40manlappy: The reference letter you will get has to be related to the NOC your application is linked to so, you should get the reference letter from the employer where you worked in such related position. Ask them to do the letter with the title 'To Whom it may Concern'....you won't need to provide address which will open you up |

zandora: Jesus the Way and co, I would advice that you guys should not deceive yourself on the necessity of ECA in getting through the Canadian immigration as a skilled worker either through the federal stream or PNP. Remember that even if you have provincial nomination, the final approval of your visa still lies with the VO/CIC, and at that stage you can not escape presenting your ECA.....be warned!!!. It is a standard requirement whether you are coming through provincial nomination or any other type of nomination. Zandora...take it easy! There is no need to sign off. Just to announce to the house.....I got my passport pickup mail yesterday...see you guys soon in Canada. My timeline App received date - Oct 24th 2014 Per - Jan 22 2015 MR - July 24 2015 PPR - August 24 2015 Passport pickup mail - Sept 23 2015 Wishing the rest of us God's favour!!!!! 2 Likes |

hello JesusDway, Solomonwis and other guru's here My friend applied for express entry and got ITA on July 3rd, he got everyother document available but had issues with funds in bank statement which delayed him until the 60 days expired. He logged in on the 61st day and found out that he still had a 1 day window frame in his profile, so he uploaded bank statement then transmitted his application. 5 minutes after transmitting and payment, he ggot a message in his CIC account stating that his profile as expired. the issue now is, payment went through and all documents have been transmitted and he got a confirmation message that his documents have been received before the message came in. we are not sure what the current status of this application is now. could it have gone through or has it expired? his ITA was due on the 15th of September and this whole drama happened on the 16th of September. Is there an email address someone can reach them on to confirm his status? |

JesusDWay: Thanks JesusDWay. Regarding the reference letter (TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN), please I need clarifications on the following: 1. Is the requirement only for my wife who is the principal applicant or I too need to obtain as well? 2. Should the reference letter be from her current employer ONLY or past employers' letters should be included? 3. We have obtained a reference letter in the past for our UK visa applications which was specifically addressed to the Deputy Consular, UK High Commission. Since CIC is also the body that issues tourist visas to Canada, I guess we can as well get the relevant employer(s) to address the reference letter to CIC, right? Kindly enlighten on this. BTW, the Saskatchewan PNP has closed! Zandora, Tola73, damkollins, solomonwis, Slimmsyyetty, dupyshoo, Tola73, RedCapChief, unibadan, Taiwoabo: Your inputs are also welcome, please. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by zandora: 4:00pm On Sep 24, 2015 |
40manlappy: 1) The requirement is only for your wife as that will contribute and confirm your employment points, however you can also provide a reference letter if you have Canadian experience in order to obtain 10 points. Yet still if you like you can provide a reference letter to confirm and strengthen the fact that you are working as indicated on your application. 2) The reference letter for your spouse should be from those jobs you're claiming points for ie the jobs that fall under NOC A, B or C either past or present. For example I had 3 jobs but only provided a reference letter from one of the jobs I worked for 3 years because I only chose to claim points for that work experience. 3) To save the stress just address the letter to 'To Whom it may Concern' so you can use it again in the future. Goodluck! 1 Like |

bigfido: Unfortunately I believe his profile would have expired because he exceeded the deadline. Since the deadline is calculated using Canadian time and they are 1 day behind, in reality the profile had expired Nigerian time. I would advise him to create another profile ASAP and enter the pool. It's highly likely that your friend would be refunded but in the meantime he should immediately send a CSE. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 6:32pm On Sep 24, 2015 |
twaj: ECA is required for FSW not PNPs, except in cases where the PNP specifically requests that their document requirements is going to be exactly as CIC requires for their Federal programmes. You can check CIC website for the requirement for PNPs, it's mostly based on what the province requires. My friend got into Canada via MPNP and he neither submitted or was ever asked for ECA. |

bissiejoe: I honestly don't know when they will contact you, just hope and pray for the best. You can scan separately and upload one by one, they will all be in one folder when you have uploaded them so, you are safe. |

muscheranoshenz: www.economy.gov.sk.ca/immigration/appguide-skilled-worker-in-demand Browse that link and scroll towards the end to check for your occupation there. Then go back up and read the instructions and the qualifying factors. Lets start from there. You can also check for FSTC on CIC website to see if theres any programme for them ongoing |

Hi People, Does Accra VO accept online payment of RPRF for FSW 2014? Saw a post that AVO doesn't accept online payment, only bank drafts or Certified cheques in Ghanian ,US or Canadian currencies https://www.nairaland.com/1279130/canadian-federal-skilled-worker-program-timelines/98 I received my PPR mail today and I'm thinking of paying online because banks no longer accept cash deposit of foreign currency and I won't be able to raise the draft 1 Like |

Wire transfer into accounts is still acceptable. See if you can get someone to help with that. I learnt they charge a premium though, but it's worth exploring akogun007: |

Urgent Good day House, Am asking this on behalf of a friend, her CRS is 405 and she applied to Ontario province for PNP, she then got a mail below from Ontario ‘The Government of Ontario is interested in considering you for nomination under its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) through Express Entry. If you want Ontario to consider you for nomination under its PNP you must contact Ontario directly after receiving this letter. Note that this letter of interest is not a guarantee that you will be nominated by Ontario. You will first have to satisfy Ontario that you meet the requirements of their program. You can find general information about each province or territory's PNP program on the CIC website. You will also find a link to Ontario's PNP requirements and contact information.’ After her reply she got this mail and was asked to pay non-refundable CAD 1500 for the processing ‘After you received a PT Notification of Interest from Ontario through your MyCIC account, you have 45 days to apply to OINP under the Human Capital Priorities Stream or the French-Speaking Skilled Worker. To apply, fill out the Nominee Application Form and ensure that you have all the required supporting documents.’ Kindly advise me on what to do. Has anybody encountered this before? @ JesusDway, @ Zadonra and other members. Please she needs to take a decision on this ASAP. Thanks |

akogun007: You can pay online......I paid mine online, printed the receipt and included it in the passport package to accra. If you have a GTB naira master card you can use it for the payment. Go to CIC site and check for 'PAY YOUR FEES' portal... Congrats!! |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by twaj: 8:43am On Sep 25, 2015 |
bunni12: Just follow the instructions as requested. If your brother owns the company, then getting the request 1 and 2 for you should not be a problem. You don't have to take the picture of yourself in the office...I guess that was not requested. But endeavor to be truthful as much as possible. Wishing you the best. |

Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by dupyshoo: 9:40am On Sep 25, 2015 |
A lot of people with CRS above 400 have got the invite to apply for Ontario PNP. If your friend applies and get the PNP, he/she will get an additional 600 points which will translate to ITA in the next draw. The only issue with it is that it will cost the person Cad 15500 and there is no guarantee that the person will get the PNP. As the minimum cut-off so far is 450 and considering the number of people with CRS score between 400-450 from the mid year report by CIC, it might be worth it going for the PNP. However, if the person is ready to wait, who knows, cut-off might go down next year. Anthonydebo: |
