproving polygamy, approved it. And if God is the same yesterday, today, forever and never 'changeth', isn't it safe to conclude that God still has no qualm with polygamy? Yes, it is safe.
Are you aware it was not God who said ''therefore shall a man leave his..and shall cleave unto his wife and both shall be one flesh''? God never, like Buhari didn't make the 100days promise, made that decree. Guess who? Adam! You need proof? Ok here -
"And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." (Genesis 2:23).
"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." (Genesis 2:24).

i know you want to say that When Jesus came, he nailed the old ways to the cross. If that is so, why are you still paying tithe? Is tithe not an old way of doing things in malachi. Do you know that the bible never said christ came to abolish the law? As a matter of truth, christ came to fulfill the law! What does it mean to fulfill? It means to carry out, to achieve or realised something desired or promised. So, christ came to carry out the law! I know you are shocked. Let me remind you that there is no where in the entire bible that Jesus said we should marry one wife. If there is, please kindly show us. We will be glad.

Waiting for your reply.

Too long, I only read like a few lines & the part I cared to remember is "stop implying" & yet parts of your post I read is full of what YOU think God intended for his creation. Bottom line, people were evicted from Eden because they got "wiser", realised they were nekkid, which is why he chased them away. That to me makes his intentions clear, that he didn't want them to know about the difference between man & woman. And if they didn't know the difference, then there wouldn't have been any reproduction. It's a bleeped-up that happened but he had to make do & live with it since his perfect creation was now corrupted.

Now make your reply shorter, it's still too early for novels. Dayum!

PS: You still remember his harsh parting words to Adam & Eve after their big revelation about nudity? I mean the one about forehead sweat & labour pains.

At the bolded, Adam said that? grin The Bible is so full of contradictions. What mother? What father? Because to my understanding he was a lone man (created of clay) before Eve was created. There must have been something potent in that apple that made one start hallucinating about imaginary parents grin

i'm afraid, this how far i can come with you in this argument. The emboldened in your post is a clear pointer to the fact that you are closed-minded and you rely on what some 'God of men' preach. My argument up there is not my personal conjecture but it's premised on facts - i quoted scriptures, took you back to the jungle and what transpired. If there is anyone whose argument is a mirror of what he/she 'THINKS', it should, without dubiety, be you as you don't any fact to back up your claims - no scripture. Just absolute vacuity of skeletal claims dangling inimically on your post screaming for support with evidence.

LOL, posting scriptures prove nada because the Bible itself is full of contradictions like I said in my previous post to you. It's common sense. Since you no longer want to talk about this, can we at least talk about Adam's imaginary parents? grin
