So interesting that this same igbo that rejects bitterly the tranfers of boko haram prisoners to their region are bitterly agitating for ministerial slots......you want the sweetness yet you can't sacrifice.

After a long wait, President Muhammadu Buhari finally submitted the list of his cabinet to the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.

The president has been at the receiving end of harsh criticisms by angry Nigerians over his ‘deliberate’ refusal to unveil his ministers three months after assuming office.

The president had anchored the reason for the delay on the ground that he needed time to select those who were credible and trustworthy to run the affairs of the nation with him.

DAILY POST reports that the list, which was submitted to the senate president, Bukola Saraki yesterday by Buhari’s Special Adviser on National Assembly Matters, Itan Enang would be officially made public at the next plenary on Tuesday.

However, report has it that among those penned down for ministerial appointments were, immediate past governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, former lawmaker, Chris Ngige and erstwhile governor of old Anambra State, Ogbonaya Onu, among others.

However, sources told DAILY POST that Chris Ngige’s name came in at the eleventh hour.

According to a top presidency source, President Buhari, who has been constantly accused of marginalizing Ndigbo over their refusal to support him during the election, didn’t have it in mind to appoint Ngige.

The source told DAILY POST that Ngige’s appointment was done to mainly compensate Ndigbo.

“Ngige was not part of the first list of people compiled, I can tell you that. His name came at the eleventh hour. The president had a change of mind because of the complaints in many quarters that he was punishing the south east region because of their refusal to vote for him during the election.

“It took the intervention of some close associates and aides for the appointment of Ngige.”

Asked if president Buhari was truly angry with the south easterners because of the outcome of the election, the source said the president had nothing against them.

“See, that notion is wrong. The good thing is that Buhari has won the election and that is it. Where the vote came from is not the main issue now. Remember, he said he belongs to nobody and belongs to everybody,” the source added.

So how did Ngige being norminated for minister be compasation for Igbos since Ngige will be representing Anambra slot in the ministerial appointment?

You should go back to your lords and ask them to arm you with a sellable propangada and deceit.
This one is quite dumb and cheap. It just wont sell.

as much as I doubt the story, I still want to believe the op posted what he saw out there . If the story is anything to go by, it then now mean ngige did not go through the purported dss screening which every other nominees went through since he was picked at the eleventh hour. Dss completed their screening over 2 weeks ago, so ngige inclusion couldn't have been a last minute thing.

NB: BUHARI may end up having 2 ministers from anambra since I heard obj wants him to include soludo in his list.
d most intelligent response I v read thus far. Eleventh hour koo last minute nii. So they mean Ngige was screened by d DSS within minutes. I must say that Buhari is so unlucky dat appointment of 'noise makers' is a constitutional requirement dat must cut across d 36 states if not I dont see needing them let alone choosing one from our 5%. Dont be surprised if d SE nominees are assigned to ministerial portfolios dat are relatively at d fringe of governance while his allies man d major ministries. I dont see an egalitarian society in this govt and how I wud v wished some of these nominees had politely turned down d offer at least to make a statement dat d last time dia names appeared in d list of noise makers was way back in primary school. Lets I forget, what of Femi Falana whom most tipped as d Attorney Gen from Ekiti?

BUHARI didn't call ministers noisemakers without saying permsec are the brains behind every ministry and they are the ones who work even when the ministers are gone, and he asks: why do we care so much about ministers? It's a straight question that holds a lot.

Again, having soludo as finance minister is in no way going to be a be a noisemaking role, rather an active role.

I support having falana as the AGF, do u?

If this story is true, then, I want to know if Chris Ngige is nominated to represent a state from the North or Igbo will have more minister than other tribes ? If no, then nothing like compensation. Every state of the federation is entitled to a minister at least.

If buhari did not pick fashola and amechi, then i would believe he belongs to nobody. Fashola recklessly spent lagos state funds. To the level of upgrading a personal website for 78m.

In a sane country he would have been cooling off somewhere. He would be asked how many people bidded for that job and why did he award it to that company at that amount.

That said, jonathans ministers are far better than these ones buhari picked out of party membership and investment, not based of merit.

With the situation this nation has found itself economically, buhari can not be doing favours with positions.
As much as I believe evryone shd account for their actions, allegations are not enough to keep the Amaechis n co frm gettin ministerial positions! This is where the PDP shd b proactive enof and bring such issues to d frontburner of National discourse and petition d relevant authorities-not letting socialmedia warriors do their work and also makin noise thru d Fayoses and Metuhs!

Its so funny when I read most of the comments here by 'the future of tomorrow' Nigerian Youth; so concern abt which region(people) of our nation got ministerial appointment; when we should be tasking the few elites who are ruling to perform. No wonder the Elites always behave in this part of the world becos we that should stand up for a better tomorrow have become their praise singers

And you are what?you accuse someone of what you clearly are bigot with no sense, atleast PMB has class and sense than you. Whether he's a Fulani or not we love him like that. Why is it that u people like to castigate someone who has never has been indicted or charged by the house or any anti graft agency for corrupt practice, but u did not see anything wrong in the selection of Chris Ngige who is bundle out out of office as governor

Who gets indicted in Nigeria unless you have issues with the corrupt God fathers.

Fashola admitted to such a contract .This is the reason there wont be any change in this administration. All buhari fought for is to return power to the north. Then reward those that helped him get it back.

If this list is what he really appointed, Then it means buhari never had any blueprint or economic plans for Nigeria. It all these years he was contesting all he wanted was just to be a civilian president like obasanjo and co.

Because all the while he was contesting these men were in govt, so had it been he won the election those years, will he pull fashola or amechi from the govt house to make them ministers.

With citizens like you who will turn a blind eye to corruption because the person is from your region, dont expect any change to come your way because you yourself have not changed , neither have your leaders.

so we are all agreed then that ministerial appointment is for 'chopping' , since we are talking about favouring and compensating. So it doesn't have anything to do with what the person has to offer and nation building. Nigeria at 55 we are still a long way from the promised land grin

I said if the list is real. I dont need 4 yrs to know. Amechi that engaged in a wateful rail project which cost billions and now abandoned, why then appoint such person who left abandoned multi billion project lying all over rivers state a minister?

Or fashola who uses state resources and property to do favour for friends. Havent ambode recovered some of the property he sold to friends at ridiculous prices? Or the personal website abi blog he upgraded with 78m.

If this list is true, then Gejs administration will be far better. There was more money from crude and qualified people as ministers.

In this buhari admin, there is very little resources available and he is sharing positions to friends. Lets see how they handle this.
