Jesus Christ didn't come to introduce another religion into the world. No,not at all! Rather,He came to bring us into a relationship,a divine fellowship with God.




In religion,man believes that there is a God somewhere and does all he can to reach Him. In other words,religion is man working out how to get to God; how to serve, please and relate with Him. However, Christianity is totally different!




Christianity is God Almighty reaching out to man and getting man to make contact with Him. This is why God sent Jesus, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Therefore, Christianity is Christ Jesus alive in a human person. It is God and man brought together to become one divine creation. It is the life of God functioning in a man. It is the unveiling of the living word of God in a human life!




Christianity is practical and therefore, has to do with your day-to-day experience as a person. When Jesus walked the face of the earth, He was the outworking of God's Word, the manifestation of His glory. He lived the divine life thereby showing us an example to follow. This is the type of life God wants you to live.




The goodnews is, to be a Christian is not hard at all. All you need to do is to be born again. Jesus said, "...Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God" (John 3:3). That means if you're not born again, you won't be able to participate in the Kingdom of God; that is, to participate in the fellowship and oneness with Him.




When you're born again, you are brought into oneness with Jesus Christ, and once that happens, His strength will become your strength and His ability will become your ability such that when you face any situation that's not consistent with the Word of God, you can take advantage of your oneness with Christ and command a change.

The Bible says "Therefore is any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).




I believe you would like to have the divine life; the same kind of life with which Jesus walked the earth. It'll make you a blessing to your world.

So if Christianity is a religion, why didn't the first observers of the disciples look for a name within their religious beliefs to call them? This goes to show that Christianity has nothing to do with religion. It's simply living after a man's ways of life ie Jesus Christ and that man is God himself who has ever been even before man formed his first religion which I don't know about.

They were called the followers of Jesus bro.... that name Christians just came about to simplified the sentence. Everything you said is correct. Christians sort of gave them a name ie proper noun. And if you check the word Christians was even hardly used despite that naming that happened in Antioch. But people gradually changed from being called the disciples or followers of Jesus commonly to being called Christians, all still the same but with a change in nomenclature. Wow... you know your bible.
