Lol. Yea its always good to get them young
How can I be sure it is young?
How can I be sure it is African grey?
Where can I buy one in Lagos?
For me, if it does not talk, it is pointless.

My family own two parrots both male and female..It doesn't even talk yet and we ve gotten it for about a year now.
not all species talk. Perhaps it takes patience and training for one's parrot to start making mimicking sounds. I grew up around many birds. My favourite was a canary called Richie.

Won't it fly away? How do u control it when outside it's cage?
it depends on the way u train ur parrot,my sister own do come back home before 7pm in the night...the cage is opened from 12pm then she will allow the parrot to go and play, the parrot know the right time when to come home, but if u don't train the parrot well na to say bye bye to am be that because it will go and never come back...grin they are very easy to manage though...honestly as for me they are the best pet!!!!u need to see the way the parrot do inform my sister when anything happen...u need to be close to the parrot so that u can understand the parrot better...

I once had a parrot named suzzi. She calls me Niggaaaaaa! And screams Jesus! When she's hungry, she only eats uncooked groundnuts. I left it with my aunt on my vacation only to be told she committed suicide. I was devastated.

She's racist!! grin grin

I don't have a parrot...but wonder why people have their parrot in a cage? ...that's not cool....they won't fly away..well...I guess unless they are badly treated or if you have a cat. My neighbour had a. Macaw...it talked a lot ...and talked out some things it shouldn't!

If you don't like noise, do not get yourself a parrot.

I was the happiest when our parrot pack off, she eat every minute, talk from morning till night . Whenever she is hungry she whistle my name loud angry.

She eat cooked beans and soaked corn .

I was very happy when she was dead, she is very difficult to manage, you can never keep her shut. She is very violent , always ready to attack when it took long to bring her food.

It's two years now, I don't pray dad bring home another cause I swear I will kill it angry

haha, who knws maybe u r the one dat killed it.

My neighbour had to take away the new parrot he bought last month 2 days ago because of its noise. The parrot enjoyed infuriating a German Shepherd whose cage is just below its own cage. When the German Shepherd barked, the parrot would repeat it like 200 times. At times the poor dog would start crying

Let's set the facts straight here, parrots are lovely birds and a good pets to have but u must know how to handle them cos they can injure, it's best you get them when young if u really wanna handle them and you must have time for your bird, now there are over 300 species of parrots and not all can talk. The one with the best ability to talk is the African grey parrot also know as the Timothy parrot. Because a parrot has the ability to talk doesn't mean it would, it needs training and needs to be kept where it would hear people talk all the time so preferably it's best it's kept indoors, feeding shouldn't be a problem cos there food are not expensive they fruits and nuts. For those who want to get parrots in lagos I have a contact who can get you the parrot of your choice

Lol
She died a natural death, she was sick for sometime after which she joined her ancestor .

It was very difficult to believe I have no hand in her death, everyone knew I don't like that parrot. We call her ayekoto, the general Yoruba name given to parrot.

That parrot made me go through hell , I got blame when a single feather left her body because it was my duty to give her food, take good care of her. If she was not saying anything through out the day my dad will conclude I
did something bad to her.

They are way expensive , if you are the busy type don't buy a parrot else you go come back from work see say he don kpeme grin

They are not like dogs that you can feed in the morning and night. Parrot eat more than termites angry

The more they eat the more strength they have to make noise.
