"Would I were with him, wheresome'er he is, either in heaven or in hell."

If so of any either of... well, mean me the dyad as was said by this complaining tongue be with him where
Pining in pining in whining inferno that be dining
Or in beauteous or gorgeous gold - partyin' paradise - transientness, that go good the good spirit feel alive dead.

Little Dog Heal My Soul: Little dog, little dog Where have you been? Come into my humble home And lay your tears Howl into my painful heart And chase my fears away Lick my sore clean of iniquity And dirty my heart with purity Show me were there is light Even if there is no light As your sad eyes seeks happiness Come into my humble abode So i can feel joy In the midst of pain

For cities are laced with legs loitering in lots like a lost calf
Umbilical cord some man pulled out today to pipe fuel in tussle
Everyone's car need to eat fuel to ease life so fights stretch like a snoring sea
Lots are in soup again agonising like a barren bat fuel pleas back to Naira nine.

I am only me, that is all that I can be
No more, no less, don’t second guess
I love , I laugh, I live and cry,
I’ve wished at times, that I could die
Some days I’m funny, others I’m not,
sometimes I’m in overdrive and can’t stop I am a loyal and honest friend,
You know that I’ll be there until the end
I am a young poet, my friends my
greatest gift,
The smiles on their faces always give me
a lift I am a romantic, sensual, and passionate
too,
to the love of my life , I’ll share thiswith
you
I can be sweet and shy or sassy and bold,
I’m quite a handful, or so I’ve been told I am not perfect, I do have my faults,
like when I get scared I put up high walls
Or I’m not as forgiving, as I’d sometimes
like to be,
because when I hurt, I hurt deeply
My logic is all my own, at times misunderstood,
because I don’t always do things for my
own good
I have many facets, like a diamondyou
see…
I am only me. A young poet

I've eaten from the tree of knowledge forbidden,
And got exposed to the profound flavors hidden
Now I'm cursed with the blessings of knowing,
87% of my energies were caged from flowing
Though the truth hurts but the truth set me free
Yes, my sins found me and my sins let me see

Hello everyone, i'm indicating interest to join this club. I hope to learn more to improve my literary skills. I have been a silent follower of this poetry section for a long time now.
Help me dissect this poem i wrote

A DISHONOURABLE HONOUR.

The frenzy was just unimaginable
Everywhere so buzzing
Cards at the marts again became profitable
With aroma of berbecue in eateries oozing

They said love is in the air
Red skimpy wears clutched the pleasure zones of our eves
The other parts, the sun treated so unfair
Twas in honour of Valentine the love chief of chiefs

Down the street was a pitiable sight
Tears streaming down the cheeks of a daughter of eve
Her boo she had just caught pants down with another in broad daylight
She too earlier was with another so brief

At the other side of the bend
A horror movie beamed live
In a clandestine manner a life came to an abrupt end
By the dagger of a jealous gang of five

Just down here right beneath my floor
A man violated a daughter of eve
For daring to walk out of the door
Without returning his valentine's financial gestures with a cleave

As the seconds ticked by, ushering in nightfall.
Traffic became mad as hotels and hot spots turned into a place of pilgrimage
Concubines sat on the laps of Ogas while baby-making machines became expendables like James bond in skyfall.
Condoms littered the roadsides in the wee hours thus painting a sodomic image.

In honour of Valentine they say it is, or is it not?
I can't stop but keep wondering.
How messy it has been for the memmorial of a poor priest who dared the emperor to tie the knot.
With this dishonourable honour methinks his spirit is not at peace but wandering.

To the people of corinth St Paul bared it all.
That love does not rejoice in evil, so it is.
To play in our court now is the ball.
So lets right the wrongs by loving rightly with ease

Handwriting on the wall

You have been weighed
And been found wanting

Your offerings have been deemed
To be not sufficient for these goddess

Worshiped far and near
She has become a little more selective

And so you would do better
Not to bother at all

Woman
For that is her name

At least so it was
When I first heard of her

She has assumed since then
Many names and many guises

Some unworthy of her
Some unprintable

Like many worshippers before me
I offered and offered

Like many before me
My offerings suffered the fate of filth

Sometimes she is just a little merciful
She does not speak but writes

And seeing the handwriting on the wall
The supplicant knows his fate

As I have
More times than I would like

Found wanting I renounce
The worship of such a deity as this

In my anger and hunger
My heart turns away from her

Who has caused me unimaginable pain
Like many before me.

