Ban On Generator Operations From 11pm Till 6am In Residential Areas by jammiller: 1:34am On Sep 27, 2015
This post is coming this early because I can't sleep from the the hell of noise from generators in my area. When another puts his on, we rush to close our windows from smoke that fill our apartment like where a diesel truck is trying to start. What happens when we are deep asleep with windows open, we'd probably be dead. Many families have died because of this. I am for ban on generator operations from 11pm to 6am; at least in residential areas to save lives as NEPA won't help.

Bring it to the attention of the family. If they refuse, report to the landlord, if that can't solve the problem, report to the police and environmental authorities.

Your life and that of your family is very important. Ones comfort should not being suffering to another

Have you heard of "right to public peace"? I have two generators but feel guilty of this each time I run either of them. I make sure I put them off between 10 to 11pm to sleep in preparation for the next days job and so others can do the same. Some folks leave theirs running all night. Very annoying when fuel runs out and the gen has to stop. Do you know there are certain noise levels that are not good for your health? Noise is not good for children, especially generator noise; part of the reason for poor academic performance, wild and aggressive behaviors. You need to get to some road junctions and hear constant loud music all day. The government has to do something by introducing restrictions till power supply becomes constant; only God knows when. Those who disobey such should be charged for breaching of public peace.

I'm a chem student too and I know that where there is a high percentage of oxygen, The effects of Carbon there is greatly diminished... infact, its effects becomes long term and not instantaneous!
