bykebyke:Imagine someone saying Neymar sees himself as the next best player after Messi. If Messi aint there, who will take that mantle if not Neymar? People sha. Well, why am I even worried? Even the club knows he is and that is the more reason they are guarding him like the apple of its eyes. |

Chelseafan1:[/s] We've seen games where Messi was dispossessed of the ball, and it led to Barcelona conceding a goal, but Messi won't be crucified because he replies even in a better way. Neymar looses possession of the ball too, but he replies them with goals even if it is in the 96th minute. Neymar has hardly played 20 mins in that match, yet you branded him a fool. Ter Stegen has cost us 2 goals in 2 games already, you have no say in that. It's Neymar Neymar Neymar. I yarn rubbish in Chelsea thread? No wonder I received up to a 100 likes from your fellow Chelsea fans right there. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Seems like no one is keeping an eye here on our on loan players. http://www.bleacherreport.com/articles/2569683-barcelona-starlet-halilovic-produces-sublime-assist-while-on-loan-at-sporting I like dis guy...He is just like messi wen he was 17 |

Yahoo1: I'm with you on that one. If Hallilovic continues to improve on his game and keeps his acts together, he's probably going to be the next best thing coming for Barca. It will be a change of baton. From Ronaldinho - Messi - Neymar - Hallilovic - maybe Thiago Messi (just joking) |

Marc Bartra lauds Luis Enrique Luis Enrique's squad will get right back to work on Monday morning to begin preparing for their next next, which comes on Wednesday at Celta. Kick-off is at 8.00pm CET. Defender Marc Bartra, the first scorer of the night was one of the players who spoke to the media after FC Barcelona's 4-1 victory against Levante. Bartra's goal, which opened the scoring, was not in the script. "What I like is to steal balls and do everything related to defense, but if I score a goal obviously that's also good. However, the most important thing is to help the team." He gave much of the credit to the assist from Messi: "Leo put the ball right on my chest. Passes like that make it easier. Scoring when the team needs you, that's the best." But Bartra also wanted to praise his coach, Luis Enrique. "If you work hard, you get opportunities." "I just think about training, improving and giving the team everything I have." Marc-André ter Stegen "We could have scored more goals, but the end result is very good. On their goal I got confused. I have to concentrate more." "On Wednesday we have a tough game. Maintaining this level of play is very tough because we have games every three days and we have to be very focused." "The atmosphere at the stadium is very good. So far so good, we're winning everything at home and I hope it continues like this until the end of the season." Gerard Gumbau "Camp Nou is impressive. I was on the bench against Málaga and today I'm very happy with my debut in the First Division." "It seems impossible that in one year I've debuted with the first team. Most importantly, you have to take it in and keep your feet on the ground." "Sergi Busquets is a reference for me. Whenever I'm on the bench or at home I watch hime so I know what to do when I'm out there." "In the first half Levante were back on defence, but in the second half we were able to put the game away. The team has shown that, despite the injuries, it knows how to play." "I don't have any goals, just to keep working hard. My spot is with [Barça B] and I just want to take advantage of my opportunities in the first team." Dani Alves "We deservedly got the win but we knew that we had to work hard because of their approach." "Everything revolves around Messi: the quality of the team and himself, he's perfect. Messi is our flag bearer and we want him to be as happy as possible." "The system has not changed much regarding our style of play, except a few positions. The intent is the same: to have possession of the ball and get to the goal as frequently as possible. We adapted very well and when the first goal came space started to open up." "We always think about how well we're going to play, we are always positive. We know we have to play our best if we want to continue winning." "I have to study Nolito because he's electric. He's intense and a big challenge, and in the end we play to go against the best. I know how difficult that is and I hope to be up to the challenge if the coach plays me."

Great win yesterday though scary first half. We must not relent as madrid seem to be really firing. I like the way the coach rotates the team to keep players fresh, it will really help with our thin squad. Pique should be back for the celta game |

BarcaBlood:let them be firing.....they have not meet atletico, sevila......bibao will test them.....their game so far are against two new comer sporting and real betis and two relegation contenders whats ur take on the penalty stuf? |
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 2:26pm On Sep 21, 2015 |
pelvicky:Messi remains our penalty man. Luckily the only decisive penalty he ever missed was against Chelsea in 2012. He has always scored when it mattered and all was at stake. World cup finals, etc. Those clamouring for Neymar must realize that its easy to play 10 or 20 penalties and score all but the more the sample space increases the bigger the margin for error. Neymar advocates be careful. |
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by BarcaBlood: 3:36pm On Sep 21, 2015 |
pelvicky: It's worrying TBH but I think it will be a bad idea if Messi is taken off penalty duties. It will down his morale and spoil the sweet relationship between our magnificent MSN trio. Messi is mature enough to allow Neymar take some penalties, he did it last season when Neymar was going through a rough patch in front of goal What's your take? |
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by pelvicky(m): 3:39pm On Sep 21, 2015 |
ddippset:Lionel messi should stop taking penalties. Here's a few reasons: He's statistically worse than Neymar Jr. and Luis Suárez. In fact, he's 1- for-3 in five games this season, which is very worrisome. Plus, even the guy who's accompanying him in the Mount Rushmore of football stopped trying from the spot when he saw he missed too much. Yes, the great Pelé wasn't the official penalty- kick taker at Santos, instead choosing to pass that along to one of his striking partners, Pepe. Every miss throws some unnecessary criticism on Leo, and his 77% accuracy rate might come back to hunt him one day. It's just simpler to avoid it. |
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by barackohandso(m): 3:43pm On Sep 21, 2015 |
ddippset: I agree with this. Penalty kicks are games of luck and anyone can lose/score them. What matters is scoring them when it matters most. Even the Chelsea match had ill luck written all over it, they were destined to win that match so to speak. Neymar himself won't be comfortable taking PKs with Messi on the pitch (without permission at least) 1 Like |

Messi misses a penalty and all of a sudden it's something to start fussing about?... |
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by ddippset(m): 3:56pm On Sep 21, 2015 |
pelvicky:what Statistics? Taking penalties and converting them is never a direct straight line graph. It starts straight and then begins to curve downwards. Mr A takes 2 penalties all his life and converts 2,that's a 100% rate. Mr B takes 20 penalties all his life and converts 10, that's a 50% rate. Mr C takes 100 penalties all his life and converts 45, that's a 45% rate. Now who's the best? Id go for the guy Mr C. That's the analogy that describes the situation. Having said all that, Messi could still give up his penalty duties but it should be left entirely to him to make this decision. He's missing them yes, but he's still 70 % responsible for our successes. Any attempt to take it off him forcefully would be counter productive. Cristiano Ronaldo has scored like 3 free kicks from the last 77 attempts I think, but what coach would dare to strip him? Messi has earned the right to make that decision solely by himself. If i was enrique, it would be Messi all the way. |
