Hoodlums Shut Down Alaba International Market On The Orders Of Tinubu's Daughter by kettykin: 6:18am On Sep 23, 2015 |
At the moment, traders at the Fancy and Furniture Dealers Association Section of the Alaba International Market, Lagos are going through a rough patch. They woke up on Friday, September 18, to see that their market had been shut allegedly on the orders of the President General of Association of Commodity Market Women and Men of Nigeria, Chief Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, who is otherwise called the Iyaloja General of Nigeria. Several outlets in the market were allegedly broken into and goods worth millions of naira looted by the hoodlums Source: http://sunnewsonline.com/new/tension-at-alaba-market/ 1 Like 1 Share

They had to include the TINUBU in the caption, to draw our attention. So now, you guys have our attention. My advice?obey the laws of the land, obey the laws of Lagos and the internal crisis, which was why the market was shut should be resolved. I personally think it was a wise move to close down the market, as that internal crisis might have spilled out into the streets of Lagos, with an unpredictable amount of mayhem being caused. Wise choice Madam Tinubu. 77 Likes 5 Shares |

They pay their taxes to the state and federal government and are all citizens of Nigeria, now can someone explain to me why the harrassment?? Or is it just a move to introduce area mama tax too?The more we Lagosians encourage all this illicit extortions by different factions the worse it will only get for us.Transportation in Lagos state is the most expensive over short distances despite the purchase of fuel at the exact 87naira and yet we have not asked ourselves WHY.well the answer to that is obvious (multiple taxations from different bodies). They tax us to enrich their bosses while making everything in lagos soo expensive thereby making the masses suffer more. What differentiates this extortionists from the Italian Mafia? 73 Likes 3 Shares |

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the distraught traders, Onyekwelu Chukwuemenam, regretted that the most annoying fact was the colossal amount of money the traders had lost since their shops were sealed. This is really unacceptable. No man should be denied his source of livelihood especially when earned through legitimate means, and when the victim is even a genuine tax payer. Ambode should wade into this mess and fix it asap to avoid a deterioration of the situation. 37 Likes 1 Share |
