Nathan Ake Club: Watford Nationality : Dutch Age: 20 Market Value: £1.5m Prospects of making it: Highly rated, his contract runs until 2020 and he will fancy his chances of staying at Chelsea next season if he succeeds at Watford. Bekanty Victorien Angban Club: Sint-Truidense (Belgium) Nationality: Ivorian Age: 18 Market Value: N/A Prospects of making it: An attacking midfielder with international experience at Under 20 and Under 17 level, he is a long way from playing for the Chelsea first team. Christian Atsu Club: Bournemouth Nationality: Ghanaian Age: 23 Market Value : £3.5m Prospects of making it: Arrived with a considerable reputation from Porto in 2013 but flopped on loan at Everton last season. Unlikely to become a Blues star. GETTY PRINCE OF THE PALACE: Bamford is at Selhurst Park Lewis Baker Club: Vitesse Arnhem (Holland) Nationality : English Age: 20 Market Value: £350,000 Prospects of making it: After loan spells at MK Dons and Sheffield Wednesday, Baker is now trying his luck in the Eredivisie. Contracted until 2019 and young enough to harbour hopes of stepping up if he succeeds abroad. Patrick Bamford Club: Crystal Palace Nationality: English Age: 22 Market Value : £3.5m Prospects of making it: Fantastic on loan at Middlesbrough last season, he is experiencing top flight action at Palace this season. Still unlikely to cut it under Jose Mourinho though. Jeremie Boga Club: Rennes (France) Nationality : French Age : 18 Market Value : N/A Prospects of making it : With Chelsea from a young age, he has represented France up to Under 19 level. A skilful attacking midfielder, he has a good chance to extend his deal beyond 2017, when it currently expires. Isaiah Brown Club: Vitesse Arnhem (Holland) Nationality : English Age: 18 Market Value : £350,000 Prospects of making it: An exciting prospect, Brown was captain as the Blues won the UEFA Youth League this year, scoring twice in the final. Only 18, he is one of the most likely loanees to become a Chelsea regular. Nathaniel Chalobah Club: Napoli (Italy) Nationality : English Age : 20 Market Value : £2.8m Prospects of making it : A series of Championship loan spells have seen Chalobah’s reputation steadily improve. If he succeeds at Napoli, he’ll have a great chance of playing under Mourinho next year. Andreas Christensen Club : Borussia Monchengladbach (Germany) Nationality : Danish Age : 19 Market Value: £1.05m Prospects of making it : A promising defender, Christensen will take on Manchester City, Juventus and Sevilla in the Champions League this year. A good long-term prospect for the Blues. Juan Cuadrado Club : Juventus (Italy) Nationality : Colombian Age : 27 Market Value : £21m Prospects of making it : The biggest name out on loan, Cuadrado is a proven international performer. Failed to impress in his six months since joining Fiorentina, a good year with the Italian champions could see him return. Cristian Cuevas Club : Sint-Truidense (Belgium) Nationality : Chilean Age: 20 Market Value : £1.05m Prospects of making it : A Chilean youth star, he has failed to flourish in loan stints in Holland and his home country. Likely to be sold on before his contract ends in 2018. Alex Davey Club : Peterborough Nationality : Scottish Age: 20 Market Value : N/A Prospects of making it : In League One until January, the defender spent much of last season at Scunthorpe. Contract expires next summer and unlikely to stay on. Ulises Davila Club : Vitoria (Portugal) Nationality : Mexican Age: 24 Market Value : £525,000 Prospects of making it : Became a key man for Vitoria on loan last season and has stayed on again, but lacks the quality to be a Chelsea regular. Expect to be sold next summer. Matej Delac Club : FK Sarajevo (Bosnia) Nationality : Croatian Age: 23 Market Value : £525,000 Prospects of making it : Still young for a goalkeeper, Delac will hope to cut it at the top level, but that’s unlikely to be at Chelsea with Thibaut Courtois and Asmir Begovic far from the end of their careers. Islam Feruz Club : Hibernians (Scotland) Nationality : Scottish Age : 19 Market Value : £350,000 Prospects of making it : The Somalian-born Scotsman previously played for Celtic. Smally and pacy, he has starred for Scotland’s youth side but it