As many of you know, last week Dr. Ben Carson a U.S presidential frontrunner and a retired world-renown pediatric neurosurgeon, made the following statement during an interview:

"I would not advocate for a muslim president in the United States; I absolutely would not. The tenets of Islam is inconsistent with values and constitution of the United States"

For the records I abosolutely and wholeheartedly agree with Dr. Carson. However, I do not understand why muslims are outraged. Did he lie?

Would America allow the chopping off of hands for theives? Will America allow stoning women who commit adultery? Will America allow the lowering and domination of women?

I would like to know your opinion. Is Islam consistent with the values of the United States?

Sir I think u are getting all wrong in your quest to paint christianity in the same light as Islam.
Jesus came to fulfill the law in order to enable us understand it better. He came to give a better interpretation of the law. Before the coming of Jesus, majority of the jews were twisting the law to meet their selfish interests this is the reasons Jesus called them hypocrites so many times in the bible. Jesus taught us and gave us a simple path to eternity.

the stoning of adulterous women and Sharia punitive measures were set as deterent to would be offenders. If an impending offender goes ahead despite this strict rulings to commit these crimes, this means the person in question is defiant and ready for the consequences. If laws are not carried out or executed, anarchy, chaos and holocaust be bane of the human society.

Let me put it clear to you that Christians are the followers of the new covenant which is Jesus Christ. We obey him for those that hear him speak, we follow his teaching of which beheading, amputation, and stoning are not among.
Let me add that those law are not same as you claimed. lots of things are twisted in Islam as I said earlier.
