Hello house, good evening, it's been a long time. I have been busy all through I just got a mail from a lawyer friend in Canada, regarding the call for my file. The main queries from CIC are: I completed a course in 2011, why do I want to continue now?, they are not convinced my 3 sponsors will help me financially as stated, my statements of account was not clear enough and that my current appointment letter wasn't included in my application. Please how do I go about responding to all the queries, especially the first, I have spoken to my sponsors to pay part of what they promised to my account. I also want to avoid on-line application to ward off problem of unclear document(s). Will it be ideal for me to pay part of the school fees at this stage? Please I need the house to assist me with counsel and advises. I intend to reapply any time from now for January Admission. God bless you all |

Ok I was denied visa yesterday and my sch starts sept 8 2015. Gonna refire this month! Questions; I'm I gonna write any letter to CiC when refiring? A canadian immigration consultant help me gain admission, can she help with visa processing? Can I use a different S0A when Re-firing? |

Graphical:Graphical, What course did u complete in 2011? Was ur employment letter not included? You are on-track if u ask ur spponsors to transfer the sum to ur account as that will help to clear any doubt and also make payments for ur fees if u can. When did u graduate? U need to show that u have personal assets that will serve as hometie to ur return back to the country. Am assuming u graduated years ago and u have been working. Try produce a clear copy when u apply online or betterstill take the paper route if u choose...What school are u going for this winter btw? 1 Like |

I need a quick response please o before I enter one chance. I reside in Port Harcourt have read most parts of this thread and haven't heard anyone mention they did medicals with Prime Consultants (the only CIC assessors in PHC). If any, please how efficient and responsive are they? Should I go to Lagos to do the medicals with regular assessors? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Crich(f): 9:00am On Sep 06, 2015 |
nattie5: You can do it at prime medical in ph. Someone on this forum did hers with them and has her trv. Good luck. |

Thanks Berex01, I completed a Masters program in Educational Management in 2011, I am going for Educational Leadership now. (same masters). Do you think the fact that I had Masters before, it is now affecting my application? I actually attached my letter of employment then. But I think it was not clear because I had to squeeze in most of the documents. I am using paper route this time to avoid such errors. Advice welcome please o. Would like to re-apply anytime soon o. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by lanrayx: 11:11am On Sep 06, 2015 |
Pls anyone what is the max school fees of a masters in Canada, University of Regina to be precise |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by berexio1: 11:17am On Sep 06, 2015 |
Graphical:Ofcourse ur previous masters in thesame field is affecting ur application now cos the VO would find it hard to understand why u aren't going for a progression from masters to phd and wud tink u are just using the admission to immigrate. With that sorted and everyother loophole closed, u should get ur Visa this time.. Cheers! 1 Like |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Graphical(f): 12:51pm On Sep 06, 2015 |
Berex01, thanks once again, so how do you think I should handle this now. From my own point of view though both courses are Educational, but a course in leadership should give me an edge in getting a job when I return home. Also courses in educational leadership is not readily available in most Nigerian universities at Masters level. Can't I decide to go for Masters in two courses? Another thing is that my GPA then was 3.6 against the 4.0 required by Memorial university for PhD. I have home tie of a husband and Two children, landed property etc. Even if I might eventually decide to go for PhD, make I get good result for Masters now |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Graphical(f): 1:03pm On Sep 06, 2015 |
Thanks Berex01, can you advice on how I can get this sorted out? Though both Educational, my thought is Masters in leadership from reputable institution like Memorial will give me an edge in getting a better job on return to Nigeria o. I didn't meet their requirement for PhD as I got GPA of 3.6 against the 4.0 they require. Is it really wrong to have 2 Masters degrees, though similar but managing and leading are two different things na IMO. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by berexio1: 1:38pm On Sep 06, 2015 |
Graphical:To me those 2 courses are thesame..managerial is leadership. Atleast that's how I view it. Your CGPA form naija is 3.6/5? Have u tried evaluating it to Canadian standard? It could be close to 4 if not 4.Plus u cud look at other schools that offer the course, write a good SOP and get an offer.Concerning personal assets, did u submit ur SOA, and property the last time? How much was in ur SOA if u submitted. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by TheBae: 1:38pm On Sep 06, 2015 |
What do you mean by 3.6 as against 4.0 required by MUN? 3.6 is a B so you are qualified to apply for masters in pretty much any school of your choice. Or am I misunderstanding you? Graphical: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by TheBae: 1:40pm On Sep 06, 2015 |
Her cgpa will be about 3.2/4 Canadian standard which meets the qualification of a B so I'm very positive she'll get admission in other schools with a good SOP like you said berexio1: |
