hahahahaha, I told you people this guy is not Igbo. Apart from confessing to be born in plateau state, how many more signs do you need? This is the same way Rochas found his way to Imo government house. lol

Great analysis....People like you gives me hope about our future.

Thanks bro, we need to raise the consciousness in Igboland, we need not Rochas, Obis or Obianos to make progress, we need Okparas, Mbakwes, Ibiams to set Igboland on a strong and solid footing.

Increase the consciousness decrease the number of household, Igbos need healthier households than populated cities, towns and villages.

If governments in Igboland will go on massive enlightenment campaign on the need to have smaller households of not more than (3) three children half our problems will be solved, stop polygamy, check teenage pregnancy and promote adoption, Igboland will be a 2nd world nation in 15 years to come.

Ban street begging, child labour, increase compulsory education and open more technical and vocational schools, ban street trading but increase agriculture and tree planting, promote sports and social activities and make sure the children always have one competition or the other to compete inorder to keep the busy.

Nwanne what you are proposing is BIAFRAN stuff. No baboon can ever wrap his head around them.
I remain optimistic that in 2019, that somehow (maybe with concerted effort by RBL) we vote out all the Nigerians in SE at least.
IMO that is what Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB should target to do next.
All these governors have no legs if a sustained campaign is launched to discredit them.
We need closet Biafrans in their positions. cool

With all due respect, I think you are letting your emotions cloud your reasoning. Your people are being slaughtered like animals in the north in the thousands and you wanted a Full blooded igbo man like Ojukwu to throw his hands up and surrender without a fight. Ojukwu did not declare biafra by himself . It was the eastern region that voted for him to declare. Go and read your history

If it's indeed true the leaders of the old eastern region voted for the idea than it simply means we didn't have smart people at the time because look at where we are , today. And only a ffoolish person repeats the mistakes of his fathers. You have no power in Nigeria and any little provocation you will be shot,so,what do you do. Nwanne the declaration of Biafra by Ojukwu was a necessity at that time. Eastern house of Assembly endorsed it and asked him to declare the Republic of Biafra. He never declared war but Republic of Biafra due to the killings in the north. It was Gowon led Nigeria that declared war on Biafra.

I just added polygamy but I know that one is no longer trending, you rarely see a polygamous family now in Igboland and people are reducing birthrate.

Igbo population should be decreasing, or at worst stagnant, we don't need t o many people around it will breed evil and other social vices due to lack of jobs and other social issues attached to over population.

Smaller but healthier families should be the anthem now.

The issue is that many of you don't know Ojukwu.

Ojukwu believed in Nigeria just like Zik but the Massacre of Igbos was the event that prompt for his leadership and he was already an administrator and one of the highest ranking surviving officers Igboland after the massacre.
Ojukwu believe in Nigeria just like Zik.

The core and unapologetic tribalist was M. I. Okpara, though he was a Zikist but doesn't give any fucck about whether Nigeria was burning or collapsing.

MI Okpara was the most uncouth and visible tribalist among them the reason why his development agenda benefited the entire Eastern Region. Okpara was outspoken against the Nigeria State, he rejected everything even where Zik would seek for compromise Okpara don't.

Even the mad Gambari prof Angl Abdulahi attested to it that Okpara was the biggest stumbling block in having a workable Nigeria.

Ojukwu's emergence was just by circumstance, he was not a tribalist but the massacre and FG silence brought out the beast in him.

Ndigbo need an MI Okpara not an Ikemba to move foward.

My best Igbo leaders.

1. M I Okpara.

stop polygamy? check teenage pregnancy ?
Igboland is the part of Nigeria that is least affected by these factors.
Igbo nuclear families of the 21st century are typically small. I think we have passed these levels.

