if an emcee wants to infuse two punches in a single quatrain for e.g.. he would have to do beyond 4 lines
or if he needs to elaborate on his set up for the punch land properly..

lyricism is not just about punch punch punch... rap battling is now an art form...we want to see how rappers can string words together & rhyme brilliantly as well while storytelling


& it's easier to do 2 punches in a single quatrain with the same rhyme scheme if you had ample time to prepare.. but not when you have just 1 or 2 days notice....

there were multiple punchlines inside some of darkrebel's quatrains against liricyst.
even professional battle rappers often drop 13 lines before hitting the punch. it's all
about schemes, preference and the style of writing. battle rap has evolved....if ibime
does not want to read 10 lines before the final punch, he should quit battle rap entirely.

You seem not to get it. A Quatrain is simply a staza with four lines. Once you stretch it beyond that it is no longer one because you doing something else. Etymologically derived from the Latin Quatre meaning four. You can't change it to mean what you want.

You still don't get it. Every line stanza in poetry has a name. There is couplet, 2, tercet, 3, Quatrain, 4, Quantain(Limerick), 5, sestet, 6, and so on. So, the moment a stanza exceeds four lines it is no longer a Quatrian.
