hadassaheke: Hallo. I submitted a letter from my school. MSPE accepts them. P.S. I hope I haven't missed any other Qs that you might've directed to me before. I noticed this one by chance -- I rarely visit the thread these days. If anyone has any Q specifically for me, do ask it in a PM. I won't miss it that way. 2 Likes |

Obiwannn: Nwa nne. Hmm. Merely meeting the minimum requirement for the TOEFL or the IELTS test scores are meant to satisfy the English language requirements. It's not the-higher-the-better like the GRE and other aptitude tests, or your GPA. A minimum required score is as good as a perfect score. 2 Likes |

dolpaz: I haven't written the IELTS before, but TOEFL was easy enough for me. Also I think that you actually speak to a real person in the IELTS speaking test, while you literally write -- with a pencil on a paper -- in the writing section. So if you might feel nervous to speak to an actual person, you may prefer the TOEFL, where you are required to speak into a recording device. Another pro of the TOEFL is if handwriting is not your strongest skill set (like me). The con of the TOEFL will be if you cannot type quickly, on the other hand. The rule of thumb for deciding which language test to take would be first of all to see what language test the school accepts or prefers. If both are accepted and no preference is given to any, you might then want to consider the aforementioned points. 6 Likes 1 Share |

victz:The reason it's so expensive is demand... Only 40 percent of Germans own their homes... There's so many people to rent... Here's a link. Read through it and find out . And to be honest, I don't think renting in Germany is that expensive. Just in some areas. Big cities, Big money... .. http://qz.com/167887/germany-has-one-of-the-worlds-lowest-homeownership-rates/ 2 Likes 1 Share |

What I asked was just a question. You answered as if one does not know the importance of abolition of tuition fee. That the issue of accommodation should be looked into does not warrant such response. number13: 1 Like |

the influx of refugees shouldn't be a problem cause they will be shared among the member states in Europe and also as far as I know refugees are not allowed to work... then refugees from Afghanistan, Iraq, Macedonia and Pakistan will be deported back to their countries ...only refugees from Syria can stay for a long time while others will be deported within a year |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by lmuhopeful: 10:18pm On Sep 05, 2015 |
ellacute45: The problem with the refugees is not their number or their sharing employment slots with the locals. The real challenge is that these Arabs will most likely not want to integrate into the German or European way of life. They will want to keep doing stuff as if they are still in Syria. Once settled they may begin to protest the lack of Halal food or lack of minarets in the mosques. Should the German govt grant them citizenship or permanent residency they may begin to protest that their children cannot attend swimming lessons because they will only be wearing loose clothing and that is against their religious beliefs. These and many more are gonna definitely erupt. I see how Arab Muslims sometimes protest in America or UK about societal practices simply because they go against Islam. They forget that in their own Arab lands, they would hardly allow non Muslims to express their own religiois beliefs or lack thereof. 4 Likes |

lmuhopeful:Ya I'm sorry about my language... But u should see these guys. I feel like the actual refugees are back home dying, and the strong guys are coming in... To be honest they are very smart. And before u know it they will stop being refugees. Just a matter of time. |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 10:33pm On Sep 05, 2015 |
They will not leave their culture behind. They will start to misbehave and protest and cause trouble even after all the help given to them... Italy is less Organised and that's where these guys really do their bullshit... I called them names out of anger cause of things I was told by some family friends about them... Hopefully all this will be controlled in time. Or these guys will change their ways... Just don't want it to be that Europe is welcoming with open arms, an army... |

One cannot even differentiate between true refugees and well trained ISIS fighters who are using refugee status to gain entry into Europe. There must be a reason why rich Arab nations like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE etc are refusing to take them in. Many of them refused to stay in other European counties but chose to go to Germany because of the opportunity Germany offers. They have started trekking to Germany since yesterday they left the train station in Hungary because train refused to convey them to Germany. Germany is willing to accept them even as millions will be arriving in days to come. It doesn't even look like it's going to end soon. The war in Iraq and Syria doesn't look like it's going to end soon, no thanks to ISIS. I just hope Germany knows what they are doing. Zeeblamj01: 3 Likes |