The commercial nerve centre of Onitsha,
Anambra State was agog recently during the
inauguration of the 11th President of the
Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines
and Agriculture (ONICCIMA).
At the event, the new ONICCIMA boss, Uche
Apakama, a renowned pharmacist and the
managing director of Pax Pharmacy Group,
promised to unite all chambers in Anambra
State to establish a single state trade-fair.
He said that he was seeing a situation where the
three chambers would have one-voice to
enlighten and unite traders and manufacturers
more.
Apakama said that the state should have a
unified trade-fair yearly, which would be tagged
“Anambra International Fair,’’ which would not
just promote trade and commerce but also
enrich the culture of the state
He said that the chamber would vigorously
pursue an effective and responsive leadership
guided by consistent interventions on issues
bothering on the business community in
Anambra and the entire South-East.
“I would make it imperative that all
industrialists, business operators, service
providers, market associations and professional
bodies in Onitsha and environs realize and
appreciate the need to belong to the chamber
so as to speak with a strong and unified voice in
matters of common interest,” he said.
The new chamber boss said that he would work
for the realization of the “the Four- Point
Development Agenda of Governor Willie
Obiano-led administration in Anambra State”.
He said that the chamber would relate with
relevant ministries, agencies, and departments,
as well as development partners to create
opportunities and assist in driving Obiano’s
dynamic developmental plan.
He said that the chamber would strive to play a
leading role in the drafting and fashioning of
Anambra economic policies by establishing a
formidable team of experts that would advise
and complement effort of the government.
“ONICCIMA under my watch is determined to
establish cordial working relationship with the
Anambra State House of Assembly in her
onerous task of giving good legislation to the
state, just as it will play an active role in
preparation of the state budget.
“ONICCIMA is equally poised to facilitate trade
in Onitsha and environs, we shall continue to
offer service like letters of reference and
processing of travel documents such as visas for
members seeking such.
“Our chamber in collaboration with NACCIMA
will provide opportunities for members in
international trade through trade missions in
and outside Nigeria and assist in reaching
bilateral trade agreement with interested
parties.
“We will aggressively advocate for the
development of Micro, Small and Medium Scale
Enterprises (MSME) in the state and work
towards being the focal point for the
development of MSME in terms of access to
funds, assistance with feasibility studies and
business plans,” he said.
Also speaking, the Director-General and Chief
Executive of Standards Organisation of Nigeria
(SON), Dr Ike Odumodu, challenged Igbo
traders not to compromise quality and desist
from importing into the country sub-standard
products from China and other countries at
cheap prices so as to make enormous profit at
the detriment of people’s lives and the local
consumers.
Odumodu revealed that when he visited China,
he asked them why they dump into Nigeria
products they cannot use in their own country,
and the Chinese told him that it was some
Nigerian businessmen who gave them
specifications in order to produce products at
cheaper rate for them.
He lamented that Nigeria lost leading multi-
national companies like Berec, Michelin, and
Dunlop, among many others, due to this
massive importation of cheap and substandard
products into the country.
He also said that this has made Nigeria to lose
opportunities to employ their teeming youths in
such businesses and local ones, stressing that
no nation can survive and grow to become
developed economy by concentrating in imports
as Nigeria is currently doing.
He then advised Nigerian businessmen to work
hard for their products to meet international
standard if they want to gain access to the global
market.
In his speech, the Anambra State Commissioner
for Industry, Trade and Commerce, Mr Ifeatu
Onejeme, said that declining oil revenue has
made it imperative for the diversification of the
economy, which he said Governor Obiano has
started.
He said that with the prevailing situation,
members of the chambers who are
entrepreneurs should see it as an opportunity to
join hands with the state government and the
governments in the South-East zone for
economic revival and emancipation.
Taking full cognizance of the dwindling fortune
of oil revenue in the country and the
deflationary effects of economic activities,
ONICCIMA called on the governors of the South-
East to step up moves toward creating enabling
environment for the promotion and growth of
export business in the zone.
The chamber in a communiqué issued after the
annual lecture series tagged: “The Onitsha
Perspective,” pleaded with President Muhamadu
Buhari not turn off his eyes on the 2nd Niger
Bridge project which was awarded to Julius
Berger by his predecessor, asking him to as a
matter of urgency complete the project.
The chamber also urged the governments of the
South-East states to fast-track the growth and
development of non-oil export business in the
zone, stressing the need for the state
governments to quickly revive, empower and
strengthen the committees on export in their
various states for more effective actions on
export business henceforth.
The communique was signed by the President,
Mr Uche Akpakama, the Director General, Mr
Dominic Ajibo and other top officials of the
chamber.
In a chat with notable transporter and the
Chairman of GUO Group, Chief Godwin Okeke,
he urged traders to think of diversifying their
businesses beyond buying and selling in order to
catch up with the global developments in
business.
He pointed out that businesses such as farming,
fast food, confectioneries and exportation are
currently paying off than importation because of
inflammation in exchange rate, high level of
competition among importers and fakery of
imported goods.
He regretted that Onitsha was yet to realize its
potential in business because of over
dependence on buying, selling and importation.
Okeke, however, noted that the security
challenge, which hampered and jeopardized the
potential and growth of Onitsha over the years,
had been resolved by Governor Obiano.
“The major challenge facing Onitsha is lack of
steady power; if not, the commercial city has
enough potential to catch up with Lagos and
other major commercial cities in the world. We
appeal to President Muhamadu Buhari to put
more effort on power generation and
distribution,’’ he said.
Okeke thanked ONICCIMA for organizing the
lecture, adding that the lecture was not just
thought provoking but also an eye-opener.

