Hello house, my doc are set to arrive on Thursday. Concerning the warmth issue, the room I'm using is already air tight, do I still need another source of heat for them? If yes, how much is too much? And when can I begin to let in some air? |

WhyNa: Air tight ke? The room doesn't have to be air tight...you still need some form of ventilation. However, you should make sure there isn't too muc air coming inside. Source of extra heat is non-negotiable. If you're in d North, you may not need that fduring the day but at night, you'll surely need extra heat, even in d north |

Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by WhyNa: 2:55pm On Sep 16, 2015 |
laposta: Hmmm. I kinda used nylon to cover the nets and blok any holes. So the air coming in is veeery minimal. I have also arranged for coal pots too. |

Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by mecuzee(m): 8:04pm On Sep 16, 2015 |
WhyNa: I made the same mistake. It shouldn't be airtight! Allow as much air as possible while maintaining a temperature of 33°C for the first week! Minimal airflow promotes diseases like CRD which may compromise the immunity of the birds... |
