Saudi Arabia Has 100,000 Empty Tents with AC for 3 Million People–They’ve Taken Zero Refugees
ByThe Free Thought Projecton September 10, 2015
Paul Joseph Watson | Infowars
While European countries are being lectured about their failure to take in enough refugees, Saudi Arabia – which has taken in precisely zero migrants – has 100,000 air conditioned tents that can house over 3 million people sitting empty.
The sprawling network of high quality tents are located in the city of Mina, spreading across a 20 square km valley, and are only used for 5 days of the year by Hajj pilgrims. As the websiteAmusing Planet reports, “For the rest of the year, Mina remains pretty much deserted.”
The tents, which measure 8 meters by 8 meters, were permanently constructed by the Saudi government in the 1990’s and were upgraded in 1997 to be fire proof. They are divided into camps which include kitchen and bathroom facilities.
The tents could provide shelter for almost all of the 4 million Syrian refugees that have been displaced by the country’s civil war, which was partly exacerbated by Saudi Arabia’s role infunding and armingjihadist groups.
However, as theWashington Post reports, wealthy Gulf Arab nations like Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and others have taken in precisely zero Syrian refugees. Although Saudi Arabia claims it has taken in 500,000 Syrians since 2011, rights groups point out that these people are not allowed to register as migrants. Many of them are also legal immigrants who moved there for work. In comparison, Lebanon has accepted 1.3 million refugees – more than a quarter of its population.
While it refuses to take in any more refugees, Saudi Arabia hasoffered to build 200 mosquesfor the 500,000 migrants a year expected to pour into Germany.
Saudis argue that the tents in Mina are needed to host the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, but given that the Arabic concept of Ummah is supposed to offer protection to all Muslims under one brotherhood, surely an alternative location could be found so that Mina can be repurposed to house desperate families fleeing war and ISIS persecution?
While Europe is being burdened by potentially millions of people who don’t share the same culture or religion as the host population, Gulf Arab states refuse to pull their weight, resolving only to throw money at the problem.
The likelihood of the Saudis inviting Syrian refugees to stay in Mina is virtually zero, but the thousands of empty tents serve as a physical representation of the hypocrisy shared by wealthy Gulf Arab states when it comes to helping with the crisis.

So what is the point in having to profess faith in a religion when you cannot abide by the tenets. The refugees are clearly in need.

They value religion more than human lives, they value the hajj or what ever that shiiit is called more than the lives of millions.

They have this much of well cozy tents and most refugees are sleeping outside in European countries.

Both Saudi and the God they profess are bitches!!!

Saudi cannot house people who may be terrorist.
They can only fund mosques in infidel countries to radicalise worshippers so that they kill infidels

Hmmmm

*arr Saudi Arabia - so let me get this straight.
1) For decades you have funded the *most radical*, *most literal* interpretation of Islam, known as Wahabiism - perhaps similar in its theocratic literalism to the Westboro Baptist Church, but much more deadly in the fact that it directly dictates the policy of an entire country.
2) This doctrine goes on to inspire Bin Laden, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, and most recently, Abu Bakr Al-Bagdadi and his little organization known as ISIS.
3) ISIS jumps into the chaos of the Syrian Civil War, begins taking sex slaves, murdering fellow muslims, setting the clock back over a thousand years for women and gays and religious minorities, and helping to cause one of the worst refugee crises of the modern era.
4) These refugees - in desperate need of food clothing and shelter - turn to the world for help to escape the crisis that *you* helped partially to create. The number of refugees you decide to take in - a big fat walloping *ZERO*. The reason? You fear - yes, this is not a joke - that "religious extremism" could enter your country.
5) These refugees find safe harbor in the evil, bigoted, imperalist, infidel West, most notably Germany, who *do*, however imperfectly, agree to help these refugees find food, clothing and shelter.
6) Rather than pledge safe harbor for these refugees - overwhelmingly Muslim like yourselves - you pledge *instead* to help them build - wait for it - more Mosques.

Wasn't it the existence of *too much* religious doctrine that helped create ISIS, at least 50% of the cause of this crisis? What could *possibly* make you think that *more* religion is what these starving and homeless refugees need, when it is indeed at least 50% *because of* religion that they are now homeless and starving?
What more can one say? The futility of theocracy is laid bare for the entire world to see. Even as a war caused partially by doctrine sends millions into homelessness, the theocrats show themselves far more concerned with doctrine than with starving and homeless human beings.

Saudi Arabia appears to be suffering from what I call "Mother Theresa Syndrome". Mother Theresa was known for her "homes for the dying." This turned Mother Theresa into an international celebrity and caused millions of dollars to pour into her organization. Further investigation proved that these Homes for the Dying could have instead become Homes for the Living if her organization had decided to spend that money on the routine western medical procedures that could've cured many of the dying, thousands of people who simply were too poor to have access to such medicine. Why do that, however, when you can use them as an opportunity to promote your particular doctrine worldwide?
People have often asked how people in the West and in the Middle East can win this war on terror - I am more convinced everyday that the new battle lines are not in Iraq and Syria, but in the European refugee camps. We often say that our system is better and more humane - it's time to prove it by treating these refugees with the care and dignity they deserve, things they simply do not receive anymore in their country of origin. How we treat these refugees is going to be the very thing that defeats groups like ISIS not just on the battlefield, but in the hearts and minds of Muslims worldwide. It's time to show that they can have a much better life among the Infidels than the Theocrats, and that when we in liberal western Democracies say we respect *all* people, and believe that *all* people are entitled to freedom, prosperity and basic human rights - we mean it.

