Hello all, I've created this thread for Canadian Express Entry and outstanding FSW 2014 applicants since the previous thread became too long and has now been closed. I've also pasted a PDF link below which details the step by step instructions to apply for the Federal Skilled Workers Program via Express Entry. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4gWGgP8Vy5lSjFoaC01ZUtOaTg/view In order to apply for Express Entry via FSW you need to first have a minimum of 1 year full time (30 hrs a week) or 2 years part time (15 hrs a week) skilled work experience which falls under NOC code A,B or O. Check for your NOC code below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp Next take your IELTS General test. Then evaluate your degree or credentials via WES Canada (the best option). See link below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp After doing the above, to find out if you've qualified you need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSW grid. Calculate your score below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp Now that you've qualified, you can go ahead and complete your Express Entry profile via the link below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp Other things you must have: Reference letters to verify the work experience you're claiming points for in the specified format below: Written on company letterhead. Signed by the responsible officers/supervisor. Have the printed name and job title of the responsible officer/supervisor beneath the signature. Show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses Stamped with the company’s official seal (if applicable) The letter must include 5 things: Your job title. The dates of your employment (ideal format: DD/MM/YYYYY). Your salary per year (or month). Your average hours per week. A detailed list of your employment duties. Next you need to provide police certificates from all the countries you've resided in for 6 months and above since you were 18 years. See link on how to obtain PC from various countries below: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp Then you need to provide proof of funds for you and/or your family: Number of Family Members Funds Required (in Canadian dollars) 1 $12,164 2 $15,143 3 $18,617 4 $22,603 5 $25,636 6 $28,913 7 or more $32,191 (I've updated the funds requirement) Note: Birth certificates are no longer required for applicants but are only now required for your child/children. Wishing you the best of luck ! Previous thread: https://www.nairaland.com/1279130/canadian-federal-skilled-worker-program-timelines 193 Likes 56 Shares |

Hello house, I want to appreciate everyone who has being resourceful to this forum.God bless u all. Please,i nid ur opinion on this; my hubby Hnd transcript was sent by his sch without the inclusion of his Ond.though a mail was sent to him stating this n dat his hnd has been sent for verification.my question now is;will they (wes) conclude their report or will they wait for the OND transcript . Thanx 1 Like 3 Shares |

tolurigs: They might let it cover for the OND as well. From what I've seen, they put two years diploma in front of OND, and they put 3years diploma and 1year postgraduate certificate in front of HND. They then put postgraduate certificate as the summary. The only thing is that they may write in front of the OND that transcript wasn't sent but then his certificate was sent and since HND is higher which is their central focus, I think your hubby is good. If however the evaluation comes out with a problem on it, you can arrange for the OND transcript to be sent and added, a new evaluation will be done at likely no charge 1 Like 1 Share |

Hi, Please does anyone know how I can get my diamond bank statement of account signed and stamped. I am currently living overseas and it will not be possible to travel to Nigeria anytime soon |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by zandora: 11:49pm On Sep 25, 2015 |
kitua85: You need to be present for it to be signed and stamped in most cases. However if that route is impossible for you to take you could go for the second option which is to call your bank and ask them to post your statement to your address. This type doesn't need to be stamped as they can tell it is genuine was and sent to your address since the format would be slightly different. 6 Likes |

Thank you for your response. My current situation is that I live in the Uk and will not be in the bank in person. I require the statement to be signed and stamped. I was wondering if I could ask my accounts officer to authorize my sister (a former staff of diamond bank) to collect the statement in a branch close to her on my behalf 1 Like 3 Shares |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by zandora: 12:19am On Sep 26, 2015 |
kitua85: If your accounts officer is familiar with you then he could do that but this is a grey area because technically you should collect your statements in person. If cic sees the stamped and signed date, compares this with your personal history and sees you weren't in Nigeria at the time the statement was collected they might be suspicious. Can't you tell your bank to post your statement to your UK address? Do they have your UK address on file even if as a correspondence address? If not then you can risk going for option 1 ie asking your sister to collect on your behalf. 5 Likes |

I think it is easier putting a camel through a needle eye than applying for this Saskatchewan SINP. i just had to close the page at some point! Anyways, do i need to get my bank statement stamped before uploading it for anyone who has done it? i have spent a cummilative of 5 hours on that page today and still havent finished. I was battling with the settlement plan thing when i flipped and closed my laptop. I will just go and write IELTS again than this stress since i have a masters degree. I didnt do so well in the listening part and i figured that is the most important part of that test as it relates to Canada immigration. Zandora, i have directed my friend to the CSE and he has filled the forms. I hope he find a solution to his problem. You guys are doing a nice job. 4 Likes 1 Share |

bigfido: Thanks! You should redo the IELTS, trust me the listening is not that bad. I practiced for the listening via googling IELTS practice websites. I made sure I selected the websites that had the audio for the listening and it really helped. Practiced for 2 days and scored an 8 so believe me, you can also ace it. Goodluck! P.S - You need to get your bank statements stamped before uploading it. 12 Likes 3 Shares |

Hi all, is there anyone who graduated from Ambrose Alli University (AAU) here. I will appreciate if you can guide me on how to follow up with AAU to respond to WES for the verification of the documents I sent to them. I paid for my WES Credential Evaluation since July, 2015 and the school has not gotten back to WES. Thanks 1 Like 1 Share |

bigfido: Bros! Don't give up too soon, I started mine on wednesday and eventually submitted yesterday evening (3 days), got a confirmation mid night, think you can take your time and do it in phases. Just found out I didn't attach some documents and I will send it in a mail. I used a fixed deposit certificated for POF and guess that makes it easier for me. Good luck. 4 Likes |

Meanwhile, I'm so contesting my IELTS result that came out yesterday! I wrote the exam with my wife and those guys are very unfair. L: 7.5 R: 7 W: 6.5 S: 8 L: 8.5 R: 7 W: 6.5 S: 7 PN: I think its better not telling them the purpose is for immigration again, since they target the all band 7 requirement. I'm asking for a writing remark in atleast one of these results thou. thank you |
