Early History of Lagos
Before the Portuguese name of Lagos had been adopted, Lagos' initial name was Eko which referred mainly to the Island. The first to settle in Eko were the Aworis. The Awori hunters and fishermen had originally come from Ile-Ife to the coast.[4] The name Eko comes either from the Yoruba "Oko" (cassava farm) or "Eko" (war camp).

Are Yeebos the only non-indigenes in Lagos? ? Igbo excesses are becoming too much. They dare not to try all these even in the SS, not to talk of the North. Yorubas are just too accommodating for their own good. Hausas, Ibibios, Edos and Deltans don't cause as much trouble as these troublemakers. The closest igboland to Lagos is in Agbor, Delta state. You people should realize you are far from home. Respect your hosts. You are not the only non-indigenes in Lagos. A word is enough.
I will nominate you as next oba of lagos, they keep shouting they want Biafra, wat you guys still doing in lagos, if non indigine try this rubbish in our land allah! Kamu! In aboki voice they never score free

Awolowo had vision and made the right decisions for future generations of Yoruba and we won't kow tow or apologise to the IBO's because of that. is it our fault that you fought a needless war and lost thereby necessitating your current political irrelevance and oblivion?

I categorically state it here that the Yoruba's have done no wrong to the ibos and we don't deserve the deep seated hate you have for us while you stay in our land. we won't accept it anymore, the fact that the OPC has not come out with a statement or taken action doesn't mean they don't knw what is going on.

Ibos should exercise serious restrain, please.

If Lagos Is your land then come out and send Emeka and Obinna to where U think they come from.

It Is a No man's land

IGBES are chestbeaters. When Hausa/Fulanis took a killing approach, they called them killers.

When Yorubas took a calmer approach, the cowards call Yorubas cowards.

Now Yorubas are taking the only approach IGBES know and they're chestbeating online.

Shut that stinking mouth of yours idiot.

Lagos state without Igbos ll be nothing despite the fact that the same Igbos' region is no go area to other Nigerians.

Lagos state without Igbos ll be nothing despite being a total failures in their own region.

Lagos state without Igbos ll be nothing despite the fact that Aba, Enugu, Onitsha etc are no go area for Nigerian industrialists.

Lagos state without Igbos ll be nothing despite the fact that the same Igbos run out of Lagos state to their region during 80s political riot and Lagos state was pretty doing fine without Igbos.

North without Igbos ll be nothing despite being killed in millions....

Igbos are freaking deluding themselves.

OH you are no more from Delta state..... because your house is on fire.... I told you, in the last civil war as small as Biafra was, was heading to Lagos until Nato and USA helped you greeds and stop Biafra Army at Ore, This Time we are already in Lagos, do you know there is IPOB in every ward in Lagos.... Yorubas are the one fighting Biafra not to go because of Our oil, that little thing you guys have gained from One Nigeria will be destroyed soon.... Igbos have seen war before and are ready for it anywhere.

Good to know, IPOB in every ward in Lagos. Fool, you know nothing about war. During the civil war, it was combat between Nigerian Army and the biafran rebels, ojukwu foolishly allowed igbo civilians to join the battle because of ego and fear of inevitable failure. Thank God most of our people are now fully awaken to the threat you are to our peaceful region, it won't be funny. Call us coward as much as you like but in event of war, we will protect our territory jealously. The Niger bridge will come down and there won't be escape route for your lots. So keep ready for the doom day, none of you will be spared. You cannot lord it on us, kii se eru yin. You want your Biafra face your masters that denied you. Yorubaland won't be the battle field.

MrOra:
1.Most people commenting here haven't even neared alaba the closest they've done is to go there buy something and leave. Please don't comment like you understand.
2. If yorubas and hausas hate/hated igbos so much why didn't they just let ojukwu and biafra be then? I'll never understand this because it's just sign of collective tyranny, I say collective because I have mostly yoruba friends and even though they always, always tease me about how useless igbos are, they still got my back in any fight. It seems like the hatred is perpetuated just because of pride, I AM YORUBA, THIS IS MY LAND. This is God's land please, the igbos aren't claiming it. I'm one of the people that find igbo political ambitions in Lagos stupid.
3. If you truly want people out, starring from alaba rago where hausa boys are collecting money from people to cross pako.
4. Don't you think it's really stupid to condemn xenophobic attacks in South Africa but support yoruba against igbo or vice versa or any other tribe in arms? Yorubas why didn't you support SA in those killings if you so much respect THIS IS OUR LAND.

I'm not judgemental, I hope I didn't sound judgemental. Most of the comments I saw here, same like I see everyday on NL brings tears to my eyes cause of the following reasons.
1. At this age, people with phones, knowledgeable, even religious people(Christians, Muslims, etc) , it's saddening that you can still support (no matter what side you're on) violence. Switch on your TV and go to CNN and see what war has done to families, even with these knowledge you still push for violence,... Oh.
2. My friends in school used to tease me a lot(I attended model college ojo, yea I used to live in alaba till recently), if you didn't asked for your change after buying something they'll yab you that igbo too like money, if nylon tear they'll say it's alaba fake igbotish rubbish, etc. I used to get bothered sometimes, my be cause I don't know who to get angry at, my friends or igbo people giving them reasons. Little did I know that I'm not igbo, long story short my dad is not my biological father,so those things they said we're in my blood cause I was igbo was just.... Irrelevant lies. These irrelevant lies we tell ourselves. Eg, igbos like money too much, brethren, think back to our past presidents, we're they corrupt? Oh the trillions they stole, how many were igbo? . People in 2015 shouldn't be swallowing these lies meant to create discord.

I went to unilorin for putme recently and I had to stay with a friend and he's grandparents at ogbomosho, nicest people on earth cause they respected me, tried to speak the little English they knew cause I've not fully learnt yoruba language. I can't wait to go back.

Take a cue from Hitler's Nazi and the Jews. It really doesn't help any side to quarrel.

GOD BLESS NIGERIA.

God bless you, bruv.
