Jesus Was Not Sent To Save The Whole World - Bible by rabzy01: 1:48pm On Sep 28, 2015
As a Christian, what made you believed that you being an non-jew (gentile) will enter the kingdom of God?

In more than one places in the Bible, Jesus himself testified that he was not sent to you as a black african. In fact he even warmed his diciples not to enter into the lands of non-jews and preach there. The religion Jesus brought with him from his God is for the Israelites only, so says the Bible not me.

Now lets look at some of the verses of the Bible.

1- Matthew
15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

2-Matthew
10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
10:6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

3- The diciples obeyed the commad of Jesus in Matthew 10:6 as confirmed in Acts:
11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

4- Matthew:
19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Are you a lost sheep from the house of Israel?

You do not understand the bible. There is the dispensation of Gospel to the Jews and Gospel to the Gentiles. Jesus mission was to the Jews first and to the Gentile later.

The same Jesus said:
And this gospel of the kingdom
shall be preached in all the WORLD
for a witness unto all NATIONS; and
then shall the end come (Mat. 24:14).

The above verse should pose a serious problem for muslims because it says it is the Gospel that God allowed to be preached till the END OF THE WORLD. This shows islam is not from the true God.

Quran was sent to the illiterate Arabs:

Had We sent this as a Qur'an
(in the language) other than
Arabic, they would have said:
"Why are not its verses
explained in detail? What! (a
Book) not in Arabic and (a
Messenger an Arab?" Qur'an
41:44

He it is Who hath sent among
the unlettered ones a
messenger of their own, to
recite unto them His revelations
and to make them grow, and to
teach them the Scripture and
Wisdom enough herefore they
were indeed in error manifest
Qur'an 62:2.

John 3.16, the most popular bible verse says:
For God so loved THE WORLD that he sent his only begotten son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE.
Romans 1:16 --- For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, FOR THE JEW FIRST & ALSO FOR THE GREEK
I think I'm OK with that

You are spot on. I am just seeing this post. I also suggest that we don't condemn the OPs. He is in the quest to know and thank God for you, bro. To corroborate your contribution, Apostle Paul mentioned that he was unashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God that brings salvation to them that believe... first to the jews, and then to the gentiles.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile" - [Romans 1:16].

Thank you for been part of this discussion.

I want you to tell me categorically who spoke the words in Romans, 1:16. Was it God, Jesus or Paul?

When were the disciples persicuted and went to Phenice, Cyprus and Antioch (Acts 11:19) and why did they restrict their preaching to only the jews. Were they ignorant of Romans 1:16 and Johm 3:16?

Back to John 3:16, for God so loveth THE WORLD.....
Which of the worlds? Cos there are many worlds eg one can say 'the world of soccer', 'the world of the jin', the world of magic, the world of the jews, the arab world etc and stand correct each in its context. The WORLD in John 3:16 is a definte article refering to a particular world which should be read in context with other verses like the ones in matthew to mean the WORLD OF THE JEWS or the jewish world.

Lastly, you should know that by its context, John 3:16 is neither the spoken words of God nor those of Jesus but of a third party who may just be expressing his opinion. This opinion may be right or wrong.

Thank you once more.

The bible was never meant to be a religious book. However,it was hijacked by religious folks and now Christians are in a big mess called "CONFUSION"

Since I wasn't sent to save the world, jesus obviously wasn't sent to save anyone. Let's assume the reverse were the case, what has jesus saved so far?

As for people claiming to be a Jew. The present day Jews obviously ain't the original Jew. But it doesn't matter who the real Jews are. What matters is people not being easily deceived by books written by cave men.

2 Timothy 3:16-17King James Version (KJV):-

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.

lawbabs:
Acts 10
10 At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. 2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!”

4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked.

The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. 5 Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter. 6 He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”

7 When the angel who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants. 8 He told them everything that had happened and sent them to Joppa.

Peter’s Vision
9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”

14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

17 While Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, the men sent by Cornelius found out where Simon’s house was and stopped at the gate. 18 They called out, asking if Simon who was known as Peter was staying there.

