I do not even understand your confusion. You end up agreeing that the road leads to a slum called Itedo but confuse yourself by saying its part and parcel of Lekki Phase 1, even though you conclude that it is not your area. Well, like I said, which ofcourse you agree, Lekki Phase 1 Estate is by the left and Itedo Community is by the right, so if you say the road is in Lekki Phase 1, it means it is also in Itedo, since the road happens to be the boundary of both communities. And No !, We are not mugus. Lagos State Government is just anti-people, not just to the rich, but also to the poor, as you can see in the abandonment of this strategic road.

Guy, there is NO confusion! That road is part and parcel of Lekki Phase 1 Estate. The Itedo Community Road is just one of the roads, that branch off that road!! Ask anyone working at NTDA for a map of the estate! I used to work inside that same Phase 1 estate for a couple of years, and I have relatives who have lived there (and are still living there) for over 12 years!!

That road is not inside Itedo, please do NOT give any wrong impressions here! Do your research!

Why do you think the road is not fixed. Dome Church Pastor received 20m contract from church committee in 2012 to work on that road, By the way, Dome is located in Itedo, but failed to fix it well. Government has purposefully and intentionally abandoned most communities that poor people live. Fashola made a statement to that effect when he said that the tenement rate from VI will be used to develop VI and not Ajegunle, that, if your location doesnt pay tenement rate, he cant bring money from another place to develop other places that dont pay. Why dont you ask yourself. Why is every other road in Lekki Phase 1 estate completed and not that particular road ? It is just goverment bias. They tried to push away the community so they can sell the land, but the Eleguishi leader and the old man at Itedo had court cases that still hasnt been settled, until the eleguishi died and the son took over. I wanted to buy land there, but I was discouraged cos I cant obviously use it as collateral. Government has not till this minute approved that on the gazzette. Itedo remains illegal settlement till this minute. It is the same bias against the poor.

Guy, please get the approved Lekki Phase 1 Estate map from New Towns Development Authority (NTDA) of Lagos State, and review it properly!! Congratulations, but you owning a house in Phase 1 means little, if you do not know the history of that area.

Or talk to the first set of people that were original allotees of Lekki Phase 1 land over twenty years ago. I mean those that actually paid between =N=10,000 and =N=50,000 naira for their land in the mid-eighties, not the nouveau riche who came to buy property there many years later.

That road has always been part and parcel of Lekki Phase 1. It used to be the exit gate of the estate, and was actually the old 2nd roundabout before the Lekki-Epe expressway reconstruction started, and another roundabout was created at Marwa Estate Junction which now became the 2nd roundabout.

It is a huge eyesore to the Lekki Phase 1 community, that despite all the bigwigs that live in that estate they cannot put heads together to put pressure on govt to fix that road from the 3rd roundabout. Shame! There are other untarred and broken down roads, right inside the same estate crying for attention.