I wonder what all the fuss is about. The Germans are not complaining (in the majority) and we here are crying fowl? Where is our humanitarian point of view? From a certain point of view, do we realize that they are more entitled to be in Germany than us? Do we realize that we could all be in their situation under different circumstances? We are going to Germany because we have a life, but we seek a better life. They are going to Germany because they don't have a life at all. As for not blending in, go and find out how much Nigerians are "blending" in many countries. We are more or less all in the same shoes; MIGRANTS. the only difference is that while most of us go for studies, they go for asylum. And God forbid should anything happen, we all have our naija to run back to, so why should we complain? The Germans who'll have no where to go are not complaining so we all should suck it up!!! Zeeblamj01 your comment is too racist and silly. Please take it down! 1 Like |

Williamso:I have taken it down... Was just pissed about some incidents. By the way, seeing some other groups (with women, children, and stressed out looking men) is quite touching. I feel for them and I'm not complaining about them being there. Just the fact that the bad ones are spoiling their chances of being accepted with open arms and hearts.. 1 Like |

Williamso: Williamso to be extremely honest.. I completely agree with you. I think it's heartless to feel bad if another country we are trying to gain entry to decides to help the helpless. Germany no send us work NA. No one has one single right to vex . There are more than 1 million Nigerians in the UK sef. More than 2 million Nigerians in the US sef. Yet no problem.. We shouldn't cry foul for 800k helpless people. It is well.. BUT the fear some peeps have here is the isis ish.. If u choose to imagine isis ish.. Omo u no go comot country o. 2 Likes |

Lmuhopeful said that the real refugees are the ones that they left behind in Iraq and Syria and that is true. The young able bodied guys among them are more than the women, children and the elderly. This people has an interior motive. They were chanting Germany! Germany! Germany! in the rail station in Hungary. Some of them even refused first aid that was administered to them because of a cross that was on the first aid box. I begin to wonder if they hate the Christian cross that much what are they doing in Christian Europe? Some were offered asylum in Austria, Czeh Republic and Iceland some stayed majority left for Germany. There must be a reason for them to want to go to the heart of Europe which is Germany. victz: Bro in my opinion.. They want to come to Germany because Germany's ECONOMY IS THE STRONGEST IN THE WHOLE OF EUROPE BY A MARGIN AND GERMANY WILLINGLY EMBRACES THEM. you need to read some of Angel Merkel 's recent speeches.. The economy is very strong.. Infact they said they don't even intend to raise taxes! 2 Likes |

twinkle1:They will not raise taxes. They are already paying a lot of tax as it is. Germany the refugees get better treatment. They give proper accommodation, clothing, feeding and leisure allowances included... So I understand why they want to go there. Hopefully this all works out well in it doesn't blow up in the face of Germany.. Arabs are driven( don't know what by) and dangerous if they choose to be. That's the fear most people have. We all feel pity for the refugees. 1 Like |

lmuhopeful:Many Nigerians don't blend-in in foreign countries. Blending-in goes beyond the vices. Simply not being able to eat their food is not blending-in; I'm sure you know that. Now you make the Nigerian vices seem petty and far between. How many arabs who have been offered asylum/residence go ahead blowing up their hosts? While they exist, they are the exception and not the rule. I watched many of the Syrian "able-bodied" men being interviewed on BBC. Most of them said they had to leave their families in Syria to go to Europe and hustle, then try and get them to Europe. Will you expect an old woman in her 60s or a child below 10 to be able to do that? As for the bolded, Germany has decided to accept them. I hope it's not too late to reject your admission and continue living here "amidst scammers and rogues". And oh, about 10,000 arabs entered Munich today. 1 Like |
