Yes I am the one sponsoring but as it stands now I can't be able to print my statement of account as I am far from Nija and will not be coming back soon, Can she sponsor herself with her own statement of account |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by olokings(m): 3:50pm On Sep 13, 2015 |
Hi, In as much she can sponsor herself, I think it's a possibility for you to email your statement as a pdf file wch can be printed. .. All a plus. My take though allen0000: |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by Nobody: 9:17pm On Sep 13, 2015 |
jayjay4lyf: You have two options. You can notarise at a notary public immediately you get back into Naija, before baby is born and send to wifey to fill in the dates when baby is born. Or if you guys have enough time, you just wait till baby is born and go to the embassy/notary public. Yes, the embassy one is walk in, walk out. No biggie. Don't forget to book an appointment before going. Note that not all states accept the one done by notary public but all accept the embassy's. So check with the state your wife will be birthing in. |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by Nobody: 3:56pm On Sep 14, 2015 |
For those of us planning to go to el Paso for delivery and intend using Dr.martell,I called his office and the person I spoke with told me he no longer take patients from Nigeria.i asked why and was told 1 or 2 patients from Nigeria neglected his advice on doing some tests and all, hence made the whole process provoking. Why travel all the way from Nigeria to the USA to have better healthcare and wnt have the necessary done(Dr.martell's plight) So instead of having issues like that,he wnt be taking Nigerians again.he has 2 other doctors he has referred any interested patients to. I feel so gutted for a doctor to have such feelings toward Nigerians. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 2 by olokings(m): 4:21pm On Sep 14, 2015 |
Hmm... this is quite pitiful i must say. whilst i reserve my doubt of other underlying circumstances as to his conclusion on the matter, i'd say his logic is quite clear. we travel 11000km to acquire the blue pali and pay our hard earned box for good healthcare yet we still refuse to satisfy the basic requirements such as lil tests (which compared to the venture in totality is truly negligible in price). it could be discouraging from a perspective. trust me, if this trend continues, i won't be surprise if other physicians begin toeing his line of thought. anywho, hope he have a rethink because, boy is he in for loosing out on a large chunk of gold bars.. abiscomama: 2 Likes |

olokings: Not all ppl are after just the "gold bars", like u put it. Some Drs are really very conscientious. U know all strikes against drs in developed countries are registered n all adds up in his overall profile, unlike what prevails in 9ja. This keeps them on their toes, together with all the litigation. Thing is, as much as we want an affordable package, we shld plan to do the needful. I still find it ridiculous that despite a mama's story on the hearing test result of her baby, alotta ppl ere still deem it a wastage! You've travelled this far n spent so much energy n money, won't you rather do all necessary so u can get the best intervention if need be?? Like u rightly said, so many other Drs might start doing same thereby, making the whole journey more stressful. 6 Likes |

I actually find this strange. When I contacted Rodolfo earlier, he said Dr Martell was retiring, hence, he won't be taking any patient again. I actually find the excuse flimsy in my view, people have been rejecting some tests from time immemorial and he didn't stop taking us. I honestly don't think this response is correct. But we will know for sure if he really retires soon. abiscomama: |

FinanceFitness:The lady was right. Dr. Martel also told me the same thing. I bumped into him at the Labour and delivery ward and I accused him of rejecting Nigerians. He complained bitterly about us. In fact, I was so ashamed by the time he was done. How can a woman who is HIV positive reject a Csection? She insisted on having a vaginal delivery! !!! Doesn't such a person understand the implications of her actions. To me, that's sheer wickedness ! She wants to infect an innocent child. He told me so many gory tales of our people and insisted he wouldn't go back because he doesn't want to lose his medical licence yet. However, he had a couple of awesome patients too from Nigeria. Unfortunately, the bad ones outweighed the good ones. So so sad! 6 Likes |
