hy 68rc clown 2 b diz a litt xprnc We the first batchers reported to the academy(OLD SITE) on the 20th of July 15. We all changed into our blue n white before entering the academy barrack gate.as we entered,we were dirrected to the school main gate where on it was written "GATEWAY TO GENERALSHIP" and also a sculpture of a COFFIN was designed on top. We all moved in a single file into the school environment where we stopped at the administrative blocks and were asked to sit on the ground with our bags. Then a military police welcomed us and went straight to business. He first asked if there was anyone amongst us that did'nt see his/her name on newspaper but still came.brothers, there were alot of people that came even without seeing their name on the newspaper.some said they recieved text messages, some phone calls n many other means...they were all attached to a military police and were escorted out of the school gate.it was so painful because many were coming from far east infact there was one that said it was his pastor that asked him to come by faith even with the fact that his name was'nt on the list.lol,it was funny because he refused to go,they had to use force on him.(Mind you,the people were having a MASTER list from HQ to recheck the names). After that,we proceeded to the next stage. Here,we were seated on a single file according to states and were searched thoroughly for mobile devices, drugs and any other illegal items.our bags were ransacked corner by corner n body search was also included. Our bodies were searched by Military Police base on gender.i.e Male MP for male candidates and Female MP for female candidates. After this, we proceeded to the next stage. Here,we were seated on the ground base on state facing our state's table.i.e all the 19 states in batch A were having a table with a personel on it to check their files.Mine was Taraba. We came one by one.he will ask you your name and check your file.(Note:The file was presented to them before we came base on the 50 man list.so every succesful candidate for AFSB has a file). Some people managed to escape the asking but were caught here.My turn came,i was asked my name,my course,my state of origin and was asked to present my document which i did.after that i was given a form to fill in which i did n at the end i was given a blue tag number to wear.that blue tag number is ur identity through out your stay in the screening process.mine was TA14.(Note:this screening is different from the main screening o).We now formed a new line sitting on the ground.i.e those who were given Tag number.then proceeded to the next stage. After we collected our tag number, we were taken to our accomodation.i.e the hostel.later in the evening we went to the cadet's mess and ate our evening food then jogged back to our hostels and slept.(Note:in Academy we jogg either in 3's or 4's.walking is not allowed. The next day we all assembled in the drill shed and Certificate screening commenced.our certificates were thoroughly checked both physically n online.the certificate screening took 4days and after that the screening result was announced. Here some were disqualified for Result Furgery, lack of credit in relevant subjects, age (17-21) its very strict except u cover up wella, lack of originals, lack of local government/state indigene etc.Tag numbers were collected from those that were disqualified n were attached with military police to be escorted outside the gate. Those that remained proceeded to medicals. We were taken to NDA medical center in Perm.Site for medical check up.Our blood n Urine samples were collected,we also did Dental test,Eye test,Unclad(where y0u'll strip Unclad in front of a doctor to check if your testes are complete,if u av pile or any mark or scar on your body),and finally ECG.Medicals took some days before the final result was announced.**Mehn, this was where Men cried.it was the toughest of all the screening,n this was were many guyz dropped.we were six(6) in my room but at the end of the medical result,i was the only one remaining cos all of them were evicted. it was hard,i felt like crying.and the most painful thing is that whether you have it or not,Once they say your UNFIT you're unfit. No two ways abt that.infact, they dint tell people the area they were lacking which made it more harder for people to argue. After this, those remaining, those who succeded medicals proceeded. The day after the medical result was announced was when we started Physicals. In the physicals,we started with 3.2Km race.this time arround, eviction stopped after medicals.they started scoring people from 3.2km.the race was entirely different from the regular ones.this time arround it was in cages.Cage1-18mins,Cage2-20mins,Cage3-22mins. (Note:when you enter Cage1,you score 15marks,Cage2,10marks,Cage3,5marks).I can tell u that there was a guy that entered Cage3...So u run ure normal race and enter the cage.after 18mins,the first cage will be closed.then u continue.for those that come AFTER 18min will enter the second cage(Cage2) and after 20min,Cage2 will also be closed and SO ON n SO FORTH.after the 3.2km race,we proceeded to obstacles. We started with individual obstacles were we crossed different obstacles like Monkey Bar,Tarzan Rope n vertical rope.we also jumped vertical bars. (Note:when crossing this obstacles avoid touching red,cos when u touch red,it is assumed you're death). After the individual obstacles we started the group obstacles where we were grouped into 5 and given a problem to tackle.(Remember time counts)....after this we proceeded to to the nxt stage. The last thing before facing the board was SAND MODELLING.(A sand model is the physical representation of a written problem). Here a problem will be given to you in a written paper and an expression on ground for you to show them how you can tackle situations as an officer. Its very simple it only needs your bain to think well n fast. (Remember time counts).....Finally, FACING THE BOARD. This was the last thing we did and sure man no one needs to tell u to behave. We appeared in our pure white and blue shorts.it was terrifying cause this was where ure fate lies.I can tell u that its nothing.i was a bit afraid initially but it soon melted away.i faced the board and answered all the questions except 1 which after i left the room i remembered..i knw many will like the questions ryt? chill it was few n simple. 1.what ia a capacitor? 2.A question from (NDA)Q n A.(Physics) 3.Name 5 rivers in Africa n their location/country 4.What do you knw about TY Danjuma. 5.What is the name of his ship? It was only number 5 that i dint answer.Bt the name of his ship is "HANNATU".
