I want to buy a 2003/4 Lexus RX 330 but at the same time, people are advising me to by Infiniti FX35 or Nissan Murano.

Which one should I choose? Or do you have a better suggestion? Please state your reasons.

Remove the murano from the list, unless u mean 2015 murano then its a go.

You're not really ready to buy any car... It baffles me how a matured man with his own cash would allow faceless and anonymous people (who most prolly have no experience in his dilemma) decide what he'll use his cash to purchase

Stop comparing toys with Infiniti

FX35 all the way...If you want to be more mean on wheels, go for the FX45.....

Please stop insulting Infiniti and remove Murano from that list

Both the fx and rx330 are great cars. Fx is focused on speed and looks more aggressive. The rx330 on the other hand focused mainly on comfort with softer suspension. And as much as some people will disagree, its got the Toyota reliability which is not a myth. If I am to travel a long distance say 10 hrs drive, I'll prefer to ride in an rx. I feel so uncomfortable riding long distance on a fx due to its suspension, especially on our bad roads. On the other hand if I want to travel short distance on smooth roads, then fx it is.. That thing is a beast.

But what u fail to understand is power, torque and speed is not the only thing to look for in a car. There is reliability, practicality, comfort, warranty, resale value etc. That is why more people at home and abroad are choosing the rx330 over the Infiniti. The fx will drop up to 50% of its resale value after 3 years of leaving the factory while the rx 330 will hold up to 70% of its value after the same year.

My brother for peace of mind and reliability go for the RX 330.


But for handling, speed, stability, respect, torque, malupower, looks, levels go for the FX.


As for murano don't even remember that name again.

I do agree with your points but disagree with the aspect of reliability. From consumer rating on Edmunds.com, 65 consumers got the RX300 to a 4.5 star rating while 212 consumers got the FX35 to same 4.5 star rating.

My brother, once you pitch any auto brand against a Toyota in Nigeria, you should know where the odds are.

Even people who are yet to own theirs will tell you how admirable, say the G-Wagon is, but once you ask for their opinion on whether to BUY it, they are quick to ADVICE you on the Toyota/Lexus 'equivalent' to buy instead. It is one of the sad hypocrisies in our national daily lives.

I am a Nissan/Infiniti fan and have enjoyed premium Nissan technology in the Infiniti repeatedly. My choice will be the Fx anytime.

But you see, follow your heart and just make up your mind you promise to live with the consequences of that decision. It makes life easier.

FX is a great car no doubt, bt my guy na one chance, as sum one said earlier murano is a short one.

As far as Nigeria/Nairaland is concerned, Even if you compare a Rolls Royce with a Toyota. Majority will tell you a Toyota is better. With the usual saying that it is "More reliable, durable and fuel efficient" Its more of a Nigerian/Nairaland Mentality.

How come nobody is talking about the cracked dashboard associated with Infiniti fx34/45. At least 3 out of 5 fx I see have cracked dashboard. Talk about build quality.
