Buhari Has No Moral Right To Probe Anybody Or Any Institution. by Nobody: 11:09am On Sep 10, 2015
Buhari was invited to appear before a Senate committee back in 1980 to account for his administration of the newly created ministry of Petroluem which he chaired. There were allegations of $4bn missing from the coffers of the NNPC and the committee could not reach a conclusion owing to the failure of former head of state Obasanjo and his minister of Petroluem honoring the invitation.

Shagari's regime was ridiculed by the SW press for not taking a concrete step in ensuring that the duo of Obasanjo and Buhari be made to account for every penny accrued from oil sales under their administration. This will later come back to haunt the Shagari regime as one condoning corruption - enough reason for the hypocrite Buhari to stage a coup and seize power for himself.

After assuming supreme command of the polity, Buhari will later enact the controversial decree 4 ,which happens to be the most repressive law passed in Nigerian legal history. Decree 4 was specifically drafted and passed to stop any press release that will link him to the missing $4bn.

Fast forward to 1999, and Buhari again refused to honor an invitation by the Justice Oputa led Truth and reconciliation panel where serious allegations of human rights abuse during his 20mth despotic regime was being tabled.

The Obasanjo democratic administration also set up a board of inquiry into the affairs of several govt MDAs during the Abacha era including the PTF which Buhari chaired. Buhari still refused to appear before this panel as well.

This same Buhari other than having self allocated impunity and immunity from investigation over the years also has a warped sense of justice. For how can we explain why up till today, Buhari still considers Abacha as not Koworpt despite the continious repatriation of Abacha loot back to Nigeria from abroad?

This same hypocrite also told us that; "a fight against Boko Haram is a fight against the north" and also that the issue of insurgency in the northeast can be traced to the Niger Delta struggle for resource control.

This is evidence enough to show that Buhari is a hypocrite as well as one with a flawed understanding of what justice is.

All this history and grammar just to make a point that Buhari should not probe corrupt public office holders? For your information, if you don't know, Buhari is the President and Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of Nigeria and he has the power and authority to probe anyone he wants to probe. You are free to wait for those with moral right to probe corrupt people to come and do so while Buhari is free to use his legitimate power to probe them.

Buhari can setup any probe panel he wants that is his prerogative.

My point is that the prober is a hypocrite who over the years has refused to clear his own name .

My point is that your point is irrelevant as it won't stop any probe Buhari wants to institute. The power is in his hands.

The constitution does not require moral right, the law recognizes EFCC, DSS, Police and ICPC to probe any and everyone and that is what they have been doing.

We know corruption will fight back in various forms but like PMB said, if we don't kill corruption, corruption will kill us. Since we non wan die, we had better kill the enemy called corruption.

I think Buahri isn't the one conducting the anti corrupton war, its the anti-graft agencies.

But to what end? Do you mean that anti-corruption war be put on hold?

Your believe that Buhari is corrupt won't stop Buhari from being the President and commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria and it also won't stop his probe of corrupt public office holders.

Re: Buhari Has No Moral Right To Probe Anybody Or Any Institution. by Whynotthetruth(m): 5:28pm On Sep 10, 2015
Truth is Op maybe a controversial personality but there's great sense and truth in all he says/writes...unfortunately, Nigerians accept truth and opinions only when it has passed two tests of; Religion and Ethnicity.

Back to topic; Buhari like Obj see themselves as omniscient... and sees others as inferior both in status and wisdom or sense or knowledge... He was never active in any state function or progressive activity to aid humanity except for religious or ethnic issues...It is this fact that fed my stance on him and my signature... wink

Karma and whatever bad thing you can think of can catch only the thieving public office holders who you don't want buhari to probe. God willing, Buhari is going after the thieves and there'll be no hiding place for them.
