Ronaldo a winger. Rooney has also played in the wing and mostly as attacking midfielder.

he has never done that for england in the world cup. he always played as a striker.

Was James Rodriquez a striker in the world cup? Was Sneidjer a striker in the world cup. So we excuse for Ronaldo who had a free role. In last world cup Ronaldo was mostly in the middle. I can count many wingers who have more than three world cup goals from two world cups but Ronaldo has 3 . From Midfield, Gerald, Viera and Schwesteiger scored two goals in world cup 2006. They must be better than Ronaldo. And Ronaldo in last world cup was more in the center forward zone.

this is a lie....
ronaldo never played in the middle for portugal at the world cup. almeida, postiga and eder all started as their main striker with ronaldo/nani occupying the wings. james rodriguez played in the hole just behind guitterez for colombia. a number-10 who has a good shot on him will score goals. ronaldo will find it extremely hard to score from a wide position unlike players who mostly operate in a central position. football is not math.....as you can see, you could only name players who mostly play in central positions.

Lies upon lies. How did Rooney ruined world cup for England?
2014 Rooney had a hand in their only two goals. Did not play as a striker but in the wing and as Attacking Midfielder.

it was because of rooney's poor form that made roy hodgson relegate him to the wing in the first place.
by then, half of britain didn't even want him in the starting XI. how can a striker that earns a staggering
£300k/week get upstaged by a rookie known as sterling? of course, rooney's poor form meant england were
doomed from the outset. as at 2014, Liverpool(the parent club of sturridge/sterling) hadn't even played in
the champions league for aeons.

Rooney scored against Uruguay, a draw that should have put them at an advantage to qualify with a weak team left to play in the final group match. As England pressed Gerald gifted Suarez a free back pass to score one vs one against Hart.

england lost against italy.
why is that information missing in your diatribe? balotelli - a bench player for liverpool scored and
mr rooney fluffed his lines again in a big game. costa rica that you deemed as the weakest team topped the
group with 7 points. it appears you don't actually remember what happened in that group.

See yiur lies?
2012 and 2010 England were poor.
If not for Rooney, England wouldn't qualify for world cup 2010 and 2014. Also Euro 2012. His goals and Assists ensured the qualifications.

england weren't poor in 2010 and 2012. rooney's poor form was the koko.
rooney had scored 34 goals that season for man utd and everyone thought england's golden era
was before us until fat rooney ruined it for hi country again. england was booed in virtually all
the games they played in the group. they couldn't even beat algeria in 2010 world cup and they
got quartered by germany's under-21 boys.

The only qualifier Rooney was injured, England couldn't qualify. Without Rooney, England couldn't get a common draw against Croatia in Wembley to qualify for Euro 2008

lies upon lies.-
rooney played the qualifiers of euro 2008. he played in russia and england lost.
rooney played in israel and england couldn't even score. rooney played in croatia and
england lost. rooney also started against macedonia at wembley in another goalless draw.
so how can you say rooney's injury in the last game against croatia in wembley was the reason england did
not qualify?

abeg......england didn't qualify cos rooney is shyte!

Pataki:

Keep gloating! I don't blawdy care where DDG ends up. grin End of last season, even with DDG, you still ended up 4th on the table. So who really cares? cheesy cool

Shekpe fans were making fun of our lovely and gallant Petr Cech, with knowledge that they had Courtois. Courtois today is sidelined with a two months knee injury. grin Nothing in football is stable or permanent especially with Goalkeepers. Lets see if RM will still not come for DDG next year. cool

so you don't care? grin cheesy grin
who wrote these things?

Pataki:

#DeGeaMustGo Skysports is reporting that manure and Real are in discussion right now.
Fingers crossed for good news!

Pataki:
He has been manure's best player for two seasons in a row. I love seeing our top contenders weak, and he singlehandedly saved manure last season. Time to let him go back to his home country. He does not want to play for ManU any longer.

Pataki:

Next year DDG is a free bird. ManU do not need to reply RM.

Pataki:

Show me a NL rule that forbids me from posting anywhere on this board? If my post bothers you, na your headache guy. wink

I was honestly shocked that deal did not go through. I am not hiding the fact that I wanted DDG out of ManU as I strongly believe he is the strongest link in your team. Every EPL team especially the top teams are looking for the weakest link in their opponents.

That said, DDG staying in ManU is equally unsettling for your team. How DDG moves on now with his career depends on how LvG handles it. So far, LvG does not have an outstanding record with GKs from teams he has managed.

Pataki:

You are a professional salesman. DDG is unsettled and wants to leave. RM want their boy and the last has not been heard about this matter.