Also, if they could remember sidewalks for pedestrians when constructing roads that would be appreciated!

I also hope they have plans to put bicycle lanes alongside the roads? I will like to see a case where healthy means of transportation will be utilized in addition to railway projects (who knows if there are plans for these and if yes, what kinda rail transportation?) so that cars will be reduced.

Thanks Gee for understanding me. Anytime I write against the airport Chino and Odenigbo will devour me, I will always maintain that Anambra most not do all at the same time.

I repeat Anambra State doesn't need a cargo airport for now, there is Enugu Airport two hours drive, there is Imo Airport two hours drive both international and cargo, Asaba Airport is 5mins drive from Onitsha, why shouldn't we leverage on these surrounding airports to survive instead of wasting another billions like Jigawa and others.

Use the airport money dualize industrial roads in Nnewi and Onitsha, connect Atani Rd and Uga Street with flyover across the express, connect MCC Rd and Orifite Street in Awada with another flyover so that vehicles from Awada down down will be going direct to main market.

What is the plan for Ngene and Anambra Waterfront, why not use the airport money dualize most Anambra Road and wait for when the need for airport will rise.

Anambra state is exploding populationwise and the need to improve on basic animities will always overide the need for luxuries.

Infact the need for a light rail line that will connect Nnewi with Onitsha should be the best song now instead of an airport that will be seeing few airlines.
The bolded is what I look forward to seeing in Anambra state. Also, a cargo rail won't be a bad idea as it will be used to convey goods to other parts of the state and Nigeria.

The solution to waste management in largely populated areas is to reawaken people's consciousness that waste is money. Partnering with the Germans and the Japanese on this will be great. They are a success in churning rubbish to multi million dollars ventures. Funnily enough the recycle plant get its raw material(waste) free of charge
I've been studying the feasibility of turning my sewage tank to biogas for electricity generation. One group is promoting that although I'm yet to be convinced of its sustainability. I mean beyond the video clip demonstrations
Aptly put! There was a day I watched on TV how the vehicle conveying wastes in Japan was used to power the vehicle. They take it to the waste plant, after some recycling, the driver uses the fuel pump to fill the same waste vehicle.

If there is a State that needs an Airport urgently,Anambra State is one of Them!. Anambra State is not committing much to the Airport project, but most of the money are coming from investors who are already looking at it to see what is on offer!.Your other suggestions is good also but you need a governor who is way ahead of other governors in seeing what you are seeing concerning Anambra State!.I strongly believe that we will get there God willing!.

Anambra International Cargo Airport is already under construction under PPP. Three brand new dual carriageways linking the facility is equally under construction. Pipelines are being laid to supply ATK at a dump within the airport facility to serve as the hub for commercial sell of ATK in West Africa.
