It was alleged that Stanbic Nigeria asked Stanbic South Africa to post some funds into their P & L to boost their position. Some shareholders discovered and reported them to Securities and Exchange Commission, CBN, Financial Reporting Council etc. Investigations are still on going. As a result SEC suspended their rights issue.

Though Stanbic Nigeria has denied doing such but FRC said their shareholders have a case. It is really an issue because they need proceeds from the right issue to do business and pay our salaries, if recruited.

Well I dunno how true this is but I wud say from my point of view as a current banker in the industry that with this new TSA banks are now going RETAIL. In retail it's a game of numbers.

The personal and business banker hopefuls would be needed urgently to get this low cost deposit from the masses especially those with experience that can woo funds from where they are coming from. Relationship officers to manage accounts can never be enough. Can't say for my operations colleagues.

To keep the hope running, my colleague in my current bank got medical invite last thursday for business banker. She wrote her test july 11 and interview/exco chat august 11. Also I got a mail on monday saying they have received my original cert and birth certificate that they would get back to me soon. Keep hope alive guys

Hi everyone. I believe so much progress has been made in my time of of absence. I've been silent here but have been in contact with quite a number of applicants through mail and watsapp. One has got offer letter, one has done medicals and at least three have done exco chat. So many have done interviews. One thing to know is the process is still alive, as long as you haven't received regret mail. some persons are even writing the test this weekend while some are taking the exco chat. As someone posted, banks are going retail and in the retail market the numbers determine a lot. Small figures over large volumes. You guys will be needed for the 'flood' that every bank will hit the market with soon. As I always say, you have to keep hope alive. I can't assure you but I will try as much to respond to queries here. But issues that have to do with person's contacts and specific matters I will attend to personally and not on the open thread.

Induction holds on 21 September and 5 October. I was told to choose between one of two dates during submission of on boarding forms.

onihaxy she just called me and told me she ain't my contact person she was only that for the interview then she finally said they are working according to vacancies for a particular position and that if there is vacancy for my position I will be called, I officially hands up from this recruitment.