Both RM and ManU are planning to make an appeal. So lets see how this story unfolds bit by bit....

Pataki:
If my sources are correct, seems Madrid and ManU have an agreement about De Gea.

What a bliss!

Pataki:

LOL! You have two weeks of rest. The mad people will be back to this thread. grin

My joy will be complete to see De Gea leave manure by tomorrow evening. If una like buy Ronaldo+Neymar by tomorrow. #DeGeaMustGo

i think you care about DDG even more than united fans. grin

Literally woke up to the news of DDG signing a new four year deal....

Wia is Elfenomeno1 and Pataki?? Has anyone noticed them at the wards of UCH yet?? tongue tongue

Heard one of dem had a near death experience after he heard the news as he took a dive off 3rd mainland bridge while the other one was only 20 seconds away from losing his sanity....

Doctors say their situations remain critical with their chances of survival synonymous to the chances of us finding a UCL trophy in Arsenal's trophy cabinet.

Plis my fellow MUFC fans, for those of us that care(i know i dont grin), lets try to remember them in our prayers....

I didn't even read. Go and pay your homage just like Messi did.

Without Rooney England wouldn't be in the world cup and Europe. They were eliminated the only one he was injured. His presence alone would have pushed Croatia back at Wembley.

I have no time for all these yeye back and forth argument anymore.

“Wayne Rooney is for me a once in a generation player. One of those special players, who is not comparable to any other,” Messi said. “There are many special players, but Rooney has exceptional quality and technical ability as well as being one of the strongest players I have faced with an exceptional work rate – there is nobody like him.”

- Messi.

How many players has Messi praised like this? Messi was the first footballer to say Rooney was HIGHLY underpaid as at 2010.

Mr Clement Njoku, I learnt you couldn't sleep on the night Rooney became all time top scorer for three lions. I was told how you lamented all through the night with the realization that Rooney took his place in history among the 43 footballers who have scored 50 international goals in history. Your mind skipped intermitedly in the shock that Rooney is now privileged in the eyes of the Royal family and FA. Something he will enjoy till he dies.

If not that the British people were celebrating the Queen's record reign, you wouldn't get pardoned or amnesty from your company CEO who vetoed the maximum sanction you earned from the gross mistake you made at work on Wednesday as you kept groaning in pains and lack of sleep from thought of Rooney breaking the record the previous night.

Mr Clement Njoku, I advise you for your own good and for the good of your health to let the pains go, swallow your pride and escape shame by porting to celebrating with Sir Wayne Rooney.

This is my final and last advise to you on the subject. Be guided.

rooney played in several qualifying games for euro 2008 where he was practically useless. teams like israel, macedonia, russia, etc sodomised rooney. had england won any of those games, they woulda qualified before the last game against croatia.

the only once in a generation player that has never been in the top 3 players in ballon d'or. even english players like owen and bobby charlton have made it. messi is extremely generous with his comments....I am sure he's laughing his arse off now. rooney? once in a generation player? there are thousands of players better than rooney.

How many players has Messi praised like this? Messi was the first footballer to say Rooney was HIGHLY underpaid as at 2010.

no one gives a damn about rooney on this island.
there are more pressing issues bothering britain now than a striker that took 13 years to score 50 goals for his country. the british public are starting to wake up that rooney is a failure when barney ronay(guardian sports pundit) revealed in his article that neymar wey don born yesterday has 46 goals in 67 games for brazil.

neymar is 23....had his debut for brazil in 2010 and he's only 4 goals behind rooney that had his england debut as far back as 2003. even a goat knows rooney's record is a disgrace.......and you actually think messi meant what he said about rooney being a once in a generation player? what should we say about neymar then? by the time neymar is 30, he would have scored around 100 goals for brazil.

once in a generation player? more like once in a generation fat greedy pig. grin

i'd rather celebrate neymar.
a 23 year old forward who has already scored 46 goals for brazil. he's 7 years younger than rooney and he's only 4 goals away from eclipsing rooney. neymar had his debut only 5 years ago. it means that youngster averages more than 9 international goals per year for brazil. what a glorious achievement! like i continue to tell you, i don't celebrate mediocrity like you do. my standard is way higher than yours. grin

23 years old is my man any day any time.

But he still has only 11 competitive goals. Something Rooney almost scored in one qualifier. Rooney scored 9 goals in 2010 world cup qualifiers.

35 of Neymar's 46 international goals have come in friendly matches.

Neymar hasn't played any qualifier tho'! Brazil had direct entry to 2014 worldcup and there was no qualifiers for Copa America
