Please I need an input from the house guru. These are my questions and situation.

I am a 27years single lady working with a bank. I applied for US visa in june this year and I was refused. I wanted to go for vacation and I have being working with my present employer for the past 4years and my annual take home pay is 2.5million. Though on my application form I filled 129000 which is what is paid to me on a monthly basis while I received the balance on yearly and quarterly basis.
At my interview the Vo asked me the following question

Vo: what do you do
Me. I work with bank xyz
Vo: what is your job about
Me: I do..........
Vo: how much is your monthly income
Me: 129000 but I received.......on a quarterly basis.(i didn't mention that I receive yearly allowance)
Vo: Are you married
Me: No
Vo: Where are you going in US
Me: To New York
Vo: Do you know anyone dear
Me: I said No
Vo: Have you travel out of Nigeria before
Me: No, Never had the opportunity.
Vo: where do you live
Me: surulere, Lagos
Vo: with who
Me: my brother

Then he next thing he said sorry I can not issue you the Visa.

Please I want to know where I have not responded well and also if there is anything I could have said because I wish to reply later in December as I want to travel with my colleagues in the office as they are planning group tour for next year February and also I just came back from UK this month.

I will appreciate your kind response.

Advice is needed from every angle pls. I am a young guy (24 years) applying for tourist visa with no travelling experience, am getting an invitation from my aunt and she's gonna sponsor my visit while my dad sponsor my travelling, I have a low income (35k), and I am planning to take off by Dec (haven't booked my appointment though). Can you pls advice on any other documents to back up and wat else do I need to knw. Thanks in anticipation...

LadyG is not going to say something because she has gone on record to say it over and over and over that that in her opinion any body seeking usa visit visa must not be lazy or indolent. That the fellow must be willing to research and read the thread. That questions that google can answer and common questions like 'what docs do I need' fall into the category of indolent questions. Less than 4 pages away, somebody even posted sample docs soo plz read. That's my way of helping.I teach u to fish. However if u need clarification on an issue that u have read on, holla me! I will try my humble best to assist.

I sell tickets and I give advice for free. The friend I'm referring to is my friend's wife.
I was with British Airways before but I now sell tickets
I'm only trying to help him. I got info here on how to get my UK visa and I got it.

Now I want to go to dubai this December with my two boys and then reapply next year May with my two boys cos my husband is not interested in travelling for now. My passport still carries my maiden name. But my kids have their fathers name. I hope we have a chance

You cant know that's the reason you were denied. The paper given to you will show that you didn't demonstrate sufficient ties and that's about all the information you will get. Leaving your husband and son behind is actually good ties for you, so there may be other red flags which you haven't identified.

It's good that you're traveling with your children to build travel history.

As per your maiden name, I believe you can explain that and also carry your marriage certificate if further explanation is needed. Be sure to change it when your passport expires though.

How's your own individual history? Was that your first time applying for a u.s visa?

Your U.K trip is a plus for you now even though it is not a ganrantee. Your group trip will not be a bad idea, even though your all trip period is considered bad timing. Febuary is towards the end of winter and the beginning of spring. I don't know if it is a good time for holidaying.
