Whats There To Learn In Sex Education, are Sex Acts Not Common Sense? by bebene: 8:22pm On Sep 28, 2015
I have been hearing about sex education and how the western world want to make every country to put it in its educational system, but is it necessary, am just seeing it as an act to spoil our youth, Do you need to be taught how to make sex? sex is something that you will know as you grow.

How is it even going to be taught in a class and who is the shameless lecturer/teacher thats going to stand infront of student and tell them this is how you make sex and this is what you should avoid in bed.

pls if you have any idea how this sex education of a thing works tell me/us perhaps am getting it wrong.

So you feel sex education is teaching youth how to have sex? Really? Quite shallow.

Do you know that many teenagers that engage in sexual intercouse do not know that one could contact diesese and get pregnant?

Do you know that some feel that u need to have sex more than once to be pregnant?

I think you should use google to get informed on what sex education is.

Our kids will definitely learn about sex one day. If we don't teach them the right things about sex, someone else will teach them wrong things!

woow i see!!! but whats the use of our parent?
Mother should teach her daughter
and father should teach his son.

But allowing someone from outside to teach your child sex education is a bad idea.

Nah that's not true, some parents find it difficult to talk to their children about sex,not that its bad, but some feel they are spoiling the child...Sex education doesn't have to do with the styles when having sex

The kids also find it really akward talking to their parents about it. Especially the girls.
I was once a volunteer nd i taught sex.ed. 85% of the girls said they would'nt be open nd honest discusin some topics with dier mums which I think is disturbing. Most parents esp. African nd Arab mothers,go about it the wrong way. In that case it's beta 4a seasoned personell 2take d reins.

I agree some parent find it difficult to discuss sex related issues with their children, but. instead of teaching the children why not teach the parent how to talk to their children about sex? they are the most closest people to them in the world. I remenber our parents use to discuss everything with us including sex, they adviced and told us alot about sex and what it may lead to, they told us alot about phonography.... so am still insisting never you trust someone to teach your child sex education, teach him yourself.

depends on the relationship btw you and your mum

With the fear I have for my mum, I can't discuss sex related issues with her, just for fears that she'll start thinking I've known too much...not bad buh depends on how our parents handles such issues.

Your mum must be pretty cool then. There are books and seminars that deal with these issues.
I remember a time when we gave the teens an assignment to ask their mums how they met their dads. Only about 50% had positive answers. A girl said her mum told her that she has no respect,'so you have the liver to ask me such?'. Now just imagine if the girl had asked 'Is it alright to masturbate?'. Dem for kick her out be dat.

I quite agree with you that parents are saddled with the responsibility of educating their children on the issue of sex. But how many parents do that? They feel as awkward as the child, talking about it. Though this is not an excuse, the govt is trying to mitigate this last of communication by enshrining sex communication in school curriculum, so that whether parents teach or not, children will learn the proper use of sex.

However parents always make the best teachers. Cos they don't only teach, but monitor.

I understand you, there are parents who are very hard on their children,so since you understand that, why not come with a programm/public enlightenment that will teach parents its their responsibility to make sure that their children are well trained in terms of sex.

Hahaha your post got me laughing very hard, parents need to understand that they are the first teachers to their child and their teaching is not restricted to a particular topic/subject. Ok let me ask this question, suppose the sex education is included in our educational system and your child come back from school, you want to help him with his home work, what are you going to do if you see a book titled sex education?,or you ask him what he learned in school and he told you sex education are you going to keep quite,or what?.

Am not praying for bad thing to happen to anybody but suppose someone impregnate your daughter, are you going say you will not talk to her and ask someone to do it on your behalf? owooooo!! i know that time you will ask her,who did this to you? this and that...
who did what to her, sex?,hmmmm its already late.

Am not saying my parent are the most coolest, perfect in the world,if you mess up, you will hate yourself....but they told us almost all we need to know about sex,I still remember what they were telling my sister'Dont allow any boy to kiss, hug or put you in bed, they will impregnate you and if that happens we will disown you.........they also use to tell me and my brothers not to impregnate any girl cos if we do that we will be paying our school fees and will be snt out of the house. In fact my dad once told me not to have sex cos it will make me not concentrate and dull in school.

So parent are the right people to teach their children sex education.
