FIFA announces schedule for
Club World Cup semi-final


The governing body of world football, FIFA, has
formally announced the schedule of matches for the
Club World Cup Japan 2015. FC Barcelona will be
taking part as winners of the 2015 UEFA Champions
League. Luis Enrique's team will play the second
semi-final of the tournament on 17 December at
11.30am Central European Time (CET). The match will
be played at the International Stadium Yokohama,
the same place where Barça won the 2011 FIFA Club
World Cup title after beating Santos of Brazil 4–0.
Barça's opponent in the semi-final has yet to be
determined. A club team from the host nation,
Japan, receives an automatic berth into a play-off for
the quarter-finals. That team — the winner of the
Japanese First Division — will be announced on 5
December and will face Auckland City of the
Oceania Football Confederation for a spot in the
quarter-finals.
Two other confederations with direct slots in the
quarter-finals — from Asia and Africa — will have
their representatives announced in November
following their respective Champions Leagues. The
only club currently confirmed for the quarter-finals is
Club América of Mexico, which will be representing
CONCACAF.

The two quarter-final survivors will be paired with FC
Barcelona and River Plate of Argentina, who, as
winners of CONMEBOL's Copa Libertadores, earned
a berth straight into the semis as well.

I have been following MATs since his days at Borrusia, and he is good. We saw him last season. But I really cant tell what is wrong with him this season. If Lucho could be take the bull by the forelock and bench him for the Levante and play Masip instead, I think it would help to put him on his toes at all times.

Ter Stegen is playful YES but I wouldn't blame him for that goal. Nobody saw it coming at all, it was a wonder goal, even I had to applaud. I can blame him for the one he conceded against Bilbao in the super cup for not clearing the ball sideways or farther up the pitch but not this one, this was very unexpected, even Bravo almost conceded a similar goal against Malaga and Courtois conceded that kind of goal against Stoke city last season, so it happens. The few times he was tested he did well

Roma really defended well I must say, very good on the counter especially with Salah (Alba did well though)

I blamed him for the goal because he has conceded a replica of that goal not too long ago against Bilbao and I expected him to learn from it. I guess more credit should be given to Florenzi for intelligently lobbing the ball over the keeper than blame should be apportioned to Stegen.

I won't blame Ter Stegen for the goal No one saw it coming. Defensive Roma? The way they flooded their area would make Chelsea park bus ashamed . Even at 0-1, they were still defending. Their goal was the luckiest of all goal I have known.
