Re: My Story: How I bought a car from my Income on freelancer.com by ladywriter(f): 10:49pm On Sep 19, 2015 |
peacefulone: @peacefulone, the card is empty. You cannot verify with it. You can use your bank's card to verify it. You cannot load funds on payoneer. You can only use it for withdrawal on FL. |

Hello ladywriter , what is required to register for the payoneer card? Saw a place where it was mentioned that one is required to scan a national ID card or international passport, or either of Utility Bill bearing one's name or a driving licence. But I have non of that. Can I use my National Voter's card in place of that National ID card? |

ladywriter: Morning Ladywriter, Please could you give me advice on the best thing to do with unused bids? By His grace, my hands are full with work this month and I have no need to bid for any more projects. Is it best I use them up bidding or do I just ignore them? It seems extra credit is earned on every bid but I 'think' you actually have an option to buy back unused bids and if this is true, I don't want to waste my time logging on to exhaust my bids. Cheers. |

JSayin: Hmmmm! Am happy for you o. Just ignore them. That's what I do. One thing you should be doing is building your profile. Make sure every employer you work for gives a review at the end of the project. That is what will sustain your business on the long run. All the best dear! 1 Like |

Mcslize: I used my international passport. But I think you can use the National ID also. Try it and see if it works. |

ladywriter: Thank you my dear. I will do just that. Thanks for the advise on reviews. So far, only two employers have not left reviews for me and I thank God, I now know that I have to request for it once the work is completed. 1 Like |

franconian: All right thanks. But what of the address on the voter's card? I no longer stay in my former location when I registered for the voter's card back in 2011. So the address on my voter's card is different from my present location address. Saw some posts saying that the address on the card must correspond with the address used to open payoneer account. How true is that? |
Re: My Story: How I bought a car from my Income on freelancer.com by Mcslize: 11:00pm On Sep 24, 2015 |
ladywriter: Thanks, but one more thing that still seem confusing to me is the address issue. Must the address on the ID card correspond with the address used to open payoneer account even when the person has changed location from his former place of residence? |

ladywriter:, Please what do you recommend as the least acceptable price for a 10,000 to 15,000 book? I know all books cannot be priced the same and every client is different but what should one use as a guideline? I want a minimum amount to bear in mind when negotiating with any client. Thank you. |

Re: My Story: How I bought a car from my Income on freelancer.com by JSayin(f): 2:12pm On Sep 27, 2015 |
emmygzy: Usually I am an open minded person who is very willing to help but honestly speaking, I just want to be on my own. I really applaud Ladywriter for managing the two threads she created for Freelancer. I try to go through her threads whenever I can and we Nigerians are so impossible. We relish premature success and instant gratification. Anything short of that it unacceptable in our little minds. People have the effrontery to come there and expect quick fixes to their bank accounts. Majority of us do not want to work for anything. I once read where a lady had written about two or three articles for I think $2 each and after being paid, she came to the thread complaining about how the pay was small and the work was "too hard". What the heck? I was paid 50 cents for about 2 or 3 articles 500 words long when I started on Freelancer a two months ago but I knew it was not going to be easy. The next set was about four articles which were about 2,000 words long at $2 each. The employer withheld payment for almost a month. I continued emailing and dropping chat messages with him and kept on bidding till God started opening doors for me. Today, he dare not ask me to write for him because he has shot himself in the foot by underpaying me from the start. Till now, I do not allow price or back breaking work put me off. I can write a 10,000 word book for $160 and I can write a 6,000 word book for $30. The intensity of the research I have to do for the book determines the price. For example, because of bible knowledge, it usually takes me about 48 hours to write a Christian book. But if I am writing on something like Minimalism, it will need more research. Regardless of pricing, I cannot stay idle because the price I am going to be paid on a project is not up to four figures. I am currently working on two book projects simultaneously worth $1, 550. And yesterday, another client who I had worked for engaged me for a $60 project. I could have quickly turned him down because after being paid four figures, 'he is not my level again' but I negotiated with him so I can start his project when the ones I am working on finish. At least $60 can take care of my internet broadband. What am I going on about? Is it simply because you asked me to help? Well, I just want to explain that a couple of times I have tried it, people are not willing to put effort so I find it very hard investing my time 'helping'. You research and simplify the project for them and sometimes create the outline. You make out time to edit the work to international standard when they finish. Yet they will start complaining the price is too small or the work is too much when even from the quality of the emails they send you, you know they cannot deliver. They will not construct their sentences well, cross their 't's, dot their 'i's, use 'Am' instead of 'I'm', use 'cos' instead of 'because', use 'u' instead' of 'you'. When you tell them to send work samples, they will just copy anything in full from the internet and paste it then send it to you thinking they are smart. I have just resolved to do as much work as I can and take responsibility for any criticisms my work gets from clients. If you have any questions, please ask it on this thread, if I am less busy, I will make out time and reply. 5 Likes 1 Share |

ladywriter:But into what account were your clients paying into before you got the card? |
Re: My Story: How I bought a car from my Income on freelancer.com by ladywriter(f): 6:32pm On Sep 28, 2015 |
Scholar8200: They were paying into my freelancer account. Once you open an account on FL, you have a money account with them where employers can pay you. You can withdraw it whenever you are ready. Withdrawal is twice a week - Wednesdays and Sundays. However, your money must be up to $30 or so beforre you can withdraw to your card. You don't need to wait for your card to arrive before you start working. |

Re: My Story: How I bought a car from my Income on freelancer.com by ladywriter(f): 4:09pm On Sep 30, 2015 |
JSayin: It depends on many factors such as: 1. The budget of the employer 2. The bid of other freelancers 3. The topic or subject matter of the e-book etc. There is no fixed price for 10,000 or 15,000 word e-book. Generally, you can charge around $150 - $250. Some employers may pay higher than that. But that is the range. If you are on preferred freelancer's program, you can get employers who will be willing to pay double that amount and even more for the same word count. |

Ladywriter, please how do I cancel my plus membership? I thought they will notify me for renewal before deducting the money. I couldn't finish the bids for trial, because I have been offline for sometime. I can't wait to have my payoneer card ready. Please I need your help. |
