Sir Peterichy, and u think your Octopus is right? Well, Octopus had been decieving its members since the day Oando closed the COP deal! Octopus needs some checkup and rebalancing of wheels...(kidding)! What is your joy if NSE fall into 20,000 range? Is it because you live overseas? Or is it because u are paid in foreign denomination? Or is it because you can take advantage of some of us? Chai, it is well!

If you want it paid directly into your bank account,(e-dividend), you will have to go and fill the e-dividend mandate with the registrar of the stock you are holding
Thanks so much.

The decision was made this afternoon.. It will probably be public by tomorrow..
Nigeria will be phased out over two month-end rebalancing periods begining september 30th and ending Oct 30th.
By Oct 30th, we'll be out of the index.

Who wants the bull run to end? undecided no need to take it personal
Equities and Fixed Income has an inverse relationship. So, if the yield in the fixed income space falls as a result of this, shouldn't we be expecting Bull of all Bulls?

I tire Sir. Before our acceptance into JP Morgan Index, NSE is functioning and we will continue to function. What about those countries not in the index, are they not surviving? Chai, some wishes will be tarnished when market voices its own opinion! Anyway, we are here!

The fact about this business is that as long as the companies in the market keep growing profits with great cash flow and dividends to go with it, the stock will keep performing in the long term. Even if you impose all the sanctions in the world on the market (Not on the company) it has zero effect on the performance of the company itself. Except the company derives its revenues from the market.

The stock prices may crash but the returns will still be attractive. Let the biggest bear come to the market and drive the stocks down to the ground. By the time a N1 stock declares a N1 dividend, no sanction on earth can stop the flow of money into that market.

The only time people should worry about the market is when previously profitable companies start declaring losses or significantly reduced revenues enmass. For now, JP Morgan index is pure cosmetics to make the market look good.

Upon all the sanctions, major oil companies are falling over themselves to break into Russian, Iran and Iraqi markets. Abegii!!!

Personal ke? Well, let them bring it on. Their selfish interest in terms of devaluation will never be meant. They should go and check the record of Pa Buhari when it comes to devaluation of Nigeria currency. They better aligned with his presidency or ... grin

Make Pa Buhari no kill market sha... na that one concern me...

There will be outflows from the bond market, prices will drop, and yields will increase...so its kindda the reverse

For clarity sake "i shared the information so that we could all analyse what it potentially means for the equity market..." but there's so much negative energy around here!

Why will he kill the market momentum when he got some stocks too. I'm very confidence with our current President, he will change the tides of Nigeria for BEST. My own Octopus keep telling me we are making money this year. Dr. Agba has already pocket 40% on UBA alone without factoring some dividends he had received and in his confer!

Lol. The negative energy is expected na. School fees and House rents are in the market, so...

From my view, the equities market in Nigeria is largely driven by Sentiments and Perception. Fundamentals is rarely being used by most traders viz a viz speculators.. I won't be surprised if the bourse looses tomorrow and some days more, then starts rallying because of low price and nothing more

What are your expectations jare?

They think Pa Buhari Presidency can be threaten when compare with the former. Anyway, i really love the response, JPM take your Index and Nigeria will be. They will surely come back for us. Sir, these people can't do without Nigeria. They can't be making decision for us as a country in order to take advantage of our emerging market. I like that 'shove it up your a**'...lol

Interesting times ahead. I can't wait to see how this all plays out especially from the FX perspective.

If this leads to another bear run in the markets, I Will be waiting for Flourmills at a sub N20 price level. grin grin grin

I expect a Naira appreciation tomorrow or by the end of this week.

CBN just solidify its stand on stable and appreciated Naira. I pray this new style of communication becomes the new standard on how we drive home the point to foreign countries and investors; that we will not be coerce to take decisions that'll continue to regress our economy.

You've just said the crux of the matter.

We humans source information and process it for our benefits and that of our loved ones.

Every investor primary aim is to make money and more money so nobody is taking advantage of anybody.

It's only a tree that hears it will be cut down and still stand.

On a last note our prayer point should be "May God not allow us to be at the receiving end" AMEN!