19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three[a] men are looking for you. 20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”

21 Peter went down and said to the men, “I’m the one you’re looking for. Why have you come?”

22 The men replied, “We have come from Cornelius the centurion. He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. A holy angel told him to ask you to come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say.” 23 Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests.

Peter at Cornelius’s House
The next day Peter started out with them, and some of the believers from Joppa went along. 24 The following day he arrived in Caesarea. Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends. 25 As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence. 26 But Peter made him get up. “Stand up,” he said, “I am only a man myself.”

27 While talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people. 28 He said to them: “You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean. 29 So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. May I ask why you sent for me?”

30 Cornelius answered: “Three days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me 31 and said, ‘Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor. 32 Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, who lives by the sea.’ 33 So I sent for you immediately, and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.”

34 Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism 35 but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. 36 You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. 37 You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached— 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

39 “We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, 40 but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. 41 He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 42 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. 43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. 45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues[b] and praising God.

Then Peter said, 47 “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

God's promise to Abraham was that in his Seed, all the Nations of the Earth will be blessed Genesis 22:18 The Seed there was a reference to Christ!

Besides, this is what was said:
John 1:29
"The next day John seeth Jesus coming toward him and he said, "behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the WORLD"".

Furthermore, John 1:11,12 states that He came to His own and was rejected but as many as believed in Him,He gave them power to be called the sons of God!

Moreover John 3:16 seals the sum-
For God so loved the WORLD(not Israel alone) that HE gave His Only Begotten Son that WHOSOEVER believes in Him should not perish!

But you do err not knowing the scripture Mr Islam...

It's written;

John 1:11-12

He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.

Mark 16:15-16

And he said to them, Go you into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

This is simply a case of charity begins at home.

If Jesus came to reconcile man wt God, it wud b wise to first begin wt d chosen nation which is Israel.

If d word was to go round, it must begin wt a strong foundation, n in doing dat, He has to begin by selecting n grooming 12 ppl, frm dat 12, it grew till we got the word.

I must say, Jesus is very smart, highly organized, patient, energetic, possess excellent human resource mgt, foresight, etc.

Op u shud think outside d box!!!

you are beating someone ,is it right for me to attack you without finding out , what causes the fight ? You pick one verse and then conclude , God is a murderer. The killing of the first born is the ten plague ,prior to the first plague God had warn Pharaoh to let the isrealite go , but he refused , hence he fall on the judgement of God.

Ok. What about these:

And at midnight the LORD killed all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn son of the captive in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed. ......... There was not a single house where someone had not died. Exodus 12:29-30

Then I heard the LORD say to the other men, "Follow him through the city and kill everyone whose forehead is not marked. Show no mercy; have no pity! Kill them all old and young, girls and women and little children. Ezekiel 9:5-7

all they do is quote the Quran to suit their mischief and Abuse Allah. Thier Yahweh is even worse in this context. they dubiously translate things. They will now say Yahweh is a God of justice. Justice by killing innocents? if that is the case how is Allah then not a god of Justice in this context.

Christians are hypocrites.
Bunch of liers.

I'll expose them in full fledge
but not today.

I am asking you: What is the crime of these little children to deserve death sentance from this violent, murderous and blood thirsty god?

God on the rampage lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

malvisguy212:
you are beating someone ,is it right for me to attack you without finding out , what causes the fight ? You pick one verse and then conclude , God is a murderer. The killing of the first born is the ten plague ,prior to the first plague God had warn Pharaoh to let the isrealite go , but he refused , hence he fall on the judgement of God.

they are not little children ,they are the firstborn of every family, they have pass the age of accountability, they stand the chance of making moral decision. Prior to the first plagued uptil the ninth one , they should've notice the supernatural power of God and repent , but they did not . Our God is a righteous judge , a God of justice and mercy , God will not pronounced judgment on you without warning you , God warn the amalikites of their evil did but they refuse, God then pronounced judgement on them , after that God waited for MORE than 300 years before He fullfiled this judgement, surly 300years is enough to repent and turned from evil way , but they did not.

Pleased, if you are done with your question let me know, I have very important question to ask you, its not necessary for you to answer here , just meditate on it.
