Nigeria, being the world’s 2nd most religious country –according to Pew Research- with a religiosity percentage of 90; 8% behind Pakistan, practically imbibes “beliefs” into any issue whatsoever, whether it appertains to religion or not: causing unwarranted obsession, discrimination, racism, and misuse of power. Education, Job acquisition, Lifestyle, and many more areas have all been affected by this ludicrous menace. No, not religion, nor its propagation, but the means and manners through which it is being propagated everywhere in Nigeria: Campuses being my major concern. source: http://www.campusdailies.com/2015/09/religious-propagation-on-nigerian.html?m=0 24 Likes 4 Shares |

When you see all these schools forcing people to go to chapel and all, you'll begin to wonder if there's an interpretation to the expression, 'every citizen is entitled to freedom of religion'. Well, this is Nigeria. Lalasticlala ishilove seun thumbs up op 10 Likes |

Interesting. However, if you know you can't conform, don't go to such schools. I as a Christian will not go to a school where the hijab is enforced, and I'm sure the vice versa pertains to the muslims. If you can't conform, find an alternative because most private schools in Nigeria are built on the foundation of their own unique ideologies. 36 Likes 2 Shares |

A religion that was handed down by the slave masters can never improve the lives of the ex slaves but keep them tied and married to their chains. Christianity happens to be the ancient Mithra religion anyway. Mithra was an European religion long before Jesus and his punishment on the cross. I hope it gets wiped out from Africa soon 17 Likes 3 Shares |

K but the real problem with nigeria ain't religion, it's ethnic diversity, and it affects every aspect of our unity, ever section of our economy, religion just complements our ethnic diversity and makes it more agreeable the Nigeria was never meant to be one, 1 Like 2 Shares |

Am a Christian.... But what infuriates me about this thing is.... When you go for evening class only to be interrupted 30 mins later by dome people shouting 'claiming to pray' while disturbing others even when its during exam period claiming to speak in tongues sometimes you get so frustrated that you just have to go back home and when you ask them to leave the place or reduce their voice they say the school authority has given them permission to use the place.... For crying out loud does the school authority not know other people want to read... 13 Likes 3 Shares |

Ishilove:Not when students were not informed of the compulsion in adhering to the school's religion doctrines. In most cases, the students didn't know they had to strictly abide by the school's doctrine before they were admitted. Besides, the primary objective of schools should be to impart knowledge and good character. 5 Likes |
