All this crisis are cursed by USA. You are funding FSA to to fight Assad led government..These guys are mostly mercenaries that came from different countries round the world to fight for money. They will always fight for one that pays higher.

The Saudis offered higher pay which led to the formation of ISIS. The remaining members of FSA saw it as a power tussle between them and ISIS even though Assad led government remains the general enemy. While all these things are going on, you are killing and displacing innocent civilians because they can't be protected by the Assad led government , who is fighting both ISIS and FSA simultaneously thus has no time to care for her citizens.

This same thing happened in Iraq and Libya..After the killing of their leaders, different factions of rebel/terrorists that arose started fighting themselves for power supremacy thus leading to the total destruction of the country.

That's why Putin told the White House instead of them to fix the problems they created in Iraq & Libya, they are busy creating another one in Syria. That's why Russia and it's ally said enough is enough. They decided to start with the neutralization of FSA while Assad forces will have enough resources to deal with ISIS. Once Russia is done with FSA, they will face ISIS. Once these two monsters are dealt with, other splinter forces will go back to their shells.

Europe generally doesn't have any stomach for war - after fighting two brutal world wars and nations were carved out to maintain territorial integrity and for prosperity. The elephant in the room is the US which is hellbent on world domination. And for the US to achieve total domination - Russia has to fall under its sphere of influence - especially Siberia, hence the US always label Siberia as the second biggest prize in the world. Also, the road to Asia, goes through Russia and the whole of Euroasia is very strategic to the US. Another reason why the US wants a weak and fragmented Russia.

Let to Europe - most Europeans want a unified Europe, with Russia as part of it. But the US won't let that happen. Europe is a very small continent and adding Russia to it, would increase its size and reach - and open a lot of doors to Asia. That's what Europe wants.

Militarily, at the moment, European countries aren't that strong (compared to other world powers). France is France - the country will always cower under intense pressure militarily. With the UK - the empire died time ago and the country cares more about the money coming through London than war...and apart from creating an effective and small military, the UK has no stomach for war. Germany hasn't recovered from World War 2 and its military is in a very bad shape due to the never ending occupation by the yanks. Ditto Italy and its 3rd rate military.
