In an offensive operation to clear Boko Haram terrorists enclave around Kwatarha and Torikwaptir general area of Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, a notorious Boko Haram commander that had been wrecking havoc among the communities was gunned by our troops on Monday afternoon.

During the operation 4 other terrorists were believed to escape with gun shot wounds. An AK-47 rifle was recovered from him.

In a related development, troops of 3 Division have arrested a suspected Boko Haram kingpin, Alhaji Tijjani Usman Damagum.


He was tracked down and arrested at Damagum town, Yobe State yesterday.

Damaguum has led Boko Haram members on various attacks especially in Yobe State.

The suspect is currently undergoing interrogation with a view to arraign him soon.

If it is true, kudos to our troops but if it is another way round, they stop showing all these unknown faces. Police is always doing it by portraying innocent people as criminals. We are tired of this. Who knows whether that guy on the floor is a motor accident victim. I don talk my own.

Oooopsss...I thought u are talking about my post...well about the derogatory word in my signature, well...well....well....you know how a lot of "church goers" see anything arabic as Islam and devilish...I wrote a nice piece I said "wishing all my friends, family, and enemies a wonderful week" I translated to arabic and posted on my Facebook timeline... I had many ppl, churchgoers and all criticizing and analysing without even taking their time out to check the meaning. some were asking me why? So annoying..
