I Have Lost The Compass Of My Life. by Malawii(m): 7:30pm On Sep 29, 2015 |
Haven gone through hell before graduating from higher institution ,I have travelled far & near lenght and breadth of this country attending interviews using the meager money I had save from my service year. I have also registered with workforce ,ICS and other consultants coupled with the manual submission of CVs under the sun and in the rain using my legs to coordinate the submission in the process all my shoes has wear off due to constant job hunting. I don't want to talk much on ICS, we all know their modus of operandi especially the gaurantor forms issue the bitter side of it is thetransportation fee to the regional office whenever I receive their msg which do cost my not <= 2000 without taken any snacks or drink. For all these rigourous process it has not produce seed talk less of fruit. I think am in the wood ,lost and I have lost my compass and I don't know what to do,have prayed and fasted fervently but here I am still can't find anythin.many a times I do stay indoor weep for my life and avoid gossip & disrespect because I have becom a laughing stuff in my area especially when ever I returned from either job hunting or interviews. Dear my fellow NAIRALANDERs I really seek your unlimited help, advice, information and vacant positions minding not about my qualification. I do hope and and pray that it shall be well with us. Ameen. Thanks in anticipation. Frm: malawii Cc: seun and well meaning nairalanders. 2 Likes |

OP. I can't help you, only God can and he will use human being to do that. Well just like I said. Just relax. I know of a friend that is in ur situation but one Oga at the top is assuring her she would get a job in their organization once ministers have been approved. So just be at alert. 1 Like |

I feel like crying, of all the unemployment story I am reading here on Nairaland this is the story that touches my heart. I just graduated waiting for my service which is next year (by God grace). But brother I got a part time teaching which pays #18.000 per month. But my my uncle just spoke to the proprietor the next thing I was called to start working. The point I am trying to make here is leverage on others it may be from your family tier, it can be from your church or your mate. GOD use others to help you achieve your goals. Don't underate anybody cos the least person you don't expect can change your life for good. The Lord is your strength problems come so that at the end we can have a testimony. 9 Likes |

Malawii: sorry to say this but what other things do you have apart from this degree that the company need, maybe a network knowledge, a web developer, a programmer. if you don't fall into this category then believe you can only work as a teacher/lecturer or a IT officer in one small place and those small place don't advertise their jobs. my advice is that you should seek a teaching job and during the the time, develop your skills and you will become an hot cake. me self don dey finish self study on web development. with time, things will get shape 1 Like |

Dont make the mistake of staying at home while searching for a job. Develop yourself, I understand that you might not have money for professional/vocational training, opt for volunteer jobs and acquire experience. Attend free seminars, professional events and expand your network, talk to people irrespective of the person's level, recommendations works fast. If you have been in an environment for too long jobless, don't hesitate to change it. And above all dont lose Faith. These steps worked for me big time 2 Likes |

Some times we pity ourselves when things does not work out the way we expected. The more you hope for, look for,the more you see less. You begin to wonder if God even hear your prayers. My brother you can start in your community, see what the people desire most, with that 2000 you spend to that office always to look for job you can start business ,u can start wit pamper, tissue, house to house, street to street,to marketer these things for your self, with God mighty power you will succeed, Today I employ people here in warri,i started very small, from the house, but now have place I called office, with people working hard to meet their target. John.F.Kenedy said what can you do for your country, not what your country can do for you. If you choose to work for me 08163049072.this is my number,i pay 18k,with transportation in warri as a marketer. So wakeup, am not good in business, the stomach don't want to hear it,when it need food. God bless u |

@Malawii, its sad what you have been through, but do note that many great people you read or hear about today went through similar or worst situation, so be positive no matter how bad it is now. I can recommend you to apply for some jobs, but the truth is we are not yet in charge of hiring applicants for any company presently; we hope to expand in future. You need all the help you can get, but then, it is not just you alone that needs this urgent help, many Nigerian youth graduates need it too, so I am going to give you some vital advice that others in your shoes can as well put to use to improve their condition. You studied Computer Science...of course no course is a waste....so your course or certificate has nothing to do with your situation because there are thousands of people with same or lesser qualification making it big in Nigeria presently. My advice to you and others in your shoes: 1. I want to believe that you have good computer skills- Excel, PowerPoint, CorelDraw, Networking, Photoshop, etc. If you are good in any of the aforementioned skills, and maybe you own a desktop or laptop computer, please kindly create a poster for computer home tutor with your phone numbers and go paste it at strategic locations in your area. Note: if your area is not kind of developed, please find a way to move out to a nearby city or town. Do this asap! 2. Make sure you move out of that your present comfort zone to any city where you have relatives or good friend ready to accommodate you for a while. Once you get to your new city location, locate any good Pentecostal Church. I will recommend: 1. Winners Chapel 2. House on The Rock 3. Redeem 4. Any other church that has good pastors and thriving members. Don't be shy, after attending church service twice (be punctual), ask any friendly usher to direct you to one of the good pastors in the church that you have a problem that need urgent assistance. Bare your heart to the pastor...don't be shy. Trust me, the pastor will do something for you with time. He will start sniffing around for any possible job (teaching, etc, don't turn down any). Also tell Pastor you have so so and so computer skills and ready to do home or private tutoring for people, including teenagers. 3. Stop applying to big company jobs only! Apply to both small jobs. 4. Since you can browse, go to: www.blogger.com and create a blog, and do what? Share your life experience portion by portion, and share on Google Plus. Don't do this to make money, do it like you are telling your story to people that care to read. Sometimes share your story link here on nairaland. Be honest with your stories....try and update your challenges, success (no matter how small) for the week, and steps you took to make the success. Keep doing this like your daily diary while applying for jobs and doing other things. Don't turn down teaching jobs....don't turn down small IT jobs....don't despise any salary....don't be greedy. Lastly, cultivate the habit of praise! Don't always pray to complain to God....sometimes in the morning, wake up and sing praising songs and thank God for keeping you alive and healthy. Do these things from now on and before December, you will come back with testimony. Also, you can always visit our website: www.noadvertjobs.com for latest unadvertised jobs. Follow us on Twitter @noadvertjobs and feel free to reach out for help when needed. I wish you God's favour and mercy soonest. 6 Likes |

Malawii:you r a computer scientist and still jobless. It means u don't ve the practical knowledge of what you study. Osun state is not a village find an IT firm to attach yourself for internship. Gain some practical experience in the various computer science divisions. And i can assure you things will be better. |
