School fees shouldn't be more than 54,000 while you will have to pay for a FUTA TAB which is 30,000... It's complusory for all student but if it isn't given to you, you will be refunded just as it happened last year. My friend got the SUG President and General Secretary's phone numbers, he will have to call them for any updates on incoming year 1 fresher, and he said he will ask if there is any other provision for you guys admission which won't give much problem. So any updates, I will pass it through to you guys.

That means if we got the school fee (54,000), and didn't get the (30,000), we won't be able to pay for the school fees which is not proper. I hope we all shouldn't relent on it. GREATEST NIGERIAN STUDENTS
Sequel to the increment in the acceptance fee
of the incoming fresh Students in FUTA from
#40,000 to #45,000, the Students’ Union
Government of Federal University of
Technology, Akure in her influence brought
down the hands of NANS to have a meeting with
the Vice-Chancellor and other principal officers
of the University. After several hours of
dialogue in the meeting, the V.C. Prof. Adebiyi
Daramola in his listening hears hearkened to
our voice. The V.C said in the meeting “the
acceptance fee will be reduced by #10,000”
meaning the incoming fresh Students will pay
less than than the amount paid last session. The
incoming fresh Students are to pay #35,000 as
acceptance fee with a range increment of
#5,000 from the first batch to the last batch.

So since it's from the 1st Batch to the LAST Batch, I don't know where you got your increament for 2nd Batch and 3rd Batch. Everybody should check online for the Reduction Article and read to understand what they meant there.

Iyonortw, acceptance fee will close on Monday, 21st Sept, 2015 while the school fees isn't out yet. If you must know, there's always a specific date for School Fees closing date which is 11st December for late registration closing date for freshers, 200-500L Students.

TO: ALL NEWLY ADMITTED FUTARIANS.
FUTA is just like every other higher institution in Nigeria. Everyone in any other universities will claim that their university is the most stressful or the best. I believe that is a relative judgement. FUTA lifestyle is simple depending on how you want it. You find 75 percent of student populace seeking solace in religious activities. Social life is just picking up compared to schools like UNILAG and OAU. Unionism is relatively silent. FUTA students don't have the capacity to pull off protest stunts like OAU and the advantage we get from that is that most times, apart from ASUU strikes, FUTA usually runs a straight calender.
Now to academics which is your ultimate reason for being in school. FUTA needs you to study hard. They don't dash out marks. Make sure you attend lectures too. It helps. You will be required to take some courses that may not relate to your course , don't be discouraged. Have it at the back of your mind that you are cannot escape from offering them .In other words, you cannot be a graduate of FUTA without having taken those courses irrespective of your department! The courses include MEE 101, MEE102,GNS101,GNS102,GNS103,GNS106,and ( CSP201 and CSP210). When taking general agriculture, you will be given a plot of land to cultivate. Don't be afraid like I said earlier. Its their own way of building you to be self reliant. Wow! I have told you so much already. Morever, FUTA is a good place to study except for the fact that what you will need 5 years to do in FUTA, you can do it in 4 years in conventional universities like OAU and UNILAG.
