I heard that the phone can use innjoo fire battery, how tru is this pls?.. pls can anybody who has the two phones try it pls. Am having issues with this hot2 battery..

buh, some people be like "this infinix crap is so crappy my little brother doesn't deserve to endure using it. can you imagine you can't even increase backlight or play games", and they've never used an android phone! they just see the phone and go" it doesn't even have keypad. As in seriously? some people are just badmouthing it without ever even seeing it, just believing that tecno can't make good phones because they are tecno.

people really need to start using time profitably. I've been using the Hot2, and all I've got to say about it is this, IT FUCKING ROCKS AS SEVEN HEVEANS! I have used a number of phones,including the Galaxy S3,and is say I prefer the Hot2 with its Androidone to it..My biggest surprise is I don't have any of the problems people are Tallinn about here with it.I guess I see answers where they see questions and can't get over it.

My typical light use... almost 10 hours with 47% left

Mkx nd mordern combat works flawlessly bro.. But that fifa is a general prob.. Even pple with nexus nd Samsung are complaining on playstore.. The game is only compatible for few phones for now.. Even me sef dey wait oo

1.No Gallery on the phone, as one has to use Google photos to view pictures.
2.They claim its camera is 8MP,We decided to then take a picture of me using my 5.1 infinix Hot Note pro and his infinix Hot 2 and he discovered the difference. My nairalanders, The infinix hot note own was just outstanding.
3.He couldn't explore his phone memory as no file explorer was installed from the company, I then had to send him my ES file Explorer which served as an alternative to him.
4.If one mistakenly forgets his password, there is no means of recovering it.I even tried to boot into recovery using Power and volume up key but all to no avail.
5.There was no reboot function. Just power off
I am not here to eulogise any device, neither to appraise it,but to lay the fact that I can't use such a device because it is so annoying.

Den definitely uv never operated a nexus phone b4...Cant blv pple are still stressing demself on this phone.. Naija pple sha..We hate to Experiment..

my issue with this hot 2 is that the phone hangs alot and when you call you can hear the other and he can't hear you. I don't know if other users re experiencing this problem too.

What OS are you having on your laptop? Do you also have the correct USB drivers for MTK devices installed? Lastly you may have to run the Infinix Flashtool as Administrator (Right Click and Run As Administrator) for it to work. Until you flash with the original stock OS, you may have problems updating.

Sincerely I never experienced this. It might also have to do with apps you've installed. I would advise you run it bare for a while fully updated and watch if it misbehaves or not before installing apps. Some apps are not optimized for lollipop meaning if installed can lead to issues such as urs and drain battery life quickly.

Thank you jaaaare! Heavy use while he's busy wasting resources. That is more or less a reliability test.

That is not heavy usage, that is just a way to may sure ur ba3 drops from 100% to 0% in 1hr, congrats if that's ur situation. Nobody force you buy the phone

The mistake you and every other complainants are making is that, you guys have refused to understand the concept of Android One which the Hot2 is running on.

Before now, people complained about mobile device manufacturers over bloating their devices with wares not needed by the users such that a 16gb phone is left with less than 9gb for both storage and apps.

Google decided that they should partner with other mobile device manufacturers like Infinix Mobility to make a device which will run on the default Android OS without second or third party apps just strictly Google Apps. This you have there on Hot2 as it had always been on Google Nexus device.

It also affords the user the opportunity to build or customised the device to their own taste.

The fact that Google partnered with Infinix goes on to show the confidence they reposted in them to have stuck out their neck in the deal.

Back to your issues.

1. You can install any photo gallery of your choice from Play Store or elsewhere.

2. I noticed that with most Android device I've used, you need to tap the screen when focusing on an image to be captured for the best to come out. Taking it like that would come out blurred. You may also need to install a third party camera apps to get the best out of the 8mp camera.

3. There can't be any better file manager to use than you've sent him.

4. To boot to recovery partition you need to have enabled that feature under the Settings - - Accessibility - - Quick Boot and also Developer's Option - - OEM Unlocking BUT only if the user knows what he or she is doing.

Once enabled, restart your device and hold down the power + volume down button, it will show the options Fast Boot, Recovery and Reboot if you select Recovery you will see No Command but continue to press the power button will take you to the commands at your own risk.

5. Powering down a device and restarting is better than Restart button which is just for convenience.

I hope I've not bored you with my crap BUT if you or your cousin still desires the device manufacturer's blend of the Android 5.1,you can download and run it instead of the annoying Android One.

Log on to Infinix Mobility website and go to the Support section. Select your phone type and download the 5.1 version of the OS. It has everything you need in your everyday mobile device.
