good day good people, Please i have an issue. I had my interview 13th August and up till now i have not heard from the Embassy. I had funded the account before the interview and even submitted the email sent to me by the bank to the interviewer. two days ago i had written them and today they told me that they are waiting for the alien authority consent. Please what do you advice, my school will be starting October

Which City are you heading to Oga??

Its always helpful if you guys can always expanciate more on your request. you want us to advice you, how??

So far so good, I know some couple of guys who called their respective alien office to know their visa status after 4-5 wks of interview. trust me after contacting them, they received the expected emails from the embassy after 5-48hrs of contacting the Alien office. But as it stands, you are still fine cos your interview is NOT up to 4 weeks yet. stay calm and relax your nerve man. you are still within range and no cause for alarm.

Regards !

Hello house, which bank nd branch is suitable for block account fund transfer in Ibadan, Oyo state.

I heard fidelity and Union are good but Union's charges are a bit on the high side. I just paid my semester fee today @ UBA, I'll inform u on the rates and charges once I get debited.
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by acedboss(m): 9:22pm On Sep 09, 2015
As per courier services, I went to a TNT office to make enquiries about their fees for sending documents to Germany and how long delivery takes. they charge less than 8k and they assured me that the documents will get to Germany in 3 working days. So I believe that's an option people who wanna send documents to Germany and other destinations outside Nigeria can consider.

Meanwhile I wanna send another set of blocked account opening forms to DB tomorrow via TNT, anyone in Ibadan who wants to send blocked account forms to DB can holla and we'll send the forms as one package and split the bill.

Hmmmm.... so nobody is going to Cologne ba?? Hian! Na so so Team Bremen, Team Kiel and the numerous Bavarians in different cities full here....There is God oooooo

Guten tag to all d men them in d haus, I av a really down spirit writing on ere today, was at d consulate earlier today as I was told to come frm d mail I got last wk. I thot I was goin to write a test as d V/O had told me last wk when I had my interview, but to my dismay I was handed a refusal letter with d reason for not having sincere intentions but I can appeal it. And on the letter I was addressed as mrs as to d mr in my form and on my passport and other documents. Now I need your advise as to what to do and how best to channel my appeal. Waiting in anticipation
Leo 2314, sorry for the rejection letter, i hope it doesnt happen to anybody here.
the reason why some of us insist that everybody should start reading from page 0 is not because we want to give the person wahala but every situation one is passing through has been dealt with in one way or the other, hence the person will have an option of tackling his issue(s) from different angles. it took me more than a month to read the first part 480 pages and whole of the second part.
Anyways the harm has been done by the embassy appeal in a PDF format one Lacuna did same.

Travel / Re: German Embassy And Visa by lacuna(m): 12:13pm On Aug 09, 2014
............Took my laptop, went into my mental archives,in the end i came out with a strong, profound and agreeable appeal. For the first time in a long time,i agreed with my own piece. Satisfied,i sent it to the consulate. In less than an hour,i got a reply from them stating that my application could not be honoured because it was not signed and all appeal letters are to be in PDF. I quickly made the necessary adjustments, scanned, converted from word to PDF and sent. Again, In less than an hour,i got a response. Two things excited me about the response; its promptness and the fact that the appeal was accepted.

The undersigned( i will talk about her in my subsequent updates) said my appeal had been considered and therefore she was willing to offer me another opportunity to clarify all doubts concerning my plan to study in Germany. She gave me two dates, july 14 or 21 at 10am and requested that i choose any of those dates. I responded by opting for the first date but requested to be interviewed by 7am. This was to allow me time to quickly dash to work after the interview. After about twenty minutes, she mailed back saying, it had to be 10am and then advised that i choose 21st if 14th wasn't convenient. I was never willing to wait another week,i wanted another opportunity to clear whatever mess i had created during the first interview so i quickly confirmed the first date at 10am............

.........I wish to quickly address the concerns that have been raised about my first interview; why i said it was bad, what made it bad and what was responsible for the initial outcome which necessitated an appeal. My first interview was bad basically because i buckled under the threat of the Old Lady. I allowed her unfriendly mien and harsh disposition get at me. I was befuddled at her aggressive nature, i allowed it affect my composure and performance. This adversely affected my performance. I lost composure and couldn't answer basic questions regarding Germany and my course of study. Also, I think i was over confident. I am reputed at doing well at oral interviews and general presentations and i apparently allowed that becloud my sense of modesty but unlike others, this was a different ball game as i clearly missed essential details which could have enhanced my assessment by the Visa Officer. Hope someone here can borrow a leaf from that. READ! READ!! READ!!!...........