will be a big ask for him to progress at Chelsea. Michael Hector Club : Reading Nationality : Jamaican Age : 23 Market Value : £525,000 Prospects of making it : A deadline day arrival from Reading, he was immediately loaned back there. An international star for Jamaica, but likely to be sold on for a profit. Jordan Houghton Club : Gillingham Nationality : English Age : 19 Market Value : N/A Prospects of making it : With the club since Under 8 level, Houghton has potential and has represented England Under 20s. A defensive midfielder, he has the potential to improve and make the grade. Tomas Kalas Club : Middlesbrough Nationality: Czech Age: 22 Market Value : £2.45m Prospects of making it : After loan spells in Holland and Germany, Kalas did well at Boro last season and will hope to kick on this year. Still more likely to be sold for profit than oust Kurt Zouma or Gary Cahill from the first team though. Todd Kane Club : NEC Nijmegen (Holland) Nationality : English Age : 21 Market Value : £525,000 Prospects of making it: A serial loan star, Kane has gone abroad for the first time after spells at Nottingham Forest, Bristol City, Blackburn and Preston. With the club since he was seven, he has potential but is unlikely to be Chelsea quality. Marko Marin Club : Trabzonspor (Turkey) Nationality: German Age: 26 Market Value : £1.75m Prospects of making it : Expected to figure in the Chelsea team when signed from Werder Bremen in 2012, Marin failed to shine and it’s surprising he is still on the club’s books. Will almost certainly leave next year. Victor Moses Club : West Ham Nationality : Nigerian Age: 24 Market Value : £5.25m Prospects of making it : Flopped at Liverpool , shone at Stoke and now at West Ham. Signed a new deal until 2019 before he was sent on his latest loan mission but still more likely to be sold than to stay on next year. Nathan Club : Vitesse Arnhem (Holland) Nationality : Brazilian Age: 19 Market Value : £2.1m Prospects of making it : There are high hopes for this attacking midfielder who signed from Atletico Paranaense this summer. Expected to impress in Holland and return to west London next year. Kenneth Omeruo Club : Kasimpasa (Turkey) Nationality : Nigerian Age: 21 Market Value : £700,000 Prospects of making it : A tall, fast centre-back, you would think Mourinho would have kept him at Stamford Bridge this season if he felt he could make the grade. Has previously played on loan in Holland and the Championship. Danilo Pantic Club : Vitesse Arnhem (Holland) Nationality : Serbian Age: 18 Market Value: £700,000 Prospects of making it : An arrival from Partizan Belgrade this year, the midfield star is highly rated and has every chance of becoming a future regular. Mario Pasalic Club : Monaco (France) Nationality : Croatian Age: 20 Market Value : £2.8m Prospects of making it : Used as a makeweight in the deal that brought Radamel Falcao to Chelsea, Pasalic is a useful midfielder who can harbour realistic hopes of making it in the Premier League if he succeeds in Ligue 1 this year. Stipe Perica Club : Udinese (Italy) Nationality : Croatian Age: 20 Market Value : £630,000 Prospects of making it : The young striker will hope to play a bigger role in Serie A this season as he enters the final year of an 18-month loan. Must improve a lot to make it at Chelsea though. Lucas Piazon Club : Reading Nationality : Brazilian Age: 21 Market Value : £2.1m Prospects of making it : Signed by Chelsea in January 2012, he has picked up loan experience in Spain, Holland and Germany. Now in the Championship, he is likely to be sold next summer. Joao Rodriguez Club : Sint-Truidense (Belgium) Nationality : Colombian Age: 19 Market Value : £105,000 Prospects of making it : The young forward is in a sixth loan spell since arriving in 2013. Has found regular football hard to come by so unlikely to become a mainstay at Chelsea. Mohamed Salah Club : Roma (Italy) Nationality : Egyptian Age : 23 Market Value : £12.6m Prospects of making it : An undoubted talent, Salah shone at Fiorentina last season and was a true star in his Basle days. Mourinho is clearly not a fan but if the Portuguese ever leaves, he could be a key man at the Bridge. Dominic Solanke Club : Vitesse Arnhem (Holland) Nationality : English Age: 17 Market Value : £175,000 Prospects of making it : One of the Chelsea academy’s finest products, the 17-year-old will hope to shine in his first spell away from west London this season. Definitely one for the future. Marco van Ginkel Club : Stoke Nationality : Dutch Age : 22 Market Value: £5.25m Prospects of making it : Spent last year on loan at AC Milan. A solid midfielder, a good season at Stoke could yet see him given a chance in west London. Wallace Club : Carpi (Italy) Nationality : Brazilian Age: 21 Market Value : £1.4m Prospects of making it : After spells at Inter Milan and Vitesse, the exciting full-back has the talent to succeed with Serie A new boys Carpi and return to challenge Branislav Ivanovic next season. |

Rooney and Bobby Charlton in same breath? Fat chap with just six goals in all major tournaments he's graced getting hailed as king across England? This is the juxtaposition of a mediocre dinning in the table of greats! 5 Likes |

Alot of people be forgetting the Rooney of Old just because he is having a bad season presently. . He deserves every bit of accolades he is getting right now. AirborneLacer: Did you see Bobby Charlon play full games as much as you have seen Rooney? O boy live in your time and judge what you have seen in your life time. The same stories you have read and the goals highlights you may have seen about Bobby Charlton will be read by a kid in the future and he will have no doubt that Rooney is greatest like you're currently doing with Bobby Charlton. Rooney will be Out and Out Record goal scorer for England. He is also currently on the path to being Out and Out all time goal score for Man UTD. Man UTD oooo, not just any club and you dare say he shouldnt be mentioned in the same breath .. . Gbagbe osi. 8 Likes |

Hazard was regarded as the worst by his manager yet he scored the only goal and 3 points, can all these guys, especially Raumdeuter now see that, being a good player isn't about scoring goals alone... Cos y'all keep whining about what his manager said, at least he scored the only goal which wasn't a PK ds tym and gave the team 3 good points to help them qualify yet he was regarded as the worst. |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by raumdeuter: 2:19pm On Sep 09, 2015 |
Nihilist: Rooney is a mediocre striker. And I saw Rooney right from his debut till now Maybe in the English posse of no talent he might be counted as decent but when we are talking about strikers globally. Rooney is a poor imitation. I didnt see Bobby Charlton he was probably another mediocre forward too thats just hyped by a country who desperately needs someone to celebrate He scored his only world cup goal after 3 attempts. 6 tournament goals . Nigga please!!! |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by grinface98(m): 3:09pm On Sep 09, 2015 |
raumdeuter:English players are way too overhyped. Rooney is a decent all-round foward at best. Imagine calling him a legend. How many goals at major tournaments? He always disappears in big clashes. Excellent players always show up and make one or two impacts in big matches at major tournaments. Rooney is only woshiped because he's a decent player surrounded by mediocre team mates |
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by grinface98(m): 3:40pm On Sep 09, 2015 |
A40:You definitely ain't a football fan. You need to start watching Hockey. Marc wilmots only critisized him bcoz he had a bad match not bcoz he is a bad player. Coaches use that tactic to encourage and put their best players on their toes often times. Why didn't he critisize the others? Were they any good? He singled Eden out bcoz he knows he definitely can do much more than that. Jose Mourinho employed the same tactic after the match against Athletico at the Bridge in Mourinho's first season back in charge. Hazard obliged, and ran his fat ass off in the remaining games. And about him not scoring enough goals, he had a better goals/assists record than the Almighty Ronaldo in his first two seasons in England. Critisize him at your own peril. He was the best in England last year for a reason. Watch out for the real Eden Hazard from Saturday onwards. You'll be wowed! I rest my case here 2 Likes |
