I don't get you. the quality of positions Rooney scored against are as the same if not better than the ones Ronaldo scored against. It took Rooney 13 years, same period it took Ronaldo.

Rooney scored only 6 goals from set plays. So what is the issue about? Ronaldo and Messi have been set play takers for their national teams for almost the beginning. Rooney doesn't even take free kicks till now. Only started taking penalties a year ago.

City already had a better squad than Manyoo...then they went to splash another 145m this summer.
