Ogoni People Pledges Support For Biafra, Seeks Forgiveness From The Igbos. by Bialegend(m): 8:50pm On Sep 11, 2015 |
Ogoni people pledges support for Biafra, seeks forgiveness from the Igbos. Ogoni people pledges support for Biafra, seeks forgiveness from the Igbos By Tryano Tsunami I strongly believe that we the south-south people are indebted to the people of south-east (Igbos). We owe them love and support as long as this British zoo called Nigeria is concerned. First, we betrayed them during the civil war. A crucial moment that they trusted us most, but we supported the enemies because, we thought we were better off with the Gambari parasites, little did we know we were digging our grave. We watched the enemies (Gambaris) devoured our brothers, then we collected their properties on our land. I believe that was a mistake that has been forgiven by our kind brothers in the east, but we don’t need to make such mistake again, we must always stand on the same page with our Igbo brothers, no matter what. No doubt these Gambari parasites hate us the south-south people, but if they want to execute that hatred, they channel it to the Igbos because they don’t see any difference between the south-south and south-east. So why can’t we show our big brothers that have been receiving the Gambari spears for us, so much love? Apart from the physical violence they face on our behalf, the rest part of the country that never liked GEJ now transfer the hate to the Igbos, simply because they supported our son that they also see as their own. You can imagine Buhari managing to give 7 appointments to the south, 4 from south-west, 3 from south-south and none from south-east, this explains how our Igbo brothers are paying for loving us. I am from Ogoni in Rivers state, and my language is not in anyway related to Igbo language like some part of Rivers, but each time i put up a post that is not favourable to APC or Hausa/Fulanis, they just start attacking the Igbos, not minding that i am from Ogoni and not Igbo, that is the kind of thing i am talking about. It is a crime against ourselves to hate or betray the Igbos again. Each time i see or hear my people speak ill of the Igbos, i weep. It makes me feel we are still not wise to know our true brothers. https://www.ipobgovernment.org/ipob1/ogoni-people-pledges-support-for-biafra-seeks-forgiveness-from-the-igbos/ 6 Likes |

I don't understand the point of this apology. I don't believe that the Ogoni (collectively) have wronged the Igbo in any way that requires an apology. There was widespread support for Biafra in Ogoni land as was the case in most of the Eastern region. There were also some elements that didn't share the Biafran dream and saw the Federal occupiers as liberators. This was by no means restricted to Ogoni land. It is note worthy to mention here that the Ogoni 4 allegedly murdered at the orders of Saro-Wiwa represented the pro-Biafra group while Saro-Wiwa was ironically a "one" Nigerian. It is thought that long standing mutual animosity between Saro-Wiwa and this group (probably dating from the civil war days) ultimately resulted in the gruesome lynching of the pro- Biafrans. 1 Like |

Hmmmm.... You(ibos) are now united on a common ground which is hatred. Hatred for yourselves and hatred for your perceived enemies. Well you guys should know this; "Any unity build on hatred will always scatter/collapse like a pack of cards in the long-run". After you have do away or that your perceived enemy isn't around again, you will be left with only yourselves. And Before you know it, that hatred you harboured for your perceived enemies will suddenly be your companion, friend and a member of your family because it used to be the food you eat, the clothes you wear, the water you drink, the air you breath and everything you have built your lives on. P.S - only the wise will grab my message...... 6 Likes |

truefact:Olodo rapata... Nigeria was never united in the first place, we were just a nation built with bricks/blocks of understanding. But today, even the most die-hard fan of Biafra utopia-nation among you(biafra agitators) knows your unity today lies on the basis of the hatred you have for other Nigerians. |

Curlieweed: The vast majority of Ogonis supported the Biafran cause. In fact, one of the Ogoni 4 that were lynched was the official Biafran representative in London or Paris during the war. it was just that Ken Wiwa was a writer and as such was more of a noise maker on the pages of newspapers than most people that gave the impression, most Ogonis were one Nigeria supporters. KSW made himself an easy target. He was already so deep into the lion's mouth that by the time he realised what was happening, his fate was already sealed, and it was too late for him to retrace his steps backwards. The north and southwest used him devilishly to entrench a deep divide between the SS and SE, but once he broke out of that hypnotised state, they had to kill him. Abacha and Major Okuntimu had to lead the general intimidation of Ogonis, of course with the intention of ensuring that the other SS groups remain hypnotised. The ABANDONED PROPERTIES allocation was the benefit that those that submitted themselves to that general hypnosis got. KSW got his share of the properties. I believe he got a property owned by Chief Z. C. Obi (ichie Onunaekwuligbo, the father of sen. Onyeabo Obi). The point of the hypnosis was 1. To keep the SS and SE disunited, thus making the exploitation of oil by the north and sw, an easy task 7 Likes |

Bialegend: I do not know the depth of knowledge the writer of the above had about Biafra. Granted that not every Ogoni person supported the Biafran agenda, there were prominent Ogoni sons and daughters who rode high on Biafran issue. There were people like Dr. Ignatius Kogbara who was Biafran ambassador in London and Chief Kobani. 1 Like |

Duru1:So because it is said that Wole Soyinka supported Biafra, it there means that all yorrobers supported Biafra? In the case of Ogoni, we recognized that some of them were and are still for Biafra, but the message is targetting MOST of Ogonis during the civil war that sided the nigerian vandals and enabled them to wreck their evil havoc on Biafrans. 1 Like |