@honourableseyi I really appreciate your prompt advise, but the vo didn't ave any issues with my conduct during d interview I can only recall dat e ask'd hu my sponsor is and I told him he's my big bro, then e ask'd if I won't follow suit of gettin to germany and afta sch get maryd to a german lady. Also as regards d issue of time, d guy dat went in afta me didn't use more than 10mins wit d vo I guez e rushed thru d interview wit him. And as for d appeal, do I get d services of a lawyer or go thru with it myself? And lastly we were 4 dat was denied today and all 4 ar using a sponsor letter and not a blocked acct, does dis av any relation to our bn refused visa? Need ur views ASAP! sad

I have never made findings on appeal stuff before; hence I can't really say much about it. But one thing I know is that, it is doable and achievable if there is a will. You don't need a lawyer or better still, those that have passed through it on this thread as far as I know don't use lawyer but they did it themselves coupled with the advise gotten on this thread and grace of God. Just write the appeal letter in a PDF format. You can also PM seek4yemi too to put you through, search the thread and PM those that have gone through the process to get a head up from them. If the VO has issues with you during the interview, he will not make it known to you. I guess they look at so many criteria. Your big brother who is sponsoring you, did he marry German after getting to Germany? May be they are just trying to link the last year language course with the record of your sponsor or something. May be the sponsor letter or the sponsor himself has K leg going by the way the VO sound that "hope you won't follow suit" . Best of luck and shalom

Congrats bro! Go and succeed... I think Bremen got more Nigerian students than any other city... Na military recruitment dey happen for that side? Ahhan!
yes I think that Bremen has more students from Nigeria because Bremen has 3 notable universities e.g University of Bremen which is the biggest university in Northern Germany, university of applied science and Jacob university and their application process is not through uni-assist.

LMU and TUM combined are bigger than these schools in total so is also the number of English taught programme. #checked

Berlin
Humboldt University, Freie University Berlin, TU Berlin, HTW Berlin, HWR Berlin, ASH Berlin, Berlin University of the Arts, BHT Berlin. #DoubleChecked

And we don't have an association of students from these cities in our winter 2015 BRT buses. Merkel should come and intervene in this matter.

University of Bremen is not the biggest University in northern Germany. It is not even the most prestigious.

The biggest and most prestigious University in northern Germany is University of goettingen by a distance.

Like eke rightly said, University of Bremen has a huge selection of English taught courses when compared to other German schools, so that contributes in no small way to the large number of compatriots heading to the Hanseatic city state

Hi guys ,
Thanks to all that congratulated me yesterday on my visa approval. My guy @ kelvinpam, I see you...we are entering Siegen together this winter by the special grace of God.
Must I travel on the day I put in my health insurance as travelling date cos my lecture starts on October 19 and I had already enrolled so no need to rush...i still want to see my beautiful wife face for the mean time before I travel (lols)
I am also a little confused about which airline to book from considering safety and cost
I know Royal Air Maroc is the cheapest but I don't know while so many people are not interested in flying with it....is it not safe? How good is the quality of their service?
Which is the best option among Etihad($568.80),Qatar Airways(562.95),Emirates (596.70),Turkish Airline($612)
While are so many people booking Turkish despite the fact that it is on the high price side?I will appreciate a timely response from you guys as I head to IGI for my health insurance

@Ahbbiey

Do you think being big is based on students population alone?

University of goettingen has the largest aggregation of research institutes in the whole of Western and Northern Germany, has the highest number of Nobel laureates, has the biggest budget, and hence .... Way way bigger and much more prestigious than University of Hamburg. University of Hamburg does not even come close in terms of rankings.

Prior to the Holocaust and world war 2, goettingen is the seat of Science in the whole world ..... Check your facts well and come back to admit you're wrong grin grin grin

Sorry not backing down.

I never said in my post being the 'biggest' was related to the number or students or the physical capacity of the campus.

Besides Goettingen has a larger student population.

Please read well before you misquote me.

It is also not about the number of institutes or noble laureates or budget size.

More prestigious than Uni Hamburg? We are not debating prestigious-ness.

Yes Göttingen has its perks no doubt about that but it isn't the largest research institute in Northern Germany.

Fact is Universität Hamburg is the biggest education and research institute in Northern Germany, you can go check your facts.

Goettingen does not have a larger students population .
I've checked my facts and I don't see how University of Hamburg is bigger than GAU in education/research .
The indices I listed has not been discounted yet

Larger number of research centers
More Nobel laureates affiliations
Higher budget
More prestigious
Richer history
Better ranked
Better known internationally

Those facts are verifiable, but you just came up with a fictitious assertion that you can't even defend....

Okay sorry, I forgot you're heading to University of Hamburg, hence the bias is understandable cool cool cool

It's hard to see links comparing the two Universities, but you can do a background check on the two schools and come back here to drop your findings.
