ibadanfinest: I am choosing commerce in my combination. Why do you discourage people from choosing it? Unilorin is my choice and according to their requirement for finance and banking including accountancy Mathematics,Economics and any other Social Science subject is required. http://www.new.unilorin.edu.ng/unilorin/index.php/bss-admission-requirements Commerce is a social science subjet. |
Re: 2016/2017 UTME And Admission Process Thread by ibadanfinest(m): 9:52pm On Sep 29, 2015 |
HomoSapiien: Commerce is controversial, some school don't Accept it as a social science while sone don't accept it cos its just damn too simple. |
Re: 2016/2017 UTME And Admission Process Thread by HomoSapiien: 10:07pm On Sep 29, 2015 |
ibadanfinest: Well, I have never heard that before. Its doesn't make sense for them to say 'any other social science course' and later come to say they don't accept commerce because it is damn too simple. That sound ridiculous. |
Re: 2016/2017 UTME And Admission Process Thread by ibadanfinest(m): 10:28pm On Sep 29, 2015 |
HomoSapiien: You didn't get my response. I gave you two reasons not a compound reason. 1. Some don't see it as a social science subject 2. Some don't like it cos its damn too simple. |

Re: 2016/2017 UTME And Admission Process Thread by ibadanfinest(m): 7:44am On Sep 30, 2015 |
HomoSapiien: If u wanna study Economics for example which is a social science and u picking schools like UI and Unilag, Commerce to those two schools isn't a social science. Go check jamb brochure Even in faculty of business admin in unilag, some other school call it faculty of Management or Administration. when a lecturer in Acturial science dept was quizzed a year ago, he said it was too simple that its not a test of knowledge and I wanna agree with him to a large extent. Lastly, I agree that commerce is a business subject not social science subject but the course you wanna do is bus oriented so good luck bro. But if you are gonna choose any of this school, UI, OAU and Unilag, be careful with subject combination. |

Re: 2016/2017 UTME And Admission Process Thread by ibadanfinest(m): 8:45am On Sep 30, 2015 |
HomoSapiien: Yea it isnt too. There are instances where its stated maths, eng, econs and any subject. in that instance, any subject is acceptable, but when its stated any social science subject then one needs to know the acceptable social science subject of the school one is choosing. |

Good Morning guys, On the issue of how many universities can one pick is still not clear to me and by extension it shows that many of us have not registered and early preparation is key. If you register early, it makes you intensify your preparation more than when you have not registered. As for commercial and student, we don't really have much option in terms of courses plus science students can also do some courses in faculty of Mgt and social science so the competition for the few courses is quite high and hence there is need for you guys not to rest on your oars. make I wet Una appetite with this.