That's not so good of you, I didn't know you respond like this man
Don't forget, in addition, almost a million Yemeni citizens given right of stay in Saudi. I was just responding to some of those perpetual complainers on their social media sites about this issue.
Tiny Lebanon has a population of 4million and is probably no larger than Lagos state, and yet has taken in more refugees than the whole of the EU nations put together... the US said they have taken 170, the UK say they will take 200; WOW! The loudmouth EU are just using those refugees for PR, while the Arab countries are helping them for the sake of Islam. That is why there is a difference in publicity. Recently, Saudi citizens have made a donation drive. They have garnered about a billion dollars so far, but they don't shout it from every rooftop.

S. Arabia is one of the countries funding ISIL together with Qatar and UAE so they should be at the forefront of the effort to alleviate the suffering of these people. Besides, the haj is not an all year activity so the facility can host some of the refugees without having much impact on lodging for haj guests.

*arr Saudi Arabia - so let me get this straight.

You can't get it straight because ya brain is twisted, you can't come up with something tangible from your head. All you know is copy and paste.

1) For decades you have funded the *most radical*, *most literal* interpretation of Islam, known as Wahabiism - perhaps similar in its theocratic literalism to the Westboro Baptist Church, but much more deadly in the fact that it directly dictates the policy of an entire country.

There's no such thing as Wahabi Islam, in fact no Muslim calls himself a Wahabi. I'll just use this term for the sake of this argument. Wahabi Islam has nothing to do with extremists and terrorists, the terrorists/extremists are called "Khawaarij". This sect consists of boko-are-rams, ISIS, Jahbatul Nusra, Al Shabab, Abu Sayyaf, etc.

2) This doctrine goes on to inspire Bin Laden, Ayman Al-Zawahiri, and most recently, Abu Bakr Al-Bagdadi and his little organization known as ISIS.

Like I said earlier, Wahabi Islam has nothing to do with this men. In fact when the World didn't about Bin Laden and his cohorts, Wahabi scholars have warned Muslims to stay away from them. This same Saudi Arabia revoked Bin Laden of his Saudi citizenship. Bin Laden and cohorts in return declared all Saudi rulers and Scholars apostates whose blood worth spilling and you seriously think Saudi Arabia is responsible for this man's ideology? I don't think so!

3) ISIS jumps into the chaos of the Syrian Civil War, begins taking sex slaves, murdering fellow muslims, setting the clock back over a thousand years for women and gays and religious minorities, and helping to cause one of the worst refugee crises of the modern era.

Like I said earlier, Wahabi Islam has nothing to do with ISIS. In fact Saudi Arabia has nothing to do with them, one of the greatest goals of ISIS is too conquer Makkah and Medinah(currently in Saudi), they want to do this because they don't consider Saudis Muslims. So for Saudi to support this group is like breeding a monster on your own doorstep!

Saudi has spent billions of dollars on refugees and they've accepted refugees right from 2011. Syrian refugees in Saudi aren't in camps in which restricts them, but they're allowed to roam freely and get free basic amenities. Saudi Arabian Foreign Affairs Ministry stated that they've accepted 2.5 million Syrians since 2011, but not as refugees in camps but as guests who enjoy like every other Saudi citizen.

5) These refugees find safe harbor in the evil, bigoted, imperalist, infidel West, most notably Germany, who *do*, however imperfectly, agree to help these refugees find food, clothing and shelter.

There's no need to be emotional about it, the Germans themselves aren't complaining so why would a Nigerian be sweating over something which doesn't concern his generation? Germans are happy and they accept them, moreover, other Muslim countries have accepted millions so no need to flex muscles!

6) Rather than pledge safe harbor for these refugees - overwhelmingly Muslim like yourselves - you pledge *instead* to help them build - wait for it - more Mosques.

The news of building mosques is unconfirmed, it was concocted by a Lebanese Arabic Newspaper paper known as "Ad-Diyah". No Saudi Arabian agency has confirmed it, so why can't we wait for them to do so before the we bash?

Wasn't it the existence of *too much* religious doctrine that helped create ISIS, at least 50% of the cause of this crisis?

The religious doctrine/ideologies is not of Saudi, in fact the scholars refuting ISIS are mostly Wahabi. Get that into your thick skull.

[s]What could *possibly* make you think that *more* religion is what these starving and homeless refugees need, when it is indeed at least 50% *because of* religion that they are now homeless and starving?
What more can one say? The futility of theocracy is laid bare for the entire world to see. Even as a war caused partially by doctrine sends millions into homelessness, the theocrats show themselves far more concerned with doctrine than with starving and homeless human beings.[/s]

The issue if building mosques is unconfirmed and the war in Syrian has no link to the Wahabi ideology.

[s]Saudi Arabia appears to be suffering from what I call "Mother Theresa Syndrome". Why do that, however, when you can use them as an opportunity to promote your particular doctrine worldwide?[/s]

Gibberish comparison!

We often say that our system is better and more humane - it's time to prove it by treating these refugees with the care and dignity they deserve, things they simply do not receive anymore in their country of origin. Yes, hajj tourist ( or pilgrims) are more important to the saudi authorities than the suffering syrian refugees they partially created. The saudis believe that taking in syrian refugees with have a negetive impact on this year's hajj tourism business. So the saudis are only making a wise business decision to protect their lucrative tourism industry packaged as a religious exercise.

To muslims, condemning saudi arabia is tantamount to condemning islam. To the muslims, saudi arabia can do no wrong, even when the saudis bomb yemen and partly financed the war in syria. The only country that is guilty, in islamic mind, is the united states.

On the contrary the US,UK and Israel are Saudi Arabia's leading allies. Ever wondered why the US didn't attack them even when 15 of the 19 alleged 9/11terrorist(I believe Israel connived with the US to do that) were from there. Why didn't the arab spring revolution in 2011 affect Middle East mornachs but secular govts like Libya, Egypt and Syria were removed.
