Radoillo: Good question. Some people just refuse to think for themselves as opposed to regurgitating what they have been spoonfed. People just need to learn to respect other's beliefs. 2 Likes |

Phut: People love to talk about things they have no understanding of. ATR followers in my town make a clear distinction between the gods (alushi) and the images (nkwu). The nkwu is nothing but a symbol, and ATR folks understand it to be a symbol. Of course the Christians showed up and convinced us that our fathers were worshipping gods made of wood and clay - and somehow we accepted their 'expert analysis' of a religion they know jackshit about. Imagine being on a bike with a portrait of Jesus - or my aunt who worships at Synagogue riding through town clutching a framed photo of TB Joshua, and someone says, "Heh, what's the matter? Jesus/TB Joshua can't transport himself?" 4 Likes |