You who my eyes do not know

Someday soon
I will find myself
In your arms again
Be it in life or in death

Time will pass
Seasons will change
But I will desire nowhere else
But the home of your arms

I will know
The charms of none other
I will seek
No one else but you

Whom my heart knows
Though my eyes do not
You who has plagued my dreams
And every waking hour

I will find you again
And it will be
As it has forever been
If only in my heart

My heart has known you
My days have sought you
My dreams are empty without you
Who my eyes do not know

And will not
Till the day that time will cease
And I come to life
Never to die again.

TO YOU MISS...

Oblivion..
The state of being completely forgotten
The inevitability that all would come to an end
Accordingly to Hazel Grace.

There are few things one is scared of
And there are fewer things that scares me.

Failure for example
Loosing you,
Not making heaven could be counted as one also.
But the scariest is you not having a memory of me

How precious things slips from one's grasp
I lost you
The soul bleeds to those words
The heart can't explain those lines

I was careless
Thought you would be mine forever
But nothing last forever
Hazel Grace made that clear

I hope you forgive me
For never taking you serious
Better, never showing you how serious i was about you.
You are my very own *Treasure*
Always and Forever

Not me

It hits me
As I walk into the room again:
Your scent
And the memories flood back

As does the pain
As I crawl
Into my bed
Alone

You are
Somewhere else
With someone else
Not me

And tonight
You will be
Loving someone else
Not me.

NATURE IN HER

She wore the sun as her blouse
Roses as her skirt
Star's as her necklace
And lemons as her slippers

She lightens up the atmosphere
The best fragrance ever smelled
Sparkling bright is all I sensed
From her depth, I will drink well

So colorful she appeared
Irresistible I comment
Before she's been told by her friends
You are the best till my very end

Will like to be led by your sun
Wrapped up by your roses
Complemented by your star's
And drink from the juice of your lemons

NOT ABOUT ME

It eats you up
But you cannot say
Just how much you wish
That this swan song
Could be sung another way
Swing my way
And stay with me
So that it's my eyes you look into
My arms that hold you
And my body you caress
What we see instead
Is that I am the confessor
I hear the tale
But it is not about me
At least not this time.

HUSH: AN ODE TO SILENCE

Silence is the first love of one whose mind is a borderless eternity
Of ideas ascending and descending the stairs of thoughtful thought
Silence is the sole demand of the creased forehead
Of the lingering ball-tip of the pen, as ink partakes of paper
Of hesitating fingers poised over lettered buttons before an illuminated screen
Silence is the desire of blank journal pages
And of their ever disappearing composers
Silence stands back like the proud parent that it is
To admire art, in song, dance, word, and colour
Silence feeds the soul as it assumes a position which is beyond natural
As it is transported to realms of which the lips cannot speak
Silence is the sound of a waterfall,
It is the language of the trees when the wind comes to play
Silence is the chirping of birds and insects amid blooming flowers and the colours of warmth
It is their absence as dry, cold winds are watched from behind locked glass
Silence is the pitter-patter that leaves bubbles on leaves
Bubbles composed of hydrogen and oxygen
Silence is the twinkling of the stars
And the perking up of miniature ears as fables are exchanged beneath a full moon
Silence is the occupation of the choking mind
When a million voices threaten to drown out its message
Silence is the atmosphere of the morning after-
After love, after life, after death
Silence is the moment of truth, shock, and sorrow
Of all the feelings whose palms are prone to giving hard slaps
Silence is great company for tears as they roll down cheeks
For quivering lips, and the sobs that are ever so willing to escape past them
Silence is what the ear translates as emptiness
But that which the mind and heart could find nothing louder to compare with
On a bad day, silence is fear, and the caging of freedom
The tying of tongues while rage is bottled up, and consumes the spirit
The suffocation of the inner being
Silence is a species of noise, designed for a species of people
And each species of people, has its own species of silence
My silence, is a weapon
With which I hit my target, exactly
Like a well-played round of darts
Silence is the name of the face of every night’s stand
Of the stranger lying in my bed each time you walk into the room unannounced
I make love to silence, silence makes love to me
And my orgasmic burst
Is not nearly a burst
It is a ‘hush’-
A plea for more
More silence

Being Real, Not Being Hypocritical.

That's just me being real...
You get me?
Not trying to Lord it
I expressing what I feel.
Days pass, and I sight. ..
Every. Bless-ed. Day...
A man on clutches,
A woman selling wares,
Howling his plight~
Displaying silverware.
How long will I give fish?
Without helping one to fish?
That's not enough, I think
I'm still selfish.
There's a man, a young man...
He drags his broken temple
Everyday, he prays:
Please. .. Help... Me...
God... Bless... You...

He is crippled by Polio...
...and I feel pierced. ..
I should know
I feel his plight.
It's beyond a mere pitiful sight.
I will do something.
Anything...

'Cause I cannot continue to feel...
...without me being real.
