Well, it is rather odd that SLS would marry such a young girl....and I do not subscribe to 18 year olds marrying.....let them get an education and then marry. Especially as no one knows tomorrow.

That said...the girl is legally an adult, and as such can be married, or can marry.

It is also amusing that some of my fellow Southerners are busy pretending that such marriages as the one SLS conducted are only present up North. I have delivered or assisted in the delivery of several pregnancies , and some of them were under 18, and many were Southerners.

What I am trying to say is that at least our Northern brethren at least marry the girls before they get em pregnant. In the South, we have a serious issue with under-age pregnancies. There is the baby factory thing, and there is the underage sex crisis, and so on.
