when they are talking about general entrance qualification, what does tht mean?? |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by lmuhopeful: 10:14am On Sep 07, 2015 |
highbeey: In general that means those documents that grant you access to University in your own country. For us these include: waec certificate and jamb result (the colored print out with the jamb logo is sufficient). If you have an ND/HND/BSc result also include them all. P.S. Don't ever send originals oo..make photocopies of all your certificates and head to a notary public or to the german embassy to do the necessary certifications of these photocopies. The procedure for certification is clearly spelt out in one of the .pdf files on the embassy website Also NECO certificate works perfectly fine |

Highbeey this is my suggestion: 1)Visit www.daad.de/en and use the filters therein to narrow down a list of universities offering your course for either the winter or summer semester (whichever you prefer). You can also use google here. E.g. you can query "msc geophysics germany" and follow the search results. 2) Visit the Web pages of the programmes that you narrowed down thru step 1 3) Read up on the requirements of each individual program as stated on their web page 4) Work to gather all these required docs 5) When the docs are ready send them to the university according to the manner specified on each individual webpage. 6) Wait for your admission 7) Book your visa according to the list given to you by Kelvinpam yesterday Enter Germany and start flexing..and Jacking to oo Please refrain from asking people here about what documents you need to submit as no one can know for sure what documents your OWN programme requires. German study is unique in that each university has admission procedures that differ from those of other unis and even within the same uni, individual progeammes have different requirements: heck even in the same programme, BSc applicants must fulfil completeley different requirements from MSc applicants. So only you can help yourself with regards to the docs you have to submit and also the manner im which you have to submit them. However we here can assist you with critiquing your motivation letter or advice on what postal service you may have to use or which notary public or high court you may have to go for your certification. If you sre lucky some people here may have applied to some of the programmes you are also applying to or may even be current students there and then they will give you insider tips. It would also do you some good if you could google "uni-assist" and read up on their website. Good luck 6 Likes |

@highbeey; There are things you'll need to find out yourself without anyone telling you. If only you can start by reading the thread from page 1, it will do you a lot of good. Eke and some other guys advised you to go through the thread it contains a lot of vital informations. It took me several weeks to read through thread from part one and several months before I started commenting and asking questions. Am sorry if my language hurts. This is not the first time Imuhopeful and other people has sent German Academic Exchange website (www.daad/de/en) for you to go through and see for yourself. Am not against you asking questions that are not clear to you. No one is perfect, no one knows it all. We all ask questions that are not clear to us. But there are somethings that you are expected to know if only you can listen to those who have been telling you to make out time and go through the thread from page 1. highbeey: 2 Likes |

Hello house, just discovered this thread...please I need to make an enquiry..my wife majored in German language at Bsc level and she's planing to go for her masters in Germany and she hope to go with our kids..(5yrs & 2yrs)..but I'm a bit sceptical about the German environment especially for kids...my questions: 1. It is possible for her to travel with the kids? If yes..what are the requirements. 2. For guys who are already residing in germany...is germany a good place to raise foreign kids? I will appreciate an honest response asap. Regards |

lmuhopeful: Everything you wrote was right, except that they do not require your JAMB result. To get admission for a Bachelor degree in Germany, you need a WAEC or NECO result and an HND result or at least a one-year university transcripts (2 semesters). ND is not accepted. |

Zeeblamj01: Yeah. I do have the correct emails and numbers. In-fact, the message I got this morning from the foreigners office made me laugh in German. The Auslander said they were still expecting a document from the embassy here in Nigeria "can u imagine?". I had to send a mail to the embassy here, but no response yet. When I called their line, one babe just dey yarn me say make I patience saying it takes 6-8 weeks to process visa! For crying out loud, my enrolment deadline is 30th of this month. 6-8 weeks gets me towards the end of the month or first week of October. I just want to avoid last minute rush. Guys see me ooo. Abasi mgbon! |

Ethelbert006:Was ur mistake talking to that secretary on the phone in the first place. She doesn't know anything happening in the embassy. Her job is to answer calls. U should have told u to connect u to Frau Eisele.. Then she can check ur application status and tell u what's goin on. It's also possible that the person at ur aliens office that received ur file might not be on seat so they told u a story. It's hits serious if ur deadline in 30th... Push from both sides! 1 Like |

tmed1:He is not totally wrong. Some schools may ask for proof of University entrance certificate and in our (NIGERIA'S) case the jamb admission letter and results is our major UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE EXAMS and it's obvious from the name since you don't just fly to the University or polytechnic with your waec but of course many schools in Germany can do without it. 1 Like |
